Normally one would assume that something that is 52 years old would be in trashed condition. I beg to differ. This was made when people actually used high quality materials to make furniture and it was made to last. If you think about it there are still usable pieces of furniture around from the 1800's. This piece has not been abused in any way. After being purchased here in the twin cities it made a trip to Arizona for most of its life. It moved back to MN 3 years ago and I obtained it 2 years ago. Drexel Heritage Meridian Antique Dresser
If you would like to arrange to see this in person before the end of the auction please contact me and we can arrange that. It is listed for sale locally so the auction may end early. This is a beautiful Drexel Meridian Dresser with the model number 914- 132- 2 stamped on the back along with the words Meridian by Drexel. I believe the final stamping is the date it was manufactured but I am not 100% sure of that. My wife gave me the idea that it could have also been a limited edition run and this is number 5 of only 64 made but again I am not sure just tossing idea's out there. The first picture listed is what it looks like put together. It is not the actual dresser but a picture of it I found on the internet that is identical. I wanted to show what it looked like put together with the mirror. The second picture is the mirror. Kind of ... morehard to tell what I was taking a picture of so thought I should clarify it. The rest of the pictures are of the actual dresser so you can see exactly what it looks like. What I can tell you for sure is this is beautiful and all in good working order. The drawers all slide in and out nicely and the two doors on the front open like they should also. This does have the mirror that mounts on the back along with the mounting hardware. I am not sure what kind of the wood it is but can tell you for sure it is very heavy& well made. I can also tell you the drawers are dovetail and they are all in good working order. This is a very nice high quality piece of furniture. I would be willing to bet even though it's 50 years old it could last another 50 years in my opinion.

Mid Century Danish Modern Drexel Biscayne Dresser /Sideboard / Credenza Henredon
DESCRIPTION This is a gorgeous mid century dresser. This one is part of Drexel's"Biscayne" Collection. It has 4 drawers of graduating height on the left with storage area on the right behind the cabinet door. It appears there was a slide out door above the storage that is no longer there.all of the drawers open and close smoothly. Each drawers retains contact paper. I believe the drawer pulls were originally a brass coated chrome and are now all chrome(which I tend to think make the piece look better) The top has a couple minor areas of wear as seen in pic# 10-11. Ovewrall. A well built and solid piece of mcm furniture. Drexel Suncoast Walnut Dresser by Kipp Stewart and Stewart MacDougall
Rare. Mid-century vintage piece in excellent condition with a full-size bureau mirror that mounts to the back. Custom cut/beveled glass included(not pictured) to protect the dresser top. Manufactured in 1958-59 timeframe and purchased new by my family in the early 1960s. It's been taken very good care of. It is easy to identify the custom design. Each drawer is unique in size and only fits into its specific location. Could work beautifully as a television and entertainment piece. Movies and CD's tuck away nicely in the hand-crafted drawers.
