Both pieces have been refinished, but missing veneer work was not done, so, as you can see in pics 4& 8 there is slight edge veneer loss at the front side corners. In pic 5 you can barely see that the veneer has been re-glued. There are a few nicks here and there, and there are hardware circles around a couple of the drawer pulls, where the handles have been rotated and made a circle in the wood around. The hardware, as well as the design, makes this piece much more eye catching, with steel pulls and horizontal rosewood tips on each pull. This piece measures 54" x 32" x 18" deep. Tall inlaid vintage Swan carved 7 drawer dresser
You are bidding on this absolutely wonderful very old dresser. It has carved swans on the front. Inlaid wood throughout the piece. It has 7 drawers, which could have been used for either woman or mans dresser. There are number stamps on inside drawers(not sure what they mean) Was going to shabby chic, but when I realized the wonderful work of inlay, and the way the veneer was placed to make the grain of wood go in a specific direction for looks, I just cannot cover this up with paint. I picked it up at an flea market, looks as if someone was going to redo this piece, so the medallion on the front is missing, so is one wooden knob(which could be replaced easily) There is some veneer coming loose and is off on sides where I am sure, was from picking up and moving so many times. This piece would look wonderful in an foyer. Bathroom, living room ... moreas well as the bedroom. It needs to find that special place in someones life again. Vintage tall and heavy crystal lidded bowl on pedestal. Very detailed design. Possibly hand cut on the upper part of the bowl, featuring frosted opened flowers and clear long stems with leaves. The lower part of the bowl features a diamond pattern. Multi-faceted stem with enlargement of the design half way of the stem. Oblong grooves on the under base. The lid features a similar pattern and design. This High boy in the style of Queen Anne. Was custom finished in a flat off white color with custom gloss brown hardware. I had it finished before we had completed the renovations on my daughters room. Sadly when the room was completed it became clear that due to some building changes this lovely piece no longer fit in her room. I has been used for maybe 3 months. TALL CARVED ANTIQUE OAK ENGLISH DRESSER MIRRORBACK SIDEBOARD CABINET UK IMPORT
Here is an tall oversize antique beautifully carved oak sideboard with fabulous carvings on the doors on the lower cabinets. Fronts of the drawers and all around the mantle and with three gorgeous beveled mirrors, two candle stands and lovely carved bonnet on the removable decorative back mantle over a strong sturdy base with two large drawers over two large cabinets. With the back mantle in place this sideboard stands 86.5 inches tall by 62 inches long by 20.5 inches deep, front to back. It travels in two pieces- the large base cabinet which measures 40 inches tall by 60 inches long by 20.5 inches front to back and second piece, the carved back piece with three beveled mirrors and two candle stands which measures 46.5 inches tall by 7.5 inches front to back by 62 inches long. There are two large drawers. 26 inches wide by 16 inches front ... moreto back by 3 inches deep. The lower cabinet below the drawers, behind the two lovely carved doors is 58 inches wide by 17 inches front to back by 27 inches clearance height, offering lots of storage space below the nice functional work surface. The old metal hardware is beautiful though two of the pulls are off and in a drawer as noted above with repairs to their backplates needed. The three beveled mirors have only minor pitting and are clear and intact. My multiple pictures are included to assist in accurate representation on the sideboard. This delightful buffet was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh and I believe it to be a late 19th to early 20th century English or Scottish piece and would have been considered an expensive high quality piece of furniture even in it's day. This sideboard is in wonderful gently used condition and an absolutely fun decorative find. Ready for use in your home or place of business today.
