Genuine Dixie Mid-Century Low Dresser
This is an original Dixie low dresser made post-1950. It does need some work. Ie.one brass-finished handle is missing, the top has some stains and scratches so needs re-finishing, and a small piece of veneer needs re-gluing, not unexpected in a piece of this age. Otherwise good order, with the solid wood dove-tailed drawers running smoothly. It is made out of solid wood with a walnut veneer and a medium/dark stain. It was made by Dixie. A fine furniture company based in South Carolina. Measurements are as follows: height=30 3/4" width=72" depth=18 3/4" approx. I would be happy to supply more pictures on request.

WHO CAN'T USE 3 EXTRA DRAWERS? THIS TRUE VINTAGE/RETRO DIXIE 3- DRAW DRESSER IS PERFECT FOR A BEDSIDE CHEST OR AS A STAND-ALONE DRESSER. This is a great Mid-Century Modern piece. It can be placed by the bed. On a wall with a mirror or even in the closet since it will fit under the standard lowest closet clothes rod. You will note the dresser is two or three different colors in the photos. The one that looks nearly blond was taken during the day with blinds open. We have nothing but windows on the east and the morning sun is bright. The real color is the one where you see the top of the dresser. I apologize for the inconsistencies, but it will be the same in your home too if it is placed near a window. Just remember this is Walnut wood so it is darker than the blond the gallery photo appears to be. This piece was made by Dixie from medium ... morewalnut and walnut veneer. The veneer finish protected it for 50-60 years from glass-rings. Lotions and anything that might be corrosive. This chest is in good used condition and has only minor wear you would expect for pieces of this age- that are rarely perfect without refinishing. This is quality made furniture that will last for many more years to come. There are three nice sized(5" deep) drawers and it sits on 8" MCM peg legs. The styling and unique size is what makes the pricing of this vintage piece higher than ordinary used bedroom chests of drawers. This dresser/chest measures 30" wide. 19" deep and 28" tall. All of the hardware to attach the mirror is included. The mans dresser measures 36 inches long. 45-1/2 inches tall, 20 inches deep. The two bottom drawers measure a generous 10 inches deep. I painted this set baby blue a few years ago except for the mirror. The mirror I painted hunter green to match my bathroom where I used it. It would be easy enough to refinish if you desire.
