Very old and original all in tack with drawers working no damage in base was going to restore but decided to leave original. Vintage Hand Painted Opaline Vanity Dresser Set Perfumes Trinket Box N/R
This auction is for a vintage blown glass white opaline dresser or vanity set that consists of two stoppered scent or perfume bottles and a matching covered trinket or puff box. The set is hand painted with enameled flowers and leaves and has gold trim. The two perfumes have ground stoppers. Each of which is numbered to match its bottle. One bottle and stopper has'90' on the bottom of the bottle and on the end of the stopper, the other bottle has the number'63' Usually this is done on higher end items. Since this is blown glass, one perfume is slightly larger than the other. The covered jar or box stands about 5 inches high at the top of the hollow& blown finial and is 3 1/4 inches across the opening. It is in very good condition, with no issues. The perfumes are 6 1/2 inches tall at the top of the stopper and the other ... moreone is 6 1/4 inches tall. Both are in very good condition, with only a small flat chip near the end of the stopper of one(see photo) and the other stopper has very small chips near the part of the stopper that is flush with the bottle when put in. They are very hard to notice and I am mentioning for accuracy. The enamel paint is all present, and there is only the slightest wear to the gold trim, it is 99 percent all there. 100+ year old hand painted artist signed dated Limoges dresser set E. Ten Eyck
This is a really nice looking 100+ year old hand painted artist signed and dated Limoges et al Ladies dresser set. There is a large tray. 8 1/2" by 11 1/4" a pair of footed candleholders, a 2 piece hair receiver, an oval box with lid, and a footed bowl/dish/whatever with lid. Not sure what the flowers are, Pansies maybe? All are signed E. Ten Eyck and dated either 1910 or 1911. The round footed bowl is marked Vienna Austria as is one of the candle holders. The inside of the lid for the oval dish says FARNCE obviously mispelled but factory applied. The hair receiver is marked T&V Limoges France and the tray has an impressed script"L" The only realistic apology I could find on this lot is a small chip on the lid of the round footed dish. I call this piece" Treasure Chest Dresser" This piece would make a great conversation piece. Can be used as a dresser. Table, etc. I painted this heavy, solid wood, vintage dresser using colors in the Emerald Green family. FOR SOME REASON THE PICTURES COME OUT BLUE. IT IS EMERALD GREEN. MUST COME SEE. I used one of my favorite painting techniques using layers of different colors then sanding to bring out the colors. The bottom is decorated with real Cockel shells that I painted a bronze color. I used scallop shells for the center and added the octopus that help inspired me to do this dresser. The handles are also real Cockel shells. I lined the drawers and doors with paper that looks like an old world map and added some charms to the inside drawers. This is one of my favorite pieces for sure. The picture of the Hair Container looks like it has a dark line or crack in it IT DOES NOT have a scratch or crack I can't figure out what is doing it unless my camera has a hair in it or something. The colors are vibrant and show only very minimal wear on the feet and bottoms. The Gold accents are raised and have little dots that help make up the pattern. The floral pattern is beautiful. Please use the enlarger to see the beauty of the pattern. The dimensions of the set pieces consist of: The Tray 10 1/4" x 7 1/4" and 1/2" high edge. Hello- This is a gorgeous Morimura(Noritake) Dresser Tray w/ Hat Pin Holder or Vase- a versatile set! The pottery backstamps indicate that these are from around 1911-1921. There are no chips or cracks. With some minor blemish's in the porcelain, which are common with these hand made, antique pieces. The tray measures approx. 11" x 8" the hat pin holder or vase stands approx. 4 3/4" high on 3" base. Both are lovely, and are sure to make a nice addition to your home. Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely antique hand painted Limoges dresser tray. Made by the Charles Field Haviland company when he was associated with Gerard. Dufraisseix& Morel, it sports the makersmark that was used between 1891-1900. It was hand painted with Fuchia colored roses and buds with leaves on a pastel blue. Yellow and peach background, just lovely! The rim is trimmed in gold with some wear from age which is normal. It is signed on the back by the artist. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks! It measures 10.75 inches long from side to side and 7.5 inches wide up and down. Here's a very interesting piece of vintage Japanese decor for you. This is a beautifully painted dresser box measuring approximately 7.5" square by 1.5" tall(about the size of a cigar box) The box has been hand painted with a black laquer base and numerous beutiful birds sitting on telephone wires and with a few in flight. The box is made of wood with a red painted interior. The box is marked on the inside lid with the names"Anna L. Conrey" and"Joseph LeRoy Medley" I know that this came from the"Conley" estate and that it was brought back from Japan buy served in Japan immediately following WW2. I would assume ... morethat it dates from the 1930's or earlier. It looks similar to Meiji period boxes that I've seen(1868-1912) The only official mark is a tag on the bottom which has the numbers"445/104" The box is in very good to excellent condition. It does show some slight blemishes and crackling on the paint. But nothing that seriously detracts from the looks or function. Personally, I think this age adds an attractive patina to the piece. Certainly a very interesting and unique addition to any collection. A great item for any student or teacher of history. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
