I don’t like to always say this, but it resembles a piece from Horner although I don’t believe it to be made by Horner. It is certainly a high-end quality piece. It has an extra heavily 1.25 bevel edge mirror that swivels and is in good condition. The mirror is wrapped around by a solid brown mahogany frame with carvings all the way around, rope twist going up and the very top corners having angels carved in both sides. The base has a beautiful rose quartz bevel edge marble top. The miniature knobs on the base look like miniature doorknobs.

You can see the difference in the grain pattern for the first two drawers as well as the carved inlay detail. We believe this to be walnut and Maple, but mostly made of Walnut. Antique Mahogany Bow Front 4-Drawer Dresser / Chest - Mid 19th C
Beautiful antique chest of drawers in mahogany with a gentle sweep of a bow front. All original. Including its finish, as I hope you see in my close-ups. It features four nice deep drawers, perfect for storage, and has the dust panels between each level. The top pair drawers' inside measurements are 15 1/2" across by 5 1/2" tall, and are 15" to 17" deep, given the curvature of the front. The middle drawer's inside measurements are 32 1/4" across by 7" tall and 14 1/4" to 16 1/4" deep. The bottom drawer's inside measurements are the same as the middle except it is a little deeper at 7 1/2" tall. Overall. The measurements of the chest are 35 1/4" tall by 34 3/4" across by 16 1/4" to 19 3/4" deep. All four drawers work perfectly and have hand-done dovetail joints. Each ... moredrawer has original brass pulls and locks, though the key is missing. The finish is in great condition overall. I did my best to take accurate pictures of the style and quality. You are viewing a 1960's- 70's Mahogany Duncan Phyfe Dresser with a double bow front. It measures 34.5" x 56.5" x 20" There are a total of eight drawers with the two top drawers measuring 3.5" deep by 22' and the bottom six drawers are 4.5" deep by 22" wide providing plenty of storage space.The dresser is like new with very light scratches on the top and a couple of places where a small furniture pen was used to do a touchup. The drawers are dovetail construction with drawer dusters between each drawer. There are brackets on the back of the dresser where a mirror was attached. For auction here we have a good sized mahogany sideboard of serpentine shape dating to the first half of the 19th century. This pretty sideboard has a crossbanded top with with square edge over a central drawer flanked by cupboard door and deep drawer being raised on square tapering legs terminating in spade feet. This is a 1920's Custom Classic.Stunning Mahogany& Birdseye Maple Grains& Black. Polished Nickel Hardware I love restoring antiques and making custom furniture works of art. I acquired this beautiful piece needing lots of a fine restoration. I restored it from top to bottom and customized it along the way. Perhaps you will love the stunning end result as much as I do. All of the drawers were fully restored and slide beautifully.I added the 2 carvings on the lower corners of the upper cabinet.The drawers are all dovetail construction as you would expect on a high quality piece.The stunning mahogany and birdseye maple grains were buried under a failed and very opaque original finish. Very Nice Antique Empire Style Dresser with hand carved columns, flame mahogany
Hi. And thanks for looking! This listing is for a real antique empire style dresser. This is a good sized piece, 47 inches high, 42.5 wide, and 23 deep. There is three drawers on the bottom and two up top, all with hand cut dovetails. I think the bottoms of the drawers as well as other parts are all one piece of wood with no seams. The front has beautiful flame mahogany veneer which is in fairly good shape except on the top drawers, which have slight curve. Along each side of the front are greek colums with hand carved details top and bottom. The top of the dresser is two boards that have been painted to look like wood grain. There is a gap in between them, due to age I suppose. All the drawer pulls are clear glass, I don't think they are original, but they are old, and some don't match exactly. From doing a little bit of searching, I get some hits from Morris County, New Jersey on the names, I think Howard Simley was born in 1899 so this sale probably took place in the 30's or 40's, I would suppose, but that's just a guess. Good C19th Antique Victorian Mahogany Breakfront Sideboard Server Dresser Base
Here for auction we have a good Victorian mahogany sideboard of inverted breakfront form dating to the latter part of the 19th century. This well proportioned sideboard has a moulded edge top over a single frieze drawer and recessed cupboard flanked by further fielded panel cupboard doors and is raised on a plinth base. The cupboards to each side are also fitted with drawers and slides for storage.
