Eastlake Victorian Walnut Dresser With White Marble Top, Diamond Dust Mirror
This is a really nice old Eastlake Victorian dresser. It is in remarkably good condition. The drawers have the pegged scolloped rabbet joint very typical of the 1870's. The drawer bottoms are all original and in good condition. The top drawer which got a lot more use than the other drawers was worn on the bottom so its sides have been added onto to make them the proper size. The knobs have been replaced. But there is just one hole in the drawer indicating that the original pulls were single knobs. More pictures can be made available upon request for such things as I just described. This dresser is 98 inches tall to the top of the mirror. The dresser base is 26 inches tall to the top of the marble and it is 46 inches wide. The depth from front to back is 20-1/2 inches. this is an older antique that has been in my family for over 50 years. It is old bedroom dresser or chest of drawers with a marble center piece. The marble is in perfect condition. There is a wood damage as shown in the 5th picture on the corner. I replaced all the hardware about 20 years ago. I am guessing at the Oak wood type. I am not sure. Fresh from local Estate we a pleasure to offer you this beautiful high quality first half of 20th century inlaid and bronze mounted marble top French Commode. The inlay is pleasant. Featuring a bow ties and garland that breaks over 2 large drawers, bows placed behind the handles(hardware) Note the quality of the bronze, feet capped with terrific pedestal like mounts. The marble is dark gray, with"clouds" of lighter veining. Please see the photos of the back, and more importantly of the drawers and locks, so you can see the quality of the secondary wood and dovetailing. Drawers slide in and out like skates, no warping or any such issues. The locks are unusually placed pointing down, only on top two drawers, hence when the drawer is pulled out, the top of the front is all finished and you can't see the locks. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, carved and burled walnut marble top dresser with attached mirror frame and beveled mirror. Two piece construction. The case has three short drawers over two long drawers, with the original brass pulls. The drawer interiors are maple. Light burl walnut veneers across the drawers. The sides have a recessed panel. A finely mottled brown and white beveled marble slab is on top. The mirror frame is supported with a frame of deep carved classical cornice having acanthus, drapped swag, and serpentine ribbon. The mirror frame support measures 4'9" 57" tall by 3'7" 43" wide by 3" deep, the mirror glass 29" by 27-1/2" The dresser measures 3'8" 44" wide by 2'4" 28" tall by 20" deep. Excellent condition: original finish, walnut without chips ... moreor cracks, burl veneers without losses. Three drawers are with their locks(two of the three missing their brass escutcheons, no key. PAIR Antique Satinwood Bronze Mounted Marble Top FRENCH COMMODE Chests Dresser
Fresh from NYC we have a pleasure to offer you this beautiful high quality first half of 20th century PAIR of bronze mounted Satinwood marble top French Commodes. The best way to describe this pair would be the"mirror" siblings. Same exact shape, size and motif, only reversed wood colors(dark to light, light to dark) and different color marble. The inlay is pleasant. Featuring a bow ties and garland that breaks over 2 large drawers, bows placed behind the handles(hardware) Note the quality of the bronze, feet capped with terrific pedestal like mounts. The marbles are different, one is dark gray, with"clouds" of lighter veining, and other red with white veining. Please see the photos of the back, and more importantly of the drawers and locks, so you can see the quality of the secondary wood and dovetailing. Drawers slide ... morein and out like skates, no warping or any such issues. The locks are unusually placed pointing down, only on top two drawers, hence when the drawer is pulled out, the top of the front is all finished and you can't see the locks. Very cool feature. Both pieces were finished over in glossy French polish, no longer than 4-5 years ago, so the wood and colors are healthy and vivid. Condition good, minor use wear. Beautiful antique Victorian or Eastlake dresser vanity. Marble tops are ivory in color and in good shape. Original ebony drawer pulls. All 4 drawers pull nicely with unique dovetail work. There is also a secret bonus drawer at the bottom that goes unnoticed. The mirror has some silvering in it. Burl wood inlays throughout. Minor wear to be found in places. But nothing terrible. The wood looks to be chestnut, but I am not positive. Great well made piece that will last many more years to come. My apologies for the somewhat awkward photos. This piece is heavy to move on my own. And the lighting was not the best for taking pictures. I am assisting a friend in selling this piece. It has been in their family for a long time. 53611 ANTIQUE 1840s EMPIRE MAHOGANY MANS PETITE DRESSER W MARBLE TOP & MIRROR
A most unusual antique. Circa 1840's, Empire period flame mahogany veneered and solid mahogany man's petite dresser. Lifting up and back of the top exposes a gray veined white marble surround, the underside of lid with the original very wavy mirror. The case holds four drawers with butterflied flame mahogany veneer fronts, the drawer interiors in oak. The case is on casters. The dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 28" wide by 16" deep. Very good plus condition: damage is a horizontal crack to board and veneer across the top board of the lid. Both veneered sides have vertical shrinkage cracks. Includes all the locks and the key. The marble slabs are without chips, or stains. The right side marble piece has been broken in two and cemented back. The mirror is fine. The original finish has aged to almost an ebony color.
