This splendid Victorian dresser offers beautiful raised panels of burl walnut on the mirror portion as well as on the drawer fronts. And the top of the mirror has a wonderful carved cartouche with walnut roundels accenting the top portion of the mirror. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 91 inches( 7ft 6" The dresser width measures 42 1/4 inches, dresser depth measures 18 1/4 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 29 1/4 inches, and this piece weighs approximately 150 lbs. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the mirror to be original and it measures 35 inches high by 19 inches wide and does show some light spotting that's age appropriate. The marble on the base is also original and is in wonderful antique condition with no chips or cracks. An Eastlake style. Walnut/burl walnut Sideboard with Victorian cut out gallery top. Intricate carvings along beveled mirror, and upper cornice. The piece has a rose marble top and two small top drawers. Left side drawer is lined in purple velvet that is worn, but decent for it's age. There is one large middle drawer and two cabinet doors at bottom. Bottom cabinet doors are missing the small brass keyhole covers. The piece has original hardware, and is in good condition. This piece is from the same estate as the large armoire I am currently listing and is in the same pristine original condition. Great large piece or a large Victorian. This would be a wonderful parlor piece. Very ornate with detail carved moldings and beautiful original beveled glass. This glass is curved on all sides creating a wonderful shape framed with curved oak molding. California 93510 Shipping Is Possible ~ Please Read Below For Your Consideration We Are Offering Our Lovely Antique Eastlake 1920's Walnut& Burl Dresser Vanity With Stationary Mirror ~ For Restoration/Repair This 1920's antique dresser/vanity is such a gorgeous piece of furniture ~ It measures 45" wide. Is 89" in height. 17" in depth and needs someone to care for& restore it ~ The Eastlake piece became part of our antique store inventory, when it was left buy a consignor. After it was damaged ~ The marble was broken. Some time ago, but the ornate top became unassembled and the end piece broken off. When it was attempted to be moved ~ We have housed(not stored) this beautiful piece. Since we closed the doors of our store ~ A recent move now has us having to find her a new home ~ The dresser/vanity ... moreis absolutely repairable. With all pieces present ~ It will need a new marble top. But is quite usable, with the one that exists The current marble is broken in two places ~ The right corner has been glued. So the actual top is in two pieces, not three ~ The damaged crown. Top piece, is removable(pic 3) ~ Dresser can be used without it. But it is not quite the same ~ The ornate point needs to be re-secured and the end re-fitted/repaired ~ The hardware is original. To the piece ~ all pulls are present ~ The drawers work fairly well. Refinished in 1968 by two brothers who lived outside Mt Vernon MO. The insides were reworked about 1974 by a piano tuner in Marshall. Mo. It works and is a gorgeous antique. Vintage Eastlake Victorian Adjustable Arm Brass Wall Shaving Mirror Kato mfg
Up for bid is a Kato Mfg. shaving mirror that used to belong to my grandparents. Could be 1890's to 1920's vintage-I'm not 100% sure. It is a wall mount unit that swings. Swivels, ratchets up and down and folds back on itself. It is nickel- or chrome-plated brass. The mirror itself is 7 inches in diameter. There are a couple of minor scratches on the surface of the mirror(see last photo)no cracks. The glass is beveled. The silvering is in very good condition considering it's age. With the arm fully extended it is about 20 inches long. Folded up it is about 10 inches long. This would be the perfect addition to any Victorian or eclectic-styled bathroom. The mirror is marked"KATO" on the wall mount. KATOMIRROR" on the main arm closest to the mount, KATO MFG CO" on the ratchet joint; and"PAT APD FOR" ... moreon the mirror back mount. Antique Eastlake Dresser This is an Eastlake style antique dresser. We believe it is composed of walnut with a medium-tone finish. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. The exposed marble surface measures 40 7/8" by 13 3/4" This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There are ... morea few chips along the dresser edge. It appears as though there was originally a crown as well as a pair of candle holder arms. These pieces are no longer included. The mirror may be a replacement, since it is not beveled, but it is still a lovely match. There is a slight separation in the joint at the top of the mirror arch. I see a few very faint paint splatters on the dresser. There are minor imperfections, such as scratches or spots of wear, which I believe should be expected on a piece of this age. There was a worn piece of wrapping paper around this little mirror. And just one piece of it was saved. The last photo shows that paper! It has"1 Augest Thonsen 1878" That's what it looks like to me, but maybe I'm not seeing it correctly! The overall size of this old mirror is 8" x 14 1/2" tall. The actual mirror size is 5 1/2" x 9 3/4" tall. An expert said it is diamond dust, but I can't guarantee that. The best way to tell if it really is diamond dust is when it's damaged. This one is in encased in wood with screws and has been in a dry climate(Denver) for over 136 years, so there's no damage! The"burled" walnut is a veneer, and that's easy to see when you look at the back of it! Antique corner medicine cabinet. Excellent antique condition. 16" tall cabinet-with top and bottom shelf-type extensions it is 24" top to bottom. 11" deep. 17" across. The beveled mirror is 9 1/2" X 7 1/2" The key is stationary and used as the pull. The cabinet does not lock. There is a very thick piece of wood backing the mirror. I have heard it said that the wood is beech. But I do not know. All the decorative wooden pieces are still on it. This piece has been in my family for decades. The drawers are all hand dovetailed, chamfered bottoms, the original brass pulls still all intact have almost an arts& crafts signification, could be Masonic symbols. This chest is structurally very sound and tight, all drawers move snuggly but smoothly, the back piece fits perfectly and holds the beveled mirror perfectly, in other words the piece is in very good condition. Burl Walnut Victorian Eastlake Aesthetic Bed & Dresser w/ mirror Set Circa1880
I have a beautiful Burl Walnut Victorian Eastlake Aesthetic Period Bedroom Set(Circa: 1880) This gorgeous Victorian Bed measures 70” in total height from the floor to the high spot on the headboard. And 55” in total width. The total outside length of the bed is 77” The inside(mattress area) dimensions are 52" x 73" just shy of a standard bed(54 x 75) but way more than a 3/4 bed. Since it has the original spring frame, I had a mattress mfg cut their standard mattress to fit. Didn't cost extra. The dresser is 74" tall, 39" wide, and 19" deep, with beautiful brass hardware. The swivel mirror is detachable. The mirror itself is not original, and is in good shape. The bed and dresser were both refinished in the 1960's, and have a lovely hand rubbed finish. Of course, with items this old, there are nicks and dings, ... morebut they in no way diminish the beauty of the furniture. Beautiful. OLD, 19thC wall mirror and shelf unit. This is a large piece measuring 44" wide, 33" tall and 5" to the wall. The unit features VERY ORNATE AND DETAILED carved wood with notched patterns and severe geometric cuts. The unit features a glass mirror in the center as well as a beveled side mirror. There is a stick and ball arch at the top of the unit and there are ball and stick balustrades on the shelf sections. This is a very nice unit with exceptional details. It is original with the glass mirrors still held in place with their original wood supports on the back. The top arch is held in place with the original wood dowels. The shelf is finished in a burgundy brown paint which is old, but I do not know if it is original. The unit is very heavy. It is in very good condition with expected evidence of age and use.
