Antique Sterling Silver Dresser Set; Brush, Mirror, Nail File
This Sterling Silver dresser set dates from the late 1800's. It is engraved with the name"Elva" We have left it unpolished. There are Sterling marks on all three pieces. The insert that holds the bristles is a little loose in the brush handle. There is also a small crack on either side of the back of the brush. There are dents on the handle of the nail file. I've tried to take photos that show the flaws in these items. Please ask if you would like further details.

Sterling Silver Gorham Vanity Dresser 3 piece Set Brush Mirror Comb, Case
For auction is an exquisite Sterling Silver 3 Piece Vanity Set by Gorham in original case. This set was purchased at an Estate Auction and has been very lightly cleaned for the pics. It is pattern#23 with heavy floral carving. The mirror is appx 9.5” x 4.5” inside with the brush appx. 8.25" x 3” and the comb 7.75" long. All three pieces are stamped Gorham. Sterling, 23. This set is not monogrammed and in perfect used, displayed condition. I did not see any dings, breaks or scuffs. I don't detect any, but I would imagine if there were any light scratches, they would buff out when polished. I did find three hair brush bristles out of place(sticking out to the side) No teeth are missing on the comb but four teeth are slightly curved. It is stamped STERLING, both on the back of the frame and on the base. It stands just 2 3/4" high. And the base is 2" across by 5/8" deep. One end of the frame is slotted to allow insertion of a photograph. And there is a piece of mylar in the frame to cover a photo. The frame measures 1 3/8" wide by 2 1/4" high. Complete bed. The bed measures 54 1/2" w by 70 1/2"tall X 77" This is a long bed and is unusual because its a full or double. The dresser has four drawers and two smaller drawers on the top. The dresser also comes with a mirror. It is a very victorian looking mirror. Antique Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Dresser Set - Brush & Mirror - 294 grams
Lovely sterling dresser set comprised of a brush and hand mirror. The pieces have a lovely Art Nouveau floral design adorning them along with a monogram of initials that appear to read"RHR" There is a good amount of wear on the pieces. Some denting and some scratches on the mirror, and the reflective part of the mirror has come loose. I imagine a professional could repair these flaws fairly easily though. The set weighs 294 grams, though I was told the silver content is closer to 110 grams. The mirror measures 8" x 4.25" and the brush measures 7" x 2" The mirror is marked with a Flag that has F&B I believe, in the field. Then STERLING and Pat'd. She always had"modern" taste back then. No idea who the manufacturer was but back of the dresser reads"WMB 8862 8864 T. DR. and then"90 Blue Mink" Pieces are heavy and seem to be made of oak. The grain is visible with a shiny black stain on it. Which sort of gives it a blackish, blue color. The handles are gold metal, but not sure what kind. There is a routing line around several drawers that are filled in with a gold finish. It has been used so there are some nicks here and there, but she was pretty careful with her things because at that time they needed to last a life time. Antique Sterling Art Nouveau Dresser Mirror Vanity Perfume Tray Plateau HLLMRKED
This is a truly RARE BEAUTY! Exquisitely etched mirror surrounded by painstakingly cut out scrolled wood topped by STERLING SILVER HALLMARKED caps. Connected with CELLULOID guards. Mirror measuring 16x11 with a inch or two extra for the wood scrolls. So much to tell on this mirror I’ll list to the corresponding number on photos: 1& 2) ETCHING on mirror is superb! As you can see. Different angles produce a slightly different appearance. 3) WOOD scrolls. Possibly WALNUT are cut out perfectly for the Sterling caps. The caps are nailed on with silver headed nails so they become part of the design. I couldn’t make out what the HALLMARKS(photo 6) say, but this has been TESTED as STERLING SILVER! 4) 1 very slight scuff& slight rippling. Only noticeable on CLOSE INSPECTION- NO BROWN SPOTS at all! At a glace this mirror LOOKS PERFECT! EXCELLENT ... moreCLARITY for a mirror this age! 5) SILVER caps are in excellent shape with only a tiny edge piece missing on 2(3mm) scrolls. Center scrolls are both slightly dented in centers(photos) 6) The dark edge pictured is the extent of it& only occurs in a couple spots on very edge. Again you really have to look for them. 7) CELLULOID guards are in EXCELLENT SHAPE& even have a slight SHINE to them! No scratches or gouges anywhere! 8) A couple scrolls have slight dings to the wood on the bottom. Not noticeable. 9) Looks like this used to have handles or maybe just holes were drilled for them& not used. But there are filled in holes on either end of mirror. This in no way takes away from the beauty of this piece. 10) All wood backing held with screws. Nice& flat- screws are slightly countersunk so as not to damage your bureau. CAVEATS: VERY. Beveled mirror does have some black small black spots to it but nothing overly distracting. Brush measures approx. 10 inches and in excellent condition also. The 7+ inch brush does have some old silver polish residue on it otherwise in excellent condition with all teeth present. Set has two approx. 5 1/2 by 2 1/4 jars with etched rose. Flower and leaf pattern repeated three times on glass with impressed thumbnail pattern also repeated three times. Again NO MONOGRAMS. Set is tarnished as shown but as with any antique item felt it best to leave as found. This a substantial set with a hefty silver content. The two lids on the jars weigh in excess of five ounces. This is a fantastic repousse style Gorham sterling silver dresser set. Which includes a mirror, brush and comb. I believe the pattern is Buttercup. All three pieces are marked Gorham Sterling and have a 23 added. This set is in very good used condition. The mirror measures 9 5/8" x 5 3/8" The brush measures 8 3/8" by 2 7/8" and the comb measures about 7 5/8" long. There is a small ding in the center back of the mirror and both sides of the handle have dents and the mirror has a small scratch and a small dark spot as shown. They could use a good polish. The imperfections are minor and it is still a beautiful set. The brush and comb are very good with minor wear from use as shown. Vintage Swivel Vanity Dresser Mirror with Drawer Ornate Victorian Style
