From antiques estate! seems to be mahogany, a nice dark wood, with nice patina brass drawer knobs and swivel hardware for the mirror. so much detail work in the carving of the reeded cheval brace topped with the beautiful pineapple finials. Click on photos for close up view! There is a slight overall haze in the mirror's silvering, commensurates with the true turn of century glass mirrors. This is about 18 inches tall x 19 inches wide x 12 inches deep. A couple very minor knicks and a burnt burl spot on the flat surface-see photos. Beautiful wood. this appears to have been gently used. This beautiful piano bench was made in England. Most likely in the late 1800s, possibly very early 1900s. It is made of solid wood, which I believe to be mahogany. It has a beautiful rich medium tone, reddish brown in color. The wood has a beautiful grain which I have tried to capture in the photographs. Underneath the seat is a cast iron mechanism that allows the seat to be raised or lowered using the knobs on the side. The mechanism was made and patented by the Marsden company and is in perfect working order. The wood on the underside of the stool and part of the mechanism is stamped"Marsden's Patent LEEDS 542. See photos) The bench features splayed legs. With lovely turned designs. It is well made and very sturdy, suitable for daily use as a piano bench or vanity seat. The cushioned seat has been replaced and recovered in a gold ... moreand beige fabric, but could easily be switched out to match your decor. It is in good condition, no stains. The bench weighs approximately 14 pounds. And measures 19 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 14 inches deep. When raised to its maximum height it is 22 inches tall. CONDITION: This is an antique piece. 54329 ANTIQUE 1850s ROCOCO REV CARVED MAHOGANY W FLAME VANITY SHAVING MIRROR
A very beautiful and fine antique. Circa 1850's, mahogany shaving or vanity stand with adjustable mirror. The serpentine mahogany base is on four bun feet, the elevation with finely figured mahogany veneers. The mahogany mirror uprights are carved as acanthus scrolls, the mirror frame with figured veneers. It measures 34" tall by 31" wide by 12-1/2" deep at center. Mirror glass measures 18-1/2" by 24-1/2" Very good plus condition: original finish, beautiful color to the woods. Three small veneer chips to the mirror frame. Small spot on back of mirror with silver loss and some spotting near.

For sale we have this superb Quality mahogany writing desk/ vanity. This lovely piece of furniture we made by top makers Waring and Gillow in the 1930s.The quality and workmanship really stands out as you look over this piece. It measures 48" wide by 25" deep by 30" tall approx. The condition is very good with some very miner surface scratches and dents to the wood but nothing that detracts from the overall look. Antique Mahogany Dressing Table Vanity, 1890 Era, Local Pick Up Only
This beautifully shaped vanity is very old and in very good condition for age. There are limited minor imperfections from age. I was never sure about the type of wood but now I believe it to be mahogany. It is lighter weight. There are two side drawers on the step-up section and one larger one in the lower center. It has a lower shelf stretcher. No repairs have been made that I am aware of. No oil. It has always been kept in a corner, avoiding sunlight. I never used the drawers, however they work perfectly, original wood knobs. California home with no kids or pets. I believe I am the third owner and I have displayed this carefully for 30 years. Elegant Regency Styled Mahogany Ladies Vanity Table, Writing Desk with 4 Drawers
This is the most curvaceous Mahogany ladies dressing table/ vanity you've ever seen! Styling is regency/ rococo. With cabriolet legs. Piece has 3 small top drawers, and one larger desk drawer. The veneer pattern on many faces of the desk is still vibrant& colorful- it looks like inlay, but it is not. There is some cracking to the large table-top surface, but the other veneer surfaces are intact. There are a few stress cracks in the curving form, but it is structurally sound. Item is used, so there are scuffs and dings. Beautiful addition to any room- piece is in good condition. We have no idea of its age. Origin or pedigree, but believe it is continental. Antique Mahogany?Piano/Vanity Bench w/Tapestry & Petit Point Seat&Cabriole Legs!
Offered is what I BELIEVE is a mid to late 19th century piano/vanity bench w/ a tapestry seat and petit point insert/center and cabriole legs. This bench measures approximately 25" wide(at widest part of leg) x 15" deep(at widest part of leg) x 19" tall. The actual dimensions of the bench seat are approximately 24.25" x 14.5" I also BELIEVE the wood is mahagony BUT COULD BE Rosewood or something else as I know little about woods and my guess of mahagony is based on the look of the wood and research to that era and other comparable cabriole legged benches. I BELIEVE 2 leg have been repaired; one at the ball of the foot of the leg. And the other on the ball of the foot and further up the leg and looks like a VERY well repaired site and is barely visible.I almost didn't see the upper repair for that leg, it is that ... moregood. There is some damage to the wood support between the legs where it looks like an animal gnawed a bit on the wood, as shown in the last photo on the right. I sat on this many times before I realized the legs had been repaired so I'm gonna say the bench is pretty strong, as I've had this item for many years and never examined it until I decided to sell it recently. Some scratches/mars/spots on the wood, as to be expected but overall in very good condition and very graceful, beautiful and very elegant. Large Collectible Carved Mahogany Wood Bevel Doll Mirror Vanity W/Tapestry Stool
Another listing of one of my most prized possessions. Today I'm offering this ornately carved wood doll Vanity with matching tapestry covered stool from my personal collection. The three legged vanity has a real beveled mirror. Stands 26 1/2" tall, 14" wide and 7 1/2" deep. The stool is about 10 1/2" tall including tapestry upholstered padded seat which measures 8" in diameter. I'd say it would accomodate a doll from 18" 30" doll nicely. Being modeled by Jan McLean's 31" Molly to give you an idea of it's size. I'd classify the condition as excellent. The only notable issues are a slight separation between one of the legs on the stool which I believe to me a manufacturing defect and a couple of minor scrapes. Please see last photos. This beauty stands a whopping 33" tall. Is 28" wide, and 11.5 deep. She has lots of chips and a patch job. Please view pictures carefully. I have tried to take pictures of all of it so you can see them. I think the top it is mahogany veneer. The dolphins are 1" thick, 6.5" wide, and 21" tall. The side drawers are 6.25 wide; middle drawer 9.5. From bottom to top of shelf is 6" Mirror[which has been replaced] is 16.25 wide and 21 3/8 tall[this is sight for mirror, not including the frame] When I bought it years ago I made sure the key worked and opened it and locked it several times before buying it. Key has always been in drawer that doesn't lock, now for the life of me I can't get it to unlock! Fine dovetail joints. Obviously built by a true craftsman. Signs of a paper label on back. Early American Mahogany Empire Vanity With Mirror Claw Feet
Another great example of a well kept piece from about 1870. It's a real piece of American made furniture back when people cared about quality and weren't rushed. Overall construction is of solid imported mahogany. The crotch mahogany around the mirror frame and drawer face are of course veneer, that truly is the only way to get the grain that looks like that.
