The chair shown is offered elsewhere in our collection Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably preserved English Chippendale Period Kneehole Desk. Circa 1740-50. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk, just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. Appearing to be part of the frame design, but actually pulls outward smoothly as an extra hand dovetailed drawer. This is a unique addition for the craftsman to make, as many of these knee hole desks are without such innovations. The wide top drawer pulls out to reveal a full dust shelf. Primitive Old Wood Three Drawer Childs Chest / Apothecary Jewelry Box Old Paint
This is a very nice old wood three drawer childs chest. Apothecary or jewelry box. It has old white paint on it and scalloped edges on the bottom in the front and the sides as seen in the pictures. The box is in very good condition with no chips but the top does have a tight crack in the back. It also looks like the back of the box may have been replaced at one time. The chest or box measures 14 1/2" across the front, is 7 1/2" deep from the front to the back and stands 11 1/2" tall. The top of the box measures 15" long x 8" wide. All three drawers are all in very good condition and have old metal pulls. They are constructed by the corners being notched together and are ribbed in the front as seen in the pictures. Including the key hole covers are original.As you can see the hardware is the icing on this cake! The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made.The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All of the drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Many coats of hand ... morerubbed varnish.When you rub your hands over the finish you will feel the superb depth and notice the beauty of the amazing maple grains. This is a"bonnet top" dresser meaning the top two drawers protrude and overhand the lower level drawers. The sides have great architectural design with the paneled construction.Like any fine antique. This piece has minor imperfections and character marks in the wood. The posts which hold the drawer handle in place are brass plated steel, some of the plating has worn off after 135 plus years.The photos show casters in the legs, they will not be included.I find they tend to split the legs.There is a knot depression on the upper left side(see photo) I think it adds character and figuring just like the top of the dresser. American Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Lowboy over Trifid Feet After the original period works of Philadelphia and Chester County. Pennsylvania Probably crafted during the mid-to-late 19th Century Item# 130102YTP18 This is a simply gorgeous American Pennsylvania Chippendale(Style) Lowboy Antique Chest of Drawers crafted in solid walnut. While every detail is careful executed in the manner of the original works. We believe this piece was actually crafted nearly one-hundred years after the period during the mid-to-late 19th Century. It features a fine two board top, the majority being a single solid plank with only the last few inches at the back being crafted of a second joined board, the grain selected carefully and quite fine. The edge has a carved quarter-round molding of the solid, scalloping at each front corner, projecting generously ... moreover the chest. Three small drawers rest above the deeply serpentine apron, each joined front and back with fine scored dovetails, the bottom deeply chamfered and rabbeting into the sides, period Queen Anne hardware on each drawer face. The apron around the entire table is noteworthy: bold. Flowing, inspiring, the overall flow of the skirt gives incredible lift to the table. It gives robustness to the form, the lines active and dancing, the table looking poised for action. The three-scrolled form of the apron matches the trifid form of the foot, almost matching it's proportional flow. The legs are carved of a single solid piece of walnut from the table top to the foot, the sides of the table tenoned into the top of the leg and pegged symmetrically before curving in bold knees over fine cabriole form. This American Chippendale Lowboy is above reproach. A simply outstanding piece for a serious collector of benchmade works not concerned with the period of craftmanship. While not of the period, it has garnered a very fine patina in the shellac finish, the wood with a light oxidization throughout, the pine and poplar deeply oxidized and with great character in the finish. It is large and heavy and would be a perfect storage box for those who love to sew or do crafts. It has four doors on the top. The ones on the side open and there are 12 pegs for storing spools of thread. One side only has 11. From there, you can open up the side compartments which are expandable and foldout. There are two drawers under each of the thread holders. In the center are two deep drawers so there's lots of room to store all sorts of items. There is a handle for easy carrying. I love the dovetail corners and the peg feet! It is large and measures 19 inches wide. 12 inches tall and 10 inches deep. It is stamped Romania on the bottom. It is in good condition. Here for sale is an old iron lock with its original working key suitable to use on an old pine blanket box or trunk. It measures 3 1/2 inches wide. 2 1/2 inches high and 3/4 inch depth. The measurement from the top face to the centre of the key is 1 1/4 inch. The key measures 2 5/8 inches long. The main body of the lock housing the workings is 7/16 inch thick. The top face is 3/4 inch. Please note. The receiver isn't the original to the lock. It fits fine but when locked it doesn't lock tight. I have taked a picture of it upside down to show the small gap when locked.

This old machinists or dental box was a recent estate purchase. It was found in central Illinois on a farm that was having a sale. I was told that it belonged to a cash register repair man.cool. I thought it was a medical case and hoped it was full when I picked it up.sadly I was told it only had springs and gears in it at one time. This item is 14" by 10" by 8" deep. It is leather wrapped with metal corner guards. The leather is nice with normal signs of use here and there.nothing major. The lock does not work and that area shows signs of being pried open. VERY OLD TYPE 042 RARE 11 DRAWER GERSTNER OAK TOOL CHEST
Harry Gerstner started his business using a $100 bonus he was paid for a four year apprentice. To this day. The Gerster Tool company is managed by descendants of Harry. Gerstner chests have always been made of wood, as they believe the wood absorbs moisture and protects the tools from rust. Hand tools are still used in the fitting of drawers and front lids. The final inspection and adjustment processes are all hand work, and Gerstner offers a reconditioning service to this day. This chest was a working chest. I have made no effort to clean it or pretty it up, as you can see by the dust in the photo. There is no water damage, and the eye the wood matches(the photographs are taken with a cheap camera, and I just can't make the wood look like it does to the eye) This chest is solid. Vintage UNION Machinist / Tool & Die Makers Oak 7 Drawer Tool Chest
Here I have an antique tool chest that I purchased several years ago to keep my wristwatches in. What I like about this model compared to others is that three of the drawers are partitioned. I've taken as many pictures as I possibly can to give an accurate description. The conditions are as follows: the mirror under the lid has a crack along the bottom the finish is worn on both sides. However there are no cracks anywhere in the wood I'm assuming that the"L" hooks along the upper inside of the lid were put there by the previous owner two of the latches(both the front right and the right side) are worn inside so that they don't snap shut the screw under the lock was obviously put there to make it easier to align the front cover(includes one brass key) the felt is naturally worn throughout. One side has the brazed on threaded stud stripped so it doesn't hold the nut to keep it tight.
