This beautiful sideboard of inverted breakfront design has a moulded edge top over three frieze drawers and raised on twin pedestals with arched fielded panel doors raised on a plinth base. antique empire flame mahogany vanity dresser carved!!!!
layaway available on any of my listings should anyone have an interest in that. up for auction is the nicest empire vanity i have seen in all the years i have been messing with antiques. i bought this not long ago and have it in my dining room as there is no where else to put it in my 20 room house. i have another one in a bedroom upstairs that i will list shortly. hopefully it will sell and not this one as i want to actually keep this one. anyway. I have seen a dozen or so of these, but none this nice. it is serpentine, heavily carved mirror harp, pedestal, feet and wings, along with carved roping surrounding the vanity top. the mirror shows some fog, which does not bother me, i can have that corrected for about 100.00 should someone want that accomplished. it is free from damage or repairs as far as i can ascertain. i think the knobs on ... morethe two serpentine drawers are original as well. this is a wonderful empire piece made around 1860 or so i think out of the most wonderful flame mahogany as you will find. the piece has wonderful patina and is gorgeous. the pictures do not do it justice. it stands 49.5 to the top of the mirror, it is about 30 inches to the vanity top and 22 inches deep at the widest point of the serpentine top. it is 44 inches wide at the back of the top and 38 inches wide at the front of the top. shipping will be the buyers responsibility. you may arrange a carrier, or i will do it for you, or you may pick it up at my home. if the carrier requires a crate, i will build it for the cost of the material and will not charge any labor. the material will cost about 50.00 for the crate, if required. i need to sell one of these vanities, don't have room for both. i am starting this at probably all it is worth, but if you want the best, this is for you! i bought it because it was the nicest one i have seen in years and years. i doubt you can find another one like it, and if so, it will be expensive. i will be glad to answer any questions or supply other pictures upon request. good luck

The English Crotch Mahogany Dresser/ Wash Stand is in very good condition. The top opens to a felt dressing table with marble side panels and a mirror in the underside of the top. The mirror is present but not currently fixed in its frame(included) The dimensions are 39 1/2" wide by 19" deep by 37" high. The dresser has 4 drawers. The top drawer is divided into 3 sections. The other drawers are open. There is a long. Very fine crack on the left side of the dresser, and the top has some surface blemishes.

A piece that is from the original Haverty Furniture Company that we now know as just Haverty's. I believe this dates to around the 20's going by the Logo design. This may have originally been a small buffet or dining room side table as the top drawer had dividers at one time. There also appears to have been another layer of veneer on the top but there still is a nice mahogany top. I think the front is quarter sawn also giving it that striped look. Exemplary Federal Dresser--Cherry & Flame Mahogany Veneer
This is a really wonderful piece-solid cherry on top and sides. With flame mahogany veneer on the drawers, thick brass circular hardware(typifying the Federal period) and really great carvings at the bottom, finishing off with scrolled feet. There is minor nicking to the veneer. Other than that, it is in amazing condition. The drawers are smooth and the wood is beautiful. Looks like it was refinished a while back. Very, very heavy, which makes sense because it is made of two heavy hardwoods. Lots of color and a beautiful patina. 43" tall x 21 3/4" deep x 42 3/4" wide. Beautiful Flamed mahogany dresser set. This is an original mahogany dresser set from the early 1900's. It has detailed carved trim and beautiful flamed mahogany facing. The original solid cast bronze hardware is also included. The original large mirror goes over the lower long dresser and has the original glass which is in good condition. This is all hand crafted with dove tail joints.really nice work! The set needs refinishing. There are scratches on the top but the flamed front has remained in very good condition. The dressers could be used as is but would be astounding refinished! The most noteable issue is there is a hole in the veneer on the left side of the tall dresser that has been repaired.
