It has been previously refinished in ... morea beautiful finish with a satin sheen color. I would date this from around the 1880s. I don’t like to always say this, but it resembles a piece from Horner although I don’t believe it to be made by Horner. It is certainly a high-end quality piece. It has an extra heavily 1.25 bevel edge mirror that swivels and is in good condition. The mirror is wrapped around by a solid brown mahogany frame with carvings all the way around, rope twist going up and the very top corners having angels carved in both sides. The base has a beautiful rose quartz bevel edge marble top. The miniature knobs on the base look like miniature doorknobs.

Antique Victorian Drop Center Marble Top Dresser w/ Pivot Mirror
A very cute little dresser brought up from Georgia to the Asheville NC area 20 years ago. Judging from the style and the candle shelves on either side. Late 19th Century. Features the original marble. Clean and unbroken, the original antique mirror, all of the original drawer pulls of figured brass, and the original casters. Original finish- has not been stripped. Stands about 80 inches high and 16 inches deep- it is a smallish piece and stands nice and shallow out from the wall- perfect for a small guest room or an accent to a large room. I'm not certain. But the wood is probably walnut. The five drawers all work just fine and have unusual'round peg dovetailing' construction(shown above in a detail shot) The hardware is ALL original EXCEPT that the bolts that originally held the pivoting mirror have been replaced by heavy screws. ... moreWhich doesn't affect the look of it too much(and they could be fairly inexpensively restored with something vintage) The mirror section is removable to facilitate moving. A very handsome piece. With minimal scratches and wear. The hand-carved details are a bit on the rustic side and not terribly fussy or'polished' workmanship. Almost folk arty. It is a solid piece and nice and usable still, with a decidedly'country' feel to it. The piece is actually quite light once the drawers are pulled out for transport and is not too heavy to lift at all. I love the carved details and personality of the thing! I do not want to ship it if I can help it- would prefer local sale. We live in Mars Hill. North Carolina, just 20 minutes from Asheville and easy directions to find us. I can help move it as well. This is an antique dresser with a beveled marble top(marble recently replaced) and candle-stands flanking the large mirror in the middle. The greatest thing about this piece is the decorative top that attaches via pegs to the top of the mirror(see pics) It has rolling wheels on the bottom. So it's easy to move around. The top can be removed from the bottom via screws on the back of the mirror. All in all. I'd say it's in good condition, but has been stored and of course needs a good cleaning. Up for sale is this great Antique marble top dresser it stands over 7 feet tall with the mirror connected to it. It is about 43 inches wide and about 20 inches deep. It has a stunning mirror all complete and not broken. Its flaws are a crack in the marble top. The knobs are not original Although I do have one original so you can match them up if you search for them. Also one of the candle stands has a black cup type ring on it. Antique 3 Drawer Dresser: with Languedoc Marble Top & Grape Leaf Pulls.
This is an amazing three drawer dresser. Complete with marble top, grape leaf drawer pulls, and rolling casters for feet. The marble top is a languedoc stone that is found in France. It measures 48" x 22" x 1" The top is currently not mounted. This is how I discovered the piece and instead of re-mounting the marble. I would rather leave that option to the next owner. The body is made out of what I believe to be walnut. It measures 33 1/2" tall x 37 1/4" wide x 16 1/4" deep. The drawers are outlined in molding and have working locks(no key avail) Each drawer is garnished with two wooden grape/grape leaf drawer pulls. There are no obvious maker marks on the dresser. This bureau belonged to my grandmother. Unfortunately. I do not have space for it any longer. I believe this is"Victorian Eastlake" It is in very good original condition with original hardware. Sold as is. No one has painted, refinished or otherwise tampered with it. There was never a mirror from the time my grandmother acquired it. Local pick-up only! Dimensions are: 51 inches wide. 19 inches front to back and 33 inches at the tallest point. This is a gorgeous Antique Eastlake walnut dresser with a white Carrera marble top. Ornately carved pivoting mirror, and glove boxes. The 3 drawers below have beautifully carved acorn pulls, and the glove boxes have porcelain knobs. There are burl panels on the front of each drawer under the pulls. The drawers have"pin and cove" joints. There is a crack on the top of one of the glove drawers as shown, but other than that, this is a very well preserved piece of furniture. The size is 33 1/2" high to the dresser top x 37" wide x 18" deep. The top of the mirror measures to 69" high. There are no other breaks. Chips or cracks in the marble that I can see. There are some discolored spots on the marble that may polish out. The base dresser has ribbed trim on the front and paneled sides. There are 4 dovetail drawers with metal pulls. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. There are some splits in the veneer around the mirror and peeling on the front left corner of the top piece. There is a split on the right side panel of the top piece as well. There are typical nicks and dings on the wood that tops the bow front drawers. This piece is in good overall condition for its age. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made.
