Regal wide beveled mirror has a boldly carved crest with the original attached"dressing light" adorning the top with the original etched shade intact.The tall cheval mirror is framed in solid oak and pivots front to back allow adjustment for viewing. On either side of the mirror are the tall case pieces that each feature bold carved galleries matching the carved crest above the mirror,four storage drawers graduated in depth with dove-tailed ends and what we believe to be period brass Victorian pulls that may or may-not be original to this piece.Directly below the mirror is the drop center portion with a larger single drawer below. Here is an absolutely terrific find. Recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh and in very nice condition for an early 20th century quartersawn oak cupboard, with beautiful carvings including detailed leaves on the banquet drawers and upon the doors and mirror back top. This lovely sideboard has a nice, large serving area top surface, measuring 59 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches front to back( 24 inches deep from the front of banquet drawers) with a surface height of 38 1/2 inches tall. These are the overall dimension of the bottom section of the sideboard, which travels easily in two pieces. The top mirror back section measures 40 inches tall by 55 inches wide and 11 inches deep, front to back, at it's deepest point, allowing both top and bottom to be easily blanket wrapped for safe and easy shipping. The mirror back top features ... morecolumns, candle stands on each side 12 inches above the top surface with beveled mirrors behind to maximize reflection. These mirrors measure 15 1/2 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide and are clear with beveled edges as is the larger central mirror measuring 27 1/4 inches tall and 19 1/2 inches wide. The cabinet has 2 drawers. One on either side below the top surface, each 14 1/4 inches by 14 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches deep, and two delightfully carved banquet drawers each 18 inches wide by 16 inches front to back by 3 1/4 inches deep. Below the drawers are cabinets with beautifully carved doors. The two side cabinets measure 18 inches wide by 16 inches deep and 24 inches tall. This is an early solid oak shaving mirror. It still has it's original shellac finish which looks to be in good shape for it's age. It has a lower compartment to hold your shaving items like a straight razor. Shaving soap, and brush. Could also have been used to hold toothbrush items. This shaving mirror has the original old glass as it has a few waves in it. It's held in with an old backboard and nails. This frame is solidly built. I am not sure whether I would classify it as Victorian or Edwardian in style; it features dark stained oak frames with each section backed by a floral pattern textured celluloid backing. Each panel is 11 3/8 inches by 9 3/8 inches plus metal hinges and round ball rests. It has two eye loops at the top that probably originally had a chain to facilitate hanging the mirror. Each mirror is beveled edge type. Everything appears to be original. Mirrors have some streaking and spotting from age. Though less than one would expect from a mirror that is probably 100 years old. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. The metal"eyes" have surface rust but the hinges and other metal parts are clean, if dulled, in appearance. The frames are still their original dark stained ... morecolor and have some dust in the crevices and a few speckles of white(paint spatters? though careful cleaning will remedy those flaws. The textured celluloid floral backs to the mirror panels appear to be in mint condition. They are ivory colored with dark brown stain in recesses. Each is held in place with small moulding strips that have been nailed into the frame. Very well-made and has stood the test of time. Please examine the photos. This piece would be a fabulous accent in a boudoir or. Really, any room. Could be displayed with mirrors exposed or as a triangular piece with the floral backings exposed. Antique Vintage OAK PICTURE / MIRROR FRAME large 36" X 23" BEVELED inner edge
This wonderful early OAK picture or mirror frame measures 36" X 23 1/2" on the outside. The frame is 3/4" thick. 3 1/2" wide leaving an inner measurement of 29 1/2" X 16 1/2" The inner edge is beveled and it weighs 8 lbs. As seen in the picture it is strung to hang either verticle or horizontal. I believe it to be from the 1920's. It is just a great old frame. This is an antique spool thread advertising display with a mirror. Across top of frame: MERRICK'S SPOOL COTTON; and remnants of an eagle in the center. It measures 35 1/2" long x 25" high x 4 1/2" deep. The mirror is 29 1/2" x 6 1/2" and has some scratches and some black spots. It is backed by wood. I don't know how this piece originally worked. I think it hung as an independent piece. But maybe was part of something larger or a base piece that this hung over. There are slots on the inside of the frame work(see photo) maybe had sliding wires with spools on them, one wooden rod was there when I got it from my family's estate, and I added one so I could use it as a towel holder. Antique Carved Oak Victorian Louis F. Nonnast Coat Rack w/ Oval Beveled Mirror
This is an absolutely stunning rare Victorian wall mirror that doubles as a coat or hat rack. It is in beautiful condition; the wood and finish are excellent; the wood is oak and it is finished in a rich red mahogany color. The mirror is beveled and in very good condition with some minor light spotting in areas. The coat hooks seem to be cast iron with a gold finish and are all excellent. There are beautifully carved accents all the way around the mirror. There is one small wooden scroll applique missing behind the lower right hook. It's not obvious at all; I did notice it when closely inspected. But the coat hook hides it well and the piece that is missing was very small. There is a stamp on the back that says Lous F. Nonnast, Chicago ILL, and it is numbered 56. There is a strong wire attached to two screw eyes on the back for wall hanging. ... moreThe bolts that hold the hooks on stick out a little on the back and might need to be cut or capped to ensure that they do not damage your wall when hung. I believe this to be unsigned Larkin, this mirror is in excellent condition, it has been refinished recently, the mirror does show some normal age wear. Antique Vintage Vtg. Dresser Bureau Vanity Beveled Mirror Serpentine Tiger Oak ~
Beautiful Turn of the Century American Oak Dresser Up for your consideration: A wonderful example of fine artistry by American Furniture Makers. This beautiful dresser was purchased at an old estate auction and although a lot of items came from Germany. This belonged to a couple of sisters who moved here from Germany. I am pretty sure they probably purchased it here in America rather than bringing it with them. It does resemble typical American Oak Dressers of the time period- I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of the 1900-1920's. They were quite up in years and the dresser was quite old when they purchased it and I found an Old Catholic Confirmation Certificate(in English) dated 1910 rolled up with what appeared to be an old Marriage License(in German) The lovely Beveled Mirror is in Excellent condition for its age and is framed ... morein a the beautiful Victorian tradition. Beveled Mirror attached well and swivels up or down. The Drawers feature the Grand Serpentine style. The drawers all lock and of course the original skeleton key is included. I am not sure however if the dresser’s knobs are original or not. The Dresser features the rare and beautiful Tiger Oak Construction. Quarter Sawn) The drawers are all in pretty fine condition. One drawer seems to want to go in further than it should but could be easily remedied. There is also a chip in the front edge of one of the left drawers. The Dovetail construction does a fine job illustrating the dresser’s age as they appear to be have been handmade. Please examine photos carefully. I do offer shipping by freight at buyers expense. Size: 31 1/2 inches by 13 inches by 9 15/16 inches(W x H x D) Colors: golden oak. Silver(with superb patina) and copper(with superb patina) Age: unknown; however. I speculate during the 1940s + 10 years. Condition: very good; however. The mirror reveals randomly located slight deterioration throughout the reflective backing and, thus, the new owner may desire re-silvering(Note: I personally would not alter this classic-looking item which displays a lot of“character” Design Features: six alloy hooks for coats. Please Note Local Pick Up by July 7 Offered is an Oak Armoire from early in the last century. It has a drawer at the bottom and the mirror is original. It shows the normal wear and tear of a piece this old. Approximate Measurements 77" Tall 39" Wide 16.5" Deep My beloved Great Aunt Ruth passed at 102. Aunt Ruth lived each year to the fullest!
