The removable top gallery is completely intact and exudes elegance with its lovely incised carved floral carvings. Next. No makers marks but there are 3 initials on the base that read CRD in a green ink mark. This is a squatty thick porcelain with a red floral design that has a wide metal band of brass with a working clasp on the front. No cracks or chips on the porcelain but the single rear hinge on the back is quite loose and the horizontal pin that fits in the hinge slides out and would likely need replacement/repair. I could not find any makers marks. But there are 3 initials on the base signed CRD that may be the artists signature/initials. This jar has a wide band of metal on the center band where the lid and body join together. The clasp is in working order. The single rear hinge is quite loose and the small metal horizontal pin the fits inside the hinge frame is loose and slides out. That hinge may need replacement/repair please see pictures. This is a SCREAMING Art Deco vanity box in good but gently loved condition. The top of the box with the reverse painted image is in very good shape and is just an uber cool silhouette pic of a woman dancing. The inside of the box has been painted gold which is still in good shape. The mirror has no chips or cracks but does have some hazing in places. The outside of the box was also covered with gold paint which is still in pretty good condition considering it's age but there are some worn spots. I took care to photograph every side of the box so you could see these places where the paint is a bit worn. Personally. I love that look but some people like minty perfection in their antiques. Victorian Milk Glass Covered Dresser Jar Hand Painted Dithridge
Victorian era dresser jar with cover. I believe this is from the Dithridge factory and the pattern is"Fernery. Milk glass. Molded with relief swirls. Gilt and handpainted flowers have worn down with age. No cracks or chips visible on the exterior. On the inner rim of the cover, there is some roughness and a few flea-bite chips. The number 5 is molded into the bottom of the cover and the bottom of the jar. 3 1/2" diameter x 2 3/4" high. Nice little vintage collectible to add to a dresser set. Hand Painted Nippon Dresser Tray. Late 1800s. Maple Leaf Mark NICE!
First let me say that I'm not sure if it is a dresser tray. That's just what I'm calling it. You may know better than I would as I'm not an expert in this sort of thing. Secondly. This is the real deal! Not a fake. This mark is authentic. The fakes are 1/2" tall. The real marks are 1/4" tall. See pictures) Now on to condition. There are no cracks. Chips or repairs of any kind to the piece. The handles are is great condition. There is some gold loss to the piece as seen in the pictures. Contained mainly to the handles. But some around the top edge as well. Beautiful flower design painted all around the inside while the outside is plain white. All of the gold on the piece is raised and you can feel it when you run your fingers over it. The glaze on the piece is in remarkable condition with only very light ware. This Auction is for a hand painted European Dresser Set which consists of a Dresser Tray(maker's name can't be read) Covered Powder Jar(M.Z. Austria) Uncovered Jar(C& E Carstens, Germany) and a pair of Candlesticks(O. E. G. Royal Austria) that are Circa 1899-1916. The tray is unsigned but all other pieces are signed A.M. Coveney. I assume A.M. Coveney also decorated the tray for the painting. Colors and finish are the same on all pieces. Tray measures 7-7/8" X 10-1/8" The covered Power Jar is about 3" tall and 3-1/4" wide. The Candlesticks are 4-3/8" tall and have an opening of 7/8" to hold the Candlesticks while the uncovered jar is 2-3/8" tall and 3-1/4" wide. There is wear to the gold as noted in my photographs. It is 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" including handles) x 1" high. It has a delicate wild rose design with a gold band edge and gold handles. Oh so gorgeous. Cut glass vintage Czechoslovakian hand painted dresser box. Cut finial on lid and cut panels on base. Bottom and edges are cut and polished. Darling hand painted flowers and bows decorated the lid. There is also gold gilt trim around the lid. Base top and bottom, although there is some wear to the gilt. Acid etched on the base CZECHOSLOVAKIA. Measures 4 1/2" round x 4" tall to top of finial. Only flaw I see except for the gilt trim is a ding on the lower base shown in close up photos. Antique Capodimonte Hand Painted Hinged Porcelain Footed Trinket Box w/ Gold Trim Marked on bottom- N" with the Royal Crown on top If there is no bid in this item in the first 24 hours we reserve the right to end the auction. This trinket box measures approx 3 3/4" tall and is 5" wide and 4 1/2" deep(including knob and hinge) It is in great shape. It is marked with the Capodimonte"N" and has the Royal Crown on top. All in blue, although it is faint, it can still be seen. Pics are harder to see it than in real. Last two are of