Or mirror stand& vanity dating from the early Showa period between1930 and the early 50's boasts ... morean adjustable 3 way mirror that creates multiple reflections, made in a beautiful extra thick quality glass with beveled borders that still has a very clear reflection for its age. The center below the mirror is adorned with a textured glass surface reflecting a pale blue colour. Its Art deco lines, adorned with a lovely stripy grain veneer in a golden shade are accented by silver tone openwork handles. Small drawers offer space for accessories or make-up and it can easily fit on a night stand, chest or work top making it an very useable and versatile piece. It is in excellent overall condition for its age with no major damage. There are some slight bubbles in the veneer in a couple of places. And one small chip has been filled on the middle drawer. The attachment between the mirror and the stand is slightly wobbly on the left hand side, but stable. The back of the central mirror has had some small repairs(fills, nails) and has a couple of chips, but this part is normally hidden from view. DIMENSIONS: The width with the mirrors open is 55.2 cm. This beautiful chest I found as a diamond in the rough needing TLC.I fell in love with the"tiger mahogany" drawer fronts and all of the trim details. I restored this piece from top to bottom. Including custom made drawer slides/runners. Complete drawer rebuilding including gluing and clamping. The veneer was repaired as need on the drawer fronts.I added custom trim to the drawer fronts. Like a picture frame adding great detail and beauty. The hand carved Celtic circle was a custom addition. New polished nickel hardware. Notice the fluted ball feet and the original scroll trim on the lower front skirt of the dresser. Antique 19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers - Dresser - Square Nails
It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. Antique mahogany princess dresser by Widdicomb furniture company
Selling an antique mahogany princess dresser made by the Widdicomb furniture company in 1902. Completely refinished in hand rubbed oils and in pristine condition. Measurements are 45 inches wide. 26 1/2 inches high on the dresser part and 72 inches high with mirror. Beautiful carvings and the inside of the drawers are birds eye maple. There are two drawers above the one long drawer that is shown in photos. On the back of the drawer is signed by who worked on it and the date is Feb. 26, 1902. It is also dated on the inside of the mirror. Quality piece of furniture and has to be seen to be appreciated. The mirror is attached to dresser by a gear like locking method. This is an amazing. High quality danish modern 7-drawer tall dresser. The pulls are a work of art. The drawers are well constructed and have stained bottoms. I believe this is a designer piece with solid wood and craftsmanship you don't see any more. Barrel peg legs with brass cuffs on apron support structure. All drawers glide smoothly. Some marks from use especially from fingernails at pulls but can likely be covered with old English. In the top section are two banks of drawers hidden by sliding doors. A very fine antique. Circa 1840's, Empire mahogany step back dresser with mirror. The front feet are large carved claws with acanthus leaf tops, below plinths supporting full round columns having acanthus carved capitols. Between are two flat deep drawers with curved ends. Above is the long convex front drawer, sectioned inside. Three small drawers are on top, all drawers with the original cut glass knobs with brass collars. Supporting the removable framed swivel mirror(new glass) are two carved acanthus leaf scrolls. The fronts and sides of the case are flame mahogany veneers, the case and drawer interiors of pine. It has four functional drawers for storage and a great look that would go well with almost any other style. It is an Edwardian period antique. Being made in England around 1910. The wood used is a lovely mahogany wood. It has been adorned(as was common for Edwardian period furniture) with a satinwood and ebony inlay around the drawer fronts ... moreand raised top sections. This dressing table had. At one time, a top with a mirror. This is no longer present and the holes where this would have been attached have been expertly filled. Each of the four drawers is constructed with hand cut dovetails. Making them quite strong. They slide quite well on their wooden runners. Round, brass ring pulls adorn each drawer and really complete the look of the whole dresser. Finally, the four tapered legs end in casters which have been replaced at some point in the dresser’s life. Besides a few old wear marks to the top and front. And one minor age separation on the lower top section, this Edwardian dressing table is in very good condition. It is sturdy and will last for generations to come. Large Antique American Empire Mahogany Dresser with Original Finish L@@K!
A large antique American Empire/ Late Classicism mahogany dresser. Circa 1870. Past down by decent in the same French Canadian family and then through marriage to Norwegian American relatives in the 1920's. Made from beautifully grained mahogany veneer over poplar and birch secondary wood and always kept indoors. There is absolutely no fading of the rich wood colors. It is approximately 34 1/2 inches high, 24 inches deep, and 48 inches wide, and is in excellent overall condition with the original finish intact. I will give it a dusting and a coat of paste wax and it will be ready to enjoy for another 100 years. Due to the size of this dresser I would prefer that it be picked up. If the buyer desires I will also personally deliver within about 100 miles for the cost of gas. An estate find. This is a really nice solid mahogany swivel dresser top mirror. Has good age and condition of wood is excellent. No breaks or repairs. Measures 24" tall by 18" wide. This is a very nice Queen Anne style solid mahogany lowboy chest or dresser made by the Councill Ceafstmen Co. It could also be used as a server or hall table. It has solid brass drawer pulls. Shell carved center drawer, carved knees and ball and claw feet. It is measures aprox. 34 3/4" wide x 20" deep x 31 1/4" high. It has dovetailed drawers, fancy solid brass hardware and the two lower drawers are divided. It is in great condition, no issues at all, it is clean both inside and out.
