This gorgeous early to mid-twentieth century oak sideboard was imported from the Uk through Edinburgh. Scotland and offers a lovely combination of carving, beaded inlay around the mirror, original hardware and lovely columns accenting the mirror. This large sideboard stands 65 inches tall with the mirror back in place and the beveled mirror itself measures 40 long by 12 inches tall. Circa date, 1940, Condition, Good, Wood, Oak, Dimensions, Width- 47.5" Depth- 17.5" Height- 36" to counter. 46.5" overall. Price includes free shipping! Made in England, Circa 1940, Oak, Beveled mirror, Locking cabinets, Hand cut dovetails, Brass pulls, Minor wear throughout, Sturdy. Good overall condition, This quaint English oak sideboard was made around 1940 and is the perfect size for a variety of places in the home. The shaped back splash has a beveled mirror and the cabinet doors are decorated with carvings in the outside upper corners. The drawers slide in and out easily and the cabinet doors both lock with included key. The inside of the right drawer used to have ... moregreen felt that was partially removed. Leaving the inside of the drawer with a green tinge(see picture) There is normal wear throughout in the form of tiny dings here and there, but overall this buffet is in very good condition and quite sturdy. The drawers are made with hand cut dovetails which gives you an idea of the high level of craftsmanship that went into this sideboard. The sideboard is 36" tall to the counter and 46.5" tall to the top of the back splash. Plenty of storage space in this sideboard! The cabinet doors both lock. These carved decorations adorn the outside upper corners of the doors. Each drawer has two solid brass pulls. The drawers are made with hand cut dovetails. The right drawer used to have green felt inside. Now it has a green tinge from where that felt was removed. The counter top has minor wear in the form of tiny dings or stains. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK / CHESTNUT FRAME w/ BEVEL GLASS MIRROR - GOOD CONDITION
ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK/ CHESTNUT FRAME WITH BEVELED MIRROR IN GOOD CONDITION. Frame is circa 1880’s. Outer measurements of the frame are approximately 24 ½ inches by 28 ½ inches. With an opening for the mirror of 16 inches by 20 inches. Frame contains a bevel beveled glass mirror. With about 1 inch of the bevel visible on all 4 sides. The mirror glass is in good condition– maybe not the original one in this frame– probably replaced many years ago. The oak/ chestnut was refinished many years ago– if you see photo of back you can see the dark original color. The finish is good– a nice dark honey color. Which shows off the graining of the wood. There are a few small chips in the oak– see my pictures. There is a narrow line– crack in one of the inside sections of the frame– about 3 inches long. And you probably won’t even find it. There ... moreis a narrow row of gesso carving on all 4 sides. The original gold tone liner is around the opening for the mirror. But there are some chips in it that were covered over when the gold was retouched. Looks good on the wall, but up close you can see the touch-ups on the gold. See my pictures. Frame with contents weighs just about 12 pounds before any packing materials. Old cardboard backing for the mirror. Frame is good and solid– corners are tight. No wiggle. ALL SALES FINAL. This is a genuine vintage sold oak shaving medicine cabinet. It measures 20 1/4" high. 16 1/4" wide and 6 1/2" deep and stamped 40 on the back. It is in excellent shape with minimal wear and no cracks or dents. It is finished on the top and bottom so it looks good from above and below and it could be be turned upside down if you would rather the door swing to go the other way. The shelf unit inside is removable if you want to turn it around. It has a lock with mechanism but I do not have the key. Looks like its one of those little L shaped keys which can be found. Antique Oak Sideboard Buffet with Beveled Glass & Mirror Gallery
This well-loved and well-tended piece has been with us for decades; we are offering as part of downsizing for retirement. It is a visually stunning and intricate piece. But has seen use and wear which is apparent to the critical eye(see pictures for the most major flaws) This is a hand-carved two-part sideboard(gallery and base) Circa 1870. A lion-motif pediment was added to the top of the mirrored gallery. Barley-twist column supports flank a 3-section vitrine of beveled mirror and glass. The mirror and glass is original and in excellent condition. Underneath the gallery is an open area with double-turned column supports. The gallery is set upon a single base of carved oak possessing 3 rectangular drawers(the centermost is partitioned inside for holding silverware) and 3 paneled cabinet doors. Plus one long rectangular drawer along the base. ... moreThe drawers flanked by barley rope twist columns; the drawers themselves possess decorative carvings and possess their original brass bail handles with embossed heads in relief. All drawers and cabinets can be open/shut easily(pictures available upon request) Parts of the original brass fixtures have been lost from the cabinet doors and the joins between the gallery column supports and the base of the gallery have lost their original façade decoration and cracked slightly open. Maintaining the original finish requires applying lemon oil 1-2 times a year. Drawers slide smoothly provided the runners are rubbed 1-2 times a year with a bar of hard soap. Gallery Dimensions are 46” H(including pediment) x 57” W x 14” D. Base Dimensions are 37” H x 61” W x 25” D. Total Dimensions are 83” H(including pediment) x 61” W x 21.5” D.