the mark. Research tells us from the mark. That this could have been made sometime between the 1850's and 1890's, but we are not experts, so we will have to leave that up to you to decide. There are no cracks on this peice. But there is crazing. Mostly seen on the outside bottom ... moreand starting to be seen on the inside bottom. There is a flaked chip on the top edge inside the rim on the right side. This cannot be seen from the outside when closed. The chip measures approx 1/4" long x 3/8" wide. I do not see any cracks steming from this chip. The bronze or brass trim with the hinge and knob looks to have the original grout and is on nice and tight. The hinge is nice and solid. Not all loose and wiggly. When closed it grips tight and stays closed. There is some wear to the finish of the trim and has some nice patina that comes with age. There is some wear to the gold gilt. Mostly on the lid. I can see a couple small scratches on the paint, but you really have to be looking for it. All in all the condition is excellent for its age! The scenes are beautiful! The lid has two cherubs right above the knob and they have some flowers with them. The top of the lid has some beautiful spotted horses with riders. And a man standing next to a tree. The front looks like some villagers chatting amongst themselves. There are two signs on either end of the scene, which could be a village meeting. Upcycled Chalk Painted Distress Look 2 Drawer Dresser
Upcycled Chalk Painted Distress Look 2 Drawer Dresser This is an upcycled 2 drawer dresser that has been painted with chalk paint in a distress look style. The dresser is all wood. It originally was ready to be thrown out. The top of the dresser had at least 10 or more coats of varnish that was bubbled. Chipped, and peeling. I stripped off all the varnish and sanded the top. I also sanded various areas of the dresser that were either uneven. Chipped, or had peeling varnish. The hardware is brass. And I removed it before painting the entire piece. Next I painted the entire piece with 3 coats of chalk paint. The color is a grayish-white. Once the paint was dry. I then dry-brushed the piece with a brownish-purple chalk paint to make the piece look weathered and worn. The entire dresser has been coated with 3 coats of water base satin finish ... morepolyurethane to protect the finish. Water based polyurethane was used to keep the coating from yellowing. Yet give a strong layer of protection to the paint. This dresser has one shallow drawer at the top. The other draw looks like"two" drawers. But is one deep drawer. This would make an excellent bedside dresser or for use in a bathroom to hold make-up in the top drawer and towels in the lower drawer. The dresser measures: 25" high x 24" wide x 16" deep. This is a lovely Victorian style milk glass decanter. It is embossed and handpainted. I've tried to show pictures from every angle. It also has the stopper. Would make a lovely dresser decanter. It measures 11" including the stopper and the base is 6" at widest point. It is in very good condition. I do not see any chips or cracks. The fading of the paint color seems to be natural. Magnificent Painted Pine Victorian Cottage Dresser with Mirror and Carved Finial
We don't list a lot of furniture on eBay. So I'm not sure where to start with this absolutely splendid painted pine dresser, with its fine craftsmanship, folk art graining and floral painting. It is certainly one of the finest examples of 19th century cottage furniture that we've ever seen, and the removable finial on the top is an exquisite detail of fine workmanship. So let's give you some measurements. First. From the floor to the tip of the finial is about 87" The finial can actually be flipped over if 87" is too tall for your ceiling, but it looks best in the position shown. Second, it is about 44" wide and 17" deep, and each of the side pieces is 12" wide, so the flat surface under the mirror in the middle is about 20" And the mirror itself- which is not beveled glass. By the way- is about ... more16½" x 29½" The matching- and presumably original- drawer pulls have tear-drop handles and decorative brass bases. I've tried to show details in the close-ups. Including some of the worst spots of wear, which are particularly noticeable on the horizontal surfaces. The room that it's in right now has a sloping floor. Which explains why we have wooden blocks under the front feet. If you have a level floor, it should stand level. The drawers also move freely, although I can't guarantee how well they'd work in a really humid climate. Because we don't want to get involved in crating this item for shipping. We are advertising it as"local pickup only" and we are in Cornish, Maine. However, if you really want it shipped to distant parts, then e-mail us and we'll see what we can negotiate. Based on weight and dimensions, we know that the major commercial shipping companies will charge an arm and a leg(at least) but if you want to do your own research, let us know what you find.
