Features hand painted violets, creamy white background with light blue bands topped with delicate gold accents. Gold trim. Artist signed. Tray measures 10 3/4" long. It is marked MZ Austria on bottom with an impressed 1128. Mark used by Moritz Zdekauer- Altrohlau Porcelain Factory- Bohemia. Austria and dates between 1891 and 1917. The powder jar stands 3 1/4" tall to top of knob and measures just under 4 1/4" across. The receiver also measures just under 4 1/4" across. They are marked UNO"Favorite" Bavaria. The mark was used by the Hutschenreuther company in Bavaria. Germany. The mark was used for whiteware pieces intended for export ... moreto America. The Stouffer decorating studio used whiteware with this backstamp, but these pieces do not have a Stouffer decorating mark. I find two things to point out on receiver. There is a small"bruise" along center opening edge. This looks like a spot or flake of missing glaze. It is nearly flush with surface. To the left of this spot. There is a 1" glaze hairline that can only be seen when lid is tilted in certain angles. It does not show up in photos. Otherwise. No chips, cracks or glaze crazing found. There is a little wear to gold trim along rim edges and very tip of knob on lid of powder jar. I have taken several photos and these provide additional description. For U.S. addresses. Magnificent Grained & Hand Painted Pine Victorian Cottage Dresser or Dry Sink
We don't list a lot of furniture on eBay. So I'm not sure where to start with this absolutely splendid painted pine dresser, with its fine craftsmanship, and its folk art hand painted graining and decoration. It is designed like a dry sink, with a two-door cabinet space at the bottom and a single drawer on top, possibly more of a Victorian bathroom item than a standard dresser or chest of drawers. So let's give you some measurements. First. From the floor to the top is about 28½" and the top itself- which has ogee edges on the front and both sides- is about 30" x 15" The two drawer pulls are carved wood. And the door handle is turned wood. We don't have the key for it, we've always let gravity and friction hold the right side door shut. Most of the painted surfaces are still in very good condition, ... morewith a few scratches here and there, but the top has some stains, possibly water related, and I've never tried to remove them, I've always had a scarf or runner on it anyway. The top does not extand all the way to the back, leaving a narrow ledge that might at one time have held a mirror or backsplash board. Because we don't want to get involved in crating this item for shipping. We are advertising it as"local pickup only" and we are in Cornish, Maine. I call this piece" Treasure Chest Dresser" This piece would make a great conversation piece. Can be used as a dresser. Table, etc. I painted this heavy, solid wood, vintage dresser using colors in the Emerald Green family. I used one of my favorite painting techniques using layers of different colors then sanding to bring out the colors. The bottom is decorated with real Cockel shells that I painted a bronze color. I used scallop shells for the center and added the octopus that help inspired me to do this dresser. The handles are also real Cockel shells. I lined the drawers and doors with paper that looks like an old world map and added some charms to the inside drawers. This is one of my favorite pieces for sure. Very old and original all in tack with drawers working no damage in base was going to restore but decided to leave original. Glass set is finished with an ornate gold on the top called a"rotten acid" finish, further enhanced with hand enameled flowers. This is a wonderful vintage art deco 5 piece dresser set signed Tuskeloid. It consists of a hand held mirror. A dresser jar with cover, a hair jar, a hairbrush with a handle and and elongated hair brush. All of the pieces have a beautiful painted design- a flower basket with lots of embellishment. I believe the brushes are horsehair brushes. The 2 jars and the elongated brush are in excellent condition. The hand held brush has a few gaps in the paint that edges the shape of the brush. The mirror face is great; the back has a ring shaped stain on it and the paint that edges its shape is mostly rubbed off. For its age, it really is in amazing condition. This fantastic Hand Painted Wave Crest hinged box is decorated with lovely pink flowers and designed with raised enamel accents by the C.F. Monroe Company. I was informed thru research that this design is a swirl pattern known as the"Helmschmied Swirl" The original brass closure is in excellent condition and clasp snugly to close. This is information I have gathered: Wave Crest is an antique glass line produced by the C.F. Monroe Company of Meriden. Connecticut around 1892. One of the most important names associated with the company is Carl V. Helmschmied, who has a very popular glass blank named for him called the Helmschmied swirl. The C.F. Monroe Company offered a broad array of antique glass, some with silver plate, brass and sterling mountings; as well as other basic opal white antique glass lines like Nakara and Kelva This ... moreparticular box is 6" Tall from Top of Box to Bottom of Feet. 6 1/2" Wide with a 6" opening. Pink Florals. Silk lining is missing and there is patina on the metal. There is a greenish discoloration as shown in photos. I have not attempted to clean this piece at all. Will leave to the professional. I bought this piece from an Estate as authentic. But will not vouch for it authenticity. I have not had it appraised. Other than patina, discoloration on the bottom and the greenish discoloration in the glass, this piece has no chips or breakage. Very good condition. This piece does need cleaning. Antique T&V Limoges France Hand Painted Flower Motif Covered Dresser Powder Jar
I received these from an estate. You are bidding on a Antique T&V Limoges France Hand Painted Flower Motif Covered Dresser Powder Jar. This jar is hand painted beautifully with a purple flower motif. It is in overall great condition with no cracks or chips. The inside of the jar does have a very very very tiny chip and a bit of extra paint. But you can hardly see the chip unless feeling/really looking for it and the extra paint is minimal and only on the inside lid[see pictures of lid] This limoges is beautiful and would make a fantastic decor piece in any home. The Limoges is approximately 5 inches in diameter from end to end with lid on. With the lid on it is a little over 2.5 inches tall. Hope that helps. It comes from a smoke free home. GORGEOUS! Victorian Era Jewelry/Dresser/Vanity Box with Beautiful hand painted Decoration all the way around! It looks like some decal may have been used in combination with hand painted work more so on the front then on the top. My Opinion) There are a few spots where part of the covering is pulling up that should not be hard to repair. I just wanted to leave the choice to the new owner how& if they wanted to make any kind of repair to this Exceptional piece. There are also a few spots on the inside top lid where some of the pink material lining is pulling away, again should not be a hard fix but I will also leave that up to the new owner. The box looks to have a wood base(Smells a bit like cedar) with a thick type of paper covering the scene& decoration is on. The Ornate decoration travels all the way around the box. The top lid ... moreopens to the main compartment& in the center looks to be where a jar of powder or maybe a perfume bottle would sit. Around it small vanity items or jewelry could be placed. The item looks to be hand painted with gold-leaf and decorated with very detailed colorful flowers on top and front. The box was made in Italy. Signed and numbered by the artist. I am unsure of the age of the box but it was a gift to our family in about the mid 60's. There is some normal vintage use wear and there is a small chip on the inside of the cover.
