Crafted during the first years of the 19th Century. It has a wonderful black paint over another layer of reddish orange, probably also a layer over the original and currently unknown color. The back of the chair has a graceful bow, carefully grasping each through-tenoned splinted spindle before diving through the single solid plank pine seat. The seat is heavily patinated, with deep grooves and wear from decades of active use. The entire chair sits over four splayed bamboo carved legs, all four of which tenon through the plank seat before being secured with a splint, each held firmly and perfectly in place with a bamboo carved H-stretcher. This is a most charming chair, in excellent condition with wonderful patina and character throughout- the early painted surfaces are probably not the original layers, but seem to protect earlier layers beneath, these quite possibly the earliest surfaces. A wonderful find for those that are passionate about fine windsor chairs. Measurements: Seat 13.5" wide x 14.5" deep. The seat sits 16" from the ground and the back of the seat is 33.5" high. Condition Report: Paint worn throughout. Probably not the original surfaces. Deep groves and losses in the plank seat. Chips and abrasions throughout. One nail, appears to be modern, on side of chair stabalizing hoop back. Plank seat split with a butterfly joint securing seat from beneath and two screws locking it in place. Chair is structurally strong, but could possibly be too weak to use functionally as a chair. Please review the images in the slideshow for a full overview of condition.

The center below the mirror is adorned with a textured glass surface reflecting a pale blue colour. Its Art deco lines, adorned with a lovely stripy grain veneer in a golden shade are accented by silver tone openwork handles. Small drawers offer space for accessories or make-up and it can easily fit on a night stand, chest or work top making it an very useable and versatile piece. It is in excellent overall condition for its age with no major damage. There are some slight bubbles in the veneer in a couple of places. And one small chip has been filled on the middle drawer. The attachment between the mirror and the stand is slightly wobbly on the left hand side, but stable. The back of the central mirror has had some small repairs(fills, nails) and has a couple of chips, but this part is normally hidden from view. DIMENSIONS: The width with the mirrors open is 55.2 cm. I am selling my solid oak complete Michael Howard bedroom suite. Included are the following pieces: Headboard- two compartments with doors on either side and a lift up compartment behind the head of the bed. In the lift up compartment is a secret drawer that pulls out from one side. There is a light in the interior of the lift up compartment that turns on when door is opened. There is also a mirror there as well as a light that turns on with a switch. There are also two plugs and a telephone jack back there. Piers and bridge- There is a large pier on either side of the headboard. This consists of an upper cabinet with three shelves and a lift up hidden door above these cabinets. There is a shelf area below the cabinets and then a slide out shelf with a glass insert that can be removed for use as a lap table then two more drawers underneath ... morethat. Connecting the two piers is a triple mirror with three inset lights above the mirrors. This can be turned on by a dimmer knob that is behind the bed that allows for different levels of lighting which is super nice. Triple dresser- The dresser has nine drawers plus a secret slide out drawer inset into the top middle drawer. There is also a triple mirror on top- the side mirrors can swing into any position- flat. Angled in, etc. Chest- The chest has four drawers. It also has a flip up top that contains a felted interior with a mirror on the bottom of the top so when you open it you can see into the mirror while putting on your jewelry. There is also a side compartment for ties that has hooks on it- you press the side of the chest and the compartment pops open. This is a really super-duper nice solid oak bedroom set. Very Nice Antique Tiger Oak Dresser With Beveled Mirror For sale a beautiful antique oak dresser with beveled mirror and two smaller top drawers and two large drawers below. Solid oak top. Legs, mirror frame and drawer faces. Solid wood drawer interiors. I believe the pattern of the oak is what is called Tiger Oak because of the stripes. The drawers are able to lock with a key– NO Keys included. The mirror and frame detaches from the dresser for hauling if desired. Condition: Dresser In Good + Condition. Looks nice. The mirror has some normal small spotting from age but is all-in-all very nice. The inside of the dresser looks solid. There are some. What looks like, varnish runs on the top of the inside of the dresser and some gluing runs. Not sure of their origin. The dresser side panels appear to be oak plywood as would be normal. All the ... moreedges, front facings, dresser top and mirror are solid oak. The beveled mirror is backed with what looks like masonite. There are some metal pieces in the center that must have something to do with the drawers as a stop? These are all in fine condition but have caused some problems on the bottom of the large drawers. All the drawers are solid. The bottoms of the drawers are'one' solid piece of wood. The large drawer bottoms have warped over time most likely because of being from one solid piece of wood. One has a crack. One drawer is worse than the other but both are warped as seen in the pics. This has caused the metal pieces to wear grooves into the bottom of the large drawers. Whether these can be reshaped or not I don't know(It should be an easy replacement if so desired) They work fine but are grooved. Poplar drawers with dovetail joints required some attention to make them solid and functional again as well as four new turned bun feet. This auction is for the item listed and pictured. My wife and I bought this chiffonier from an antique store about 35 years ago. This was made by the INNIS. PEARCE& CO. in Rushville, Ind. A very unique antique. Tiger oak, hat box, claw feet, nice carving on the mirror base, serpentine front. Beveled glass mirror, and very ornate solid brass hardware. This is about 34" wide. 20" deep, dresser height 48 1/2" and with the mirror, 69 1/2" The casters have wood wheels. This has no broken parts and all of the drawers open and close easy. Beautiful antique oak Victorian commode or dresser with a top serpentine drawers and spacious cabinet space below. Overhanging molded top with a decorative carved backsplash. The back and sides of this piece are paneled and there are elegant brass pulls on the drawer and cabinet doors. Two cabriole shaped feet in the front and straight feet in the back end at simple casters. This classic piece most likely dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. This piece is in very good condition with only minimal wear consistent with age. No breaks or repairs. Please examine the pictures provided. The commode stands 34" tall and measures 33 3/4" wide and about 28" deep. Antique Museum Quality Quartersawn Oak Bedroom Set Armoire Matching Dresser Bed
This is a real beauty like nothing I have ever seen. The wood is in extremely good condition no bad spots on the outside considering it is over a hundred years old. Everything works good no stains. No real issues except maybe the mirrors are a little foggy and some of the back panel has been replaced on the dresser which is not a big deal. It was a real professional job There is a small hole in the inside of the armoire on the left top as shown in picture. Please ask question and you must come and pick them up or arrange delivery with a person I have here locally he enjoys traveling. Please ask questions. I just added a full size bed to the equation we repaired the foot board and it is ready to go with the set we do not have any rails but you can get metal rails that will make it a full size or a queen so I am throwing it in for the same ... moreprice what a deal!
