There is gilding down the sides on each corner. There is also gilding along the top edge. The painting is done in relief where they rise from the surface of the jar. I am not sure of the maker but based on the style it dates to the late 19 th century or very early 20 th century. Welcome to Antiques& Moore! This listing is for a gorgeous Stevens& Williams Cranberry Art Glass miniature threaded dresser box with Sterling Silver top. C. 1900. This wonderful little dresser box features a Sterling Silver top with an embossed floral and scroll design in high relief with small center cartouche for monogram. The jar has clear glass with a cranberry glass applied threading on the exterior. This technique of applying a thin layer of contrasting glass as decoration on an item was originally created by Frederick Carder(of Steuben glass fame) when he worked at Stevens& Williams in England prior to coming to the U.S. Measures 1 1/2" high and 1 3/4" in diameter. This lovely dresser jar is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs to the body, although there are a couple of tiny nicks in the threading ... moreand very minor surface wear to the base(see photos) no other noted flaws. The top is hallmarked for Birmingham and Sterling with"L&S" for the maker and date letter for 1900-1901. The painting of soft pink tea roses in bloom over splashes of pastel yellow. Green, blue and pink are nicely done by an amateur artist. Mark ~ geen underglaze factory mark of P L Limoges(La Porcelaine Limousine)used from 1906 to 1938. Condition ~ is good to excellent. This is a very clean piece. The painting is still vibrant and full. This two piece jar is in a style where the lid sits snugly on top of the rim of the jar. The artist successfully joined the two pieces together by aligning the painting. Please note; on the jars rim are a couple of small chips. This is in really bad shape. Structurally it is good. Missing a piece at the bottom. I believe it is called a kick plate. The unit itself is in good shape structurally. It has really bad scuffs and dings here and there. Has outer veneer, and in missing big sections on both sides. I saved this from the trash, thinking, one mans junk is another mans treasure. This is available for PICK UP ONLY. Also, please note that it is located in the 27350 zip code, I found this in a rental property that I manage, so anyhow I hope the bid goes wild. I sold a peice similar to this that sold for just under a thousand once it was restored. I do not have the time to restore this peice. VTG 3 pc 50'S Black Art Deco Wood Bedroom Furniture Set Chest Dresser Mirror I remember these pieces in my aunt's bedroom many years ago. Pretty sure they are from the 50's. She always had"modern" taste back then. No idea who the manufacturer was but back of the dresser reads"WMB 8862 8864 T. DR. and then"90 Blue Mink" Pieces are heavy and seem to be made of oak. The grain is visible with a shiny black stain on it. Which sort of gives it a blackish, blue color. The handles are gold metal, but not sure what kind. There is a routing line around several drawers that are filled in with a gold finish. It has been used so there are some nicks here and there, but she was pretty careful with her things because at that time they needed to last a life time. There is s faint line around the top where she must have ... morehad some sort of cover over it to protect the top. Both pieces are slightly more narrow at the top and then get wider at the bottom-pretty neat with interesting lines, modern lines. Legs are attached at an angle. Drawers are dovetailed and made of what I think is oak. Description: Chest-45" tall; 20" deep; 40" long with 5 drawers- Note on the back there is a surface nick on one leg. But does not impact the piece. Dresser-32" tall; 60" long; 21" deep with 3 sets of 3 drawers(the 3 large ones are in the center) Mirror attaches to the top with screws in the back. Mirror-50 1/2" long by 33" tall(including 1 3/4" wood piece at bottom) Beveled(some clouding& some slight silver loss typical for it's age) Attached to wood which then sits on top of the dresser and bolted to 3 pieces of wood in the back. PLEASE NOTE THE GOLD TOPS AT THE TOP OF THE MIRROR. I have kept these pieces for several years hoping to use them. But after retiring find that I am definitely downsizing. A triangular lid sits on a quadruple rimmed body that balances back to a triangle and a base that fans out in yet again a triangle pattern. One of the prettiest painted pieces I've come across is this vintage/antique circa 1920's-1930's with"Floral" decoration of"Painted Urn" Chest has 2 doors& 3 drawers behind doors and 2 generous sized drawers. Below approx. 49.5" H x 38" W x 23" D. Very good vintage condition. Bottom drawer has rings on pulls missing but porcelain painted pieces intact. Replacement rings should be easily replaced. Chest has original antique castors on legs for easy cleaning and moving. Delivery to NY C available curbside for $125. You need to be able to receive the item when driver arrives.
