The chest is in amazing condition, with very ... morelittle sign of wear at all. There is one small area on the top of the right glove box where the finish is a bit worn, but with a little oil, this should clean up nicely. The chest has the original finish and the mirror has the original glass intact. There are a few light surface scratches to the finish from general use, but it has been very well cared for, and is in amazing condition. There is a small sticker remnant on the mirror frame as well. I am unsure of the exact age or manufacture of the piece, but I do know that was originally contructed between 1900 and 1920. The chest has straight legs that taper slightly towards the bottom, with original casters.

Antique Jewel Chest Brass Hand Made Cabochon Butterscotch Amber Ornate Box Rare!
I purchased this amazing little chest at an estate auction held for a family that originated in the middle east. I am no expert by any means but will describe this to the best of my ability and include lots of photos and let you make your own determination. I have searched for similar items and found nothing like it. It measures 7" wide. 6" deep and 6" tall. The entire exterior of the box and it's hinged lid is covered with sheets of what appears to be brass. The brass is very ornately decorated, obviously hand decorated and has cabochon jewels in several places. The largest and most prominate is on the front of the lid and looks like a butterscotch colored piece of amber with dark veins or cracks going thru it. That stone is about 1" tall and about 5/8" wide. On the front of the box below the amber is a red stone, ... moresmaller measuring maybe 1/2" x 1/4" On each side of the lid there are additional stones, about the same size as the red stone, in a light gray or maybe light blue. These two stones have facets. The inside of the box and lid are lined with emerald green fabric. Looks like taffeta. The fabric is very thin and worn. Obviously very old. Antique Primitive Walnut Farm Fresh Chest Brass Handles Toolbox Orig. Hardware
This auction features an antique walnut chest. Probably a tool chest at one point. The chest is made of solid walnut ½ in thickness. The outside measurements are 21 inches wide, 12 ¾ inches in depth, and the chest stands 10 ¾ inches tall. Total weight packed is 20 pounds. I believe this was probably made to be used as a tool box. And not something that one would have sitting in the house. The reason I think this is because of the lips that have been inlaid inside the box. I believe this at one point had a few trays inside, that would have been perhaps ½- ¾ of the depth of the box, and would have been able to slide forwards and backwards to access needed drill bits, hammers, chisels and the like. The lips are still inside, but the trays are nowhere to be found. The inside has also been painted. The outside features ... morewhat looks to be the original finish. As well as the original hardware. New screws have been added to the part of the hinge that attaches to the lid because the lid was detached when found. Overall nice used condition, with just the correct amount of authentic wear.

Ch'ing Dynasty Low Chest / Antique Chinese Furniture
Perfect for use as a library or book storage chest. Or as a credenza. This low chest from the Ch'ing Dynasty is made from elm wood, is from Shan Shi, China, and measures 46 1/2" wide x 19" deep x 29 1/2" tall. In 1999 it was certified to be over 100 years old, by Ning Po Art& Craft Association of China. Certificate will come with the chest. There is separation on the chest's top panel. Which has produced a small 1" crack(see photo) Otherwise the chest is in good condition. I bought it from a well-known Chinese antiquities dealer about 14 years ago. This beautiful piece of furniture is made of richly colored well grained wood. The front panel is ornately carved with a Cherry Tree in a decorated vase on a stand in front of ribbons and scrolls. What appears to be books on a rack, round box, a Gongshi vase with scrolls and a wand with tassel. Branching tree in a pot, another vase with fronds on a geometric stand and a bowl with two peaches. Chippendale Style Shell Carved Ball and Claw Foot Chest of Drawers Solid mahogany. Hand dovetailed construction, late 20th Century Item# 120101EWP01 This is a work of art with attention shown in every detail of the case. The entire case is solid mahogany. With carefully selected grains that produce a glowing fire throughout. The rim is ruled around the front and sides over a top drawer with a gallery of three carved shells over the blocked encasements below. The two outmost shells are convex, carved out of solid mahogany, each flanking the concave central shell with a