Beautiful swivel dresser mirror with drawer bought by my grandparents in the early 1950's. Measures 21 1/2" tall. 16 1/2" wide and 8" deep. I believe it is walnut, but I'm not sure. The finish is walnut. The wood above the mirror has decorative carving. Ornate spindles with antique brass knobs/turns hold the mirror. In nice condition with a bit of wear and scratches. Those spots can be touched up with Old English Scratch Cover. Or some other kind of wood restorer, or the whole piece can be painted for a shabby look. Brass needs cleaning. Welcome to my Auction! This auction is for a vintage dresser/vanity brush. Mirror and comb set in a gold color Mirror is 6" round. 10" Long with handle and approx 1/4" thick. It has a heavy beveled mirror that has several scratches in the mirror surface. The back also has some discolor areas, appears to have stained vintage plastic. Brush frame is a oval with what appears to be natural bristles. The brush measures 9"L x 2 1/4"W x 1 1/2" thick. It too has some light brown colored stain on the back of the brush end that has penetrated the surface of the vintage plastic. Bristles appear to all be intact. The comb is 8" long 1 3/4" wide and approx 1/4" thick. It has some white stains on the top and the tip is broken off one end. No makers marks or stickers I am not familiar with what kind of plastic ... morethese item are made of or their age but they are vintage. They have a real smooth feel and appear to have ridges or grain marks in the plastic. Like wood would have a grain possibly bakelite. The trifold mirror features acanthus columns with flame finials. There are two small drawers over three larger drawers. These are graduated in size. This dresser offers a wonderful amount of storage. There are also two pull out shelves above the two small drawers. The fully carved acanthus columns on each side of the drawers end carved claw feet. The measurements are 67 1/2 inches high, 48 inches wide, and 22 inches deep. The center mirror is 32 inches by 17 inches and the small 24 inches by 9 inches. Each side out is 12"x13" The weight is approximately 85 lbs. VINTAGE STERLING SILVER WHITING MADAME JUMEL REPOUSSE MIRROR BRUSH DRESSER SET
This is an old antique marked sterling and hallmarked with the mark for Whiting Manufacture Co. four piece vanity set from a very nice local estate. It is in the Madame Jumel pattern that was introduced in 1908. The set has the monogram of EFD in fancy script. The hand mirror is 8 1/2" by 5" and has some silver loss on mirror. See photo. There is a super microscopic not worth noting and hard to see ding below thumb in photo. Please look at photo number 5 and the tiny tiny hard to see dent is below my thumb shadow. This will not bother you at all. The brush is 9 3/4" by 3" The comb is 8" by 1 3/4" The nail file is 7 1/4" by 3/4" This is a wonderful set that has been well cared for. Antique Sterling Hand Mirror Gorgeous engraving work. With no monogram Marked Sterling with the maker's initials. I am unable to identify these marks. And would appreciate hearing from anyone who may know. The mirror is usable as is. But could use a new glass piece since there is something going on with the current piece glass, although I have used it like this for many years. Measures approximately 13" long and 5" wide(measured at the widest part) This does have some condition issues. But I think that all of them may easily be repaired if you wish. There is a separation along the upper handle. It appears that someone may have tried to open the handle. I am thinking that they may have thought to replace the mirror? I am just guessing. Thank you for considering the Quarter Sawn Tiger Oak Bachelor Chest of Drawers. The overall condition of this gorgeous piece of furniture is very remarkable. It has a beveled mirror that has added character due to the silver lining wearing over time. There are no notches. Scratches, or discoloration in the wood what so ever. It has not been repaired in any way. It still retains the original drawer pulls and hardware. The casters are still attached properly and really help aid in the movement of the dresser. Victorian shell art dresser w/mirror 4 1/2" wide 6" tall with all of it's shells. Made in England in late 1800's. Decorated with three mirrors. Which have been replaced along with their trim, and a variety of ornamental shells. The back is of wood grain paper typical of this era. The lid lifts to a container for candy or trinkets which is showing it's age, see photo.

From an estate in NW Indiana comes this unusual round mirror. It is approximately 12" in diameter; has 3"feet" for placing on a dresser or vanity; also has a built in hook to use for hanging on a wall. The edges are beveled; the"dots" which appear to be raised are not raised on the surface. It does have some issues with the metal frame as there is one area where it is crimped outwards and some discoloration and black spots have developed on the mirror. Does need a gentle cleaning. Very nice. Uncommon Aesthetic Movement mirror, style d as a hand-mirror but also with a hanging ring for wall mount. N icely-cast detail in the Aesthetic manner. Perhaps of bronze. Not sure.but it does look li ke it. Non-metallic. Though. Perhaps made by Bradley& H ubbard. But no markings noted other th an'P AR.APPL. FOR. Ov erall 13.5" x 6.5" What is quite apparently the original beve led mirror plat e do es have some de- silvering. Su rface scratching and some chips/flakes visible on the back.
