One of the chest has some checking in the finish that is very hard to see unless it is seen in the glare of bright light. Some people see the checking as akin to an antique. Henkel Harris has through the years offered to refinish their pieces that have checking and or cold cracking but the company closed last year and has since been reopened under new ownership so I do not know if they will continue to offer this service.

This is a SUPER NICE walnut five drawer chest made by Henredon. Circa'60 fine furniture. My pictures do not do this piece justice because it is absolutely beautiful! The handles have copper toned trim. I don't know the exact age. This is a rare piece to find in this condition. The top has two strips inlayed one on each side. This is a great 8 drawer Chest of drawers by Lane. This is from the Tuxedo Line#921. It is believed to be designed by Paul McCobb and was made during the time he worked for them. It is made from walnut with gorgeous bowtie rosewood inlays which are mimicked in the aluminum pulls. This is one of the most sought out designs by Lane. The piece does have some issues as seen in pics#5-9. The majority of which are on the top. Which is quite high, making them not very noticeable. As with most Lane pieces, this is very well made and is a pretty heavy piece. The serial number is 165010. Lane takes the date of manufacture and reverses it to come up with the serial number. Vtg Mid Century Modern Chest on Chest 6 Drawers Dustproof Brass Handles SHIP???
This is an absolutely gorgeous dresser. I believe the wood is Cherry but take a close look and you decide. It has dustproofing between the drawers- fine craftsmanship. It has lovely original brass handles. I have taken many photos but if you wish more please ask. This chest on chest measures approximately: 58 1/4" tall. 40" wide and 18" deep. Please see supersized photos. There are 6 drawers total. There are two smaller ones at the very top which are approx. 4 3/8" deep. Then one long drawer 4 3/8" deep and the bottom drawer of the top section is very deep(9" plus the two below the division are also both 9" deep. There are signs of wear consistent with age and use. Beautiful mid century modern walnut gentleman's chest from the Con-Tempo series by Harmony House. This very cool piece has sculptured lines as well as shape and style. On the top side of the chest is a pair of drawers with sunken lacquer bl. ack pulls with center cones on attractive smooth walnut faces. On the lower half of the left side of this gentleman's chest has 3 large architectural drawers with unique elongated raised linear pulls that open to expose plenty of storage. The top walnut plank is finished just off with beautiful grains as the rest of this Gentleman's chest is wrapped in a medium toned walnut structure. All raised on traditional tapering corner walnut legs. A great mid century modern piece perfect for that master bedroom or bachelors pad that needs plenty of storage with style.