keyhole in the middle. The drawer has an incredible thick facade and, uniquely, no hardware- the key is meant to act as the pull hardware, the craftsman not wanting to distract from the shell carvings by adding hardware. The three following drawers feature incredible blocking ... moreover shaped molding that flows with the outline of the chest. Each drawer is hand dovetailed at the front and back, the top drawer having a single solid board bottom, each other drawer being two board construction. The case rests over incredible hand carved ball and claw feet. Each flawlessly formed with detail in every joint, muscle and stretched nail. The back two feet are carved only in the front, much in the nature of the period chests, where an absence of any mechanical device meant everything was crafted by hand- the craftsman would regularly look for ways to reduce finishing work without detracting from the overall result of the case, as our craftsman did in this chest by leaving the back of the back feet unformed. This is one of the most precisely crafted and aesthetically attractive block front reproductions we've come across in a very long time. An original block front chest of drawers is unattainable for the average collector to acquire; this is the closest most collectors will get to the real block front. Antique,Vintage,Wood Steamer Trunk,Chest,Ornate Brass,Eagle Lock Co.,1833-1954
Nice Old Antique Trunk. I am not sure of the exact age. But the lock on it is from Eagle Lock Co. Eagle lock was in business from 1833-1954. So the age of the trunk lies in that time frame. It is adorned with black metal trim and ornate brass accents. This old trunk does show it's age in places. But there is nothing major. A few nicks, and there are a few dents or ding marks in the black metal trim. On the top front you will see there is 2 areas of chipped or worn off wood, a small amount enough to where wood putty filler should be an easy fix if you wish. There is also a very small chip place on the side you can see in pic 6. One of the hinges on the back is missing one button, see pic 9, and there is some separation on some of the brass corner pieces you can see in pic 12. I think I have mentioned every flaw. But please see all the ... morepictures for the best description. For a trunk this old I consider its condition to be normal. Also, this would make a nice coffee table. the top is flat. Antique Vintage Wooden Travel Luggage Chest Stagecoach 1840-1870s Saratoga Dome
This is an original un-restored travel chest/ stagecoach luggage from around the 1830-1870s time frame. I am not sure of the exact age but it is very old. It has been stored the best way possible for the last 65 years and possibly longer. This was in my grandparents house which was built in 1897. My mom said the last time she remembered it was when she was about 10(1950s) My mom said she remembered her grandmother talking about it belonging to her mother(my mom's great grandmother) So this belonged to my great great grandmother. I am almost 40 years old and my grandmother passed away about 8 years ago at 95 years of age. Dimensions are 32" Wide. 18" Deep and 22" Tall at center of top, 20" at edges of top. From the research I have done. This is a S aratoga Steamer Trunk. The chest is wooden and dome shaped on the top. ... moreIt is fairly large and will be expensive to ship based off it's size and needing to be protected. The rope handles are decayed mostly and it does show it's age. It was stored carefully inside since the 1950s and wasn't even touched for at least 60 years. I have had the chest for about 3 years and have stored it carefully as well. I took it out for the pictures and sat it on top of some boxes in the garage for the pictures. There are metal corners and buckles some of which have some rust. The wood has a split on the top and it is very dirty. The interior is all original as well. It seems to be in ok shape for the fact it is 150-185 years old. There is some age damage to the pictures inside and the fabric as well as the outside of this chest. It was used back then and it does show that. Please do not expect a nice restored chest. This is untouched and has not see the light of day in at least 60 years and not used for at least 100 years. Vintage 1950's Nash Kelvinator Butter Chest. This was sold as an accessory for the Kelvinator Refrigerator. In good. Clean condition. It measures 5" high, 5" wide and 9" long. It has a dial to set the heat to hard or soft. This little chest would plug inside of the refrigerator and you would set the heat level to keep your pound of butter at the proper temperature for baking needs. It features a spring hinge, cord is apx 5 1/2" long, interior is aluminum.
