I am unsure of the exact age of the desk. It is most likely a 1970's reproduction of an 18th Century Georgian Design. It has beautifully carved ball and claw feet, and chunky cabiole legs that are also carved at the knees. This desk has five (5) substantial drawers with the original brass bail pull handles, and five (5) faux drawer fronts on the back side also with brass bail pull handles. The drawers have dove tail joints. The desk was in front of a window for years, and therefore the finish on the back side is a bit faded.

Library Bureau File Catalog Index/Receipe/Paper/Whatever You Like Box: Two Draw Oak Estimate Age: 1910-1920 Greetings ebay viewers! Today I am offering an original"Library Bureau Makers" File Oak Box. This box is a two draw desk library index card box used in libraries. Office buildings, police stations, and secretary rooms during the early 20 th century. Both draws have the appropriate patent list decals with the last patented date being May 26th. 1903 which would placethis box around 1910-1920. This box is around or over 100 years old. The(what looks to me) original finish is two tone medium shade although the finish has faded a bit and of course shows it’s age a little being its around 100 years old. I have oiled and waxed this cabinet and it looks great even with the finish faded a tad; however it can easily be refinished if ... moredesired(although I do not recommend as its notbad at all, and its good to keep the original finish) The box shows no signs of oak rip. Tears, missing wood, warping. Just a few normal wood knicks here and there. One draw has a custome wood attached/added backstop(see picture five- left draw) that can be removed by pulling out the little two nails; The tab holders and pull handles are brass(copper and Zinc) Thebrass is dirty from age, but can easily be shinned up with brasso however I will leave that up to the buyer(I had originally choose not too keep itlooking old) This library box also has that old wood library smell too it. I am selling this box simply because I have too many vintage oak boxes(including one identical to this) and really just don’t need another one. Once again thisis the oak version of the Library Bureau file box, and not the similar selling metal version which can rust(as rust is known too do with age) I would recommend cleaning this box regularly as with any oak product with any wood shinner youwould use to clean your coffee table, dinner table, etc, to keep the wood cleanand sharp looking. The covers of the volume have some expected wear and tear, but the maps themselves are for the most part in excellent condition. It's interesting to trace the movement of great weather patterns across the US from day to day over a century ago! This is an example of some of the beautiful designed souvenir items made for the Columbian Exposition. It was put out by the U.S. Department of agriculture. It shows the explanations of weather and temperature flags and wind signals used at that time. This is made on a hard cardboard stock and is almost mint condition other than a slight bend on the lower right corner of the back page. The graphics of this and other advertising and souvenir items are magnificent to collect. Check my other Columbian items I am selling. From time to time I will be selling more items from my World's Columbian Exposition Collection. The World's Columbian Exposition was held in Chicago Illinois in 1893. Dn October 1892 the on the top of this badge Dedications of the Buildings took place in the largest building in the world at that time. The manufactures ... moreand Liberal Arts Building. Over 100,000 people attended the dedication inside the Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building. The Exposition had exhibits such as locomotives and huge guns brought all the way from Europe. Exhibits of people in their native habitat were set up on the Midway which extended from the main Fair grounds. It was 600 feet wide and one mile long. In its center was the first Ferris Wheel. Each car could hold 60 people. There were 36 cars for a total capacity of 2160 passengers. They could ride for 50 cents and get a great view of the Fair and Chicago. Over 27 million people from all over the world attended this Exposition who attended from May 1. To October 30, 1893. It was one of the greatest event in history. For sale is a Iowa Farm Bureau member tin sign. It comes as pictured. The sign is slightly crinkled and has a few rust spots. I have no idea the age of the sign but original and nothing made recently. It has a picture of the state of Iowa w IFBF and AFBF on the sign. It also says E.L. Van SYOC. The sign has a crink in the bottom left corner and is slightly elevated as pictured on the side. Has some rust mostly on the edges and back. Jut a little bit on the main scene but doesn't stand out too much.

An old unused State of New Jersey Navigation Bureau elevation marker. Appears to be a bronze like metal and measures about 3& 1/2" high/wide and weighs 13 ounces. No idea on the age of this. Was purchased 18 years ago from a man who did estate sales here in Ocean County New Jersey. I have seen official geological elevation markers such as this pounded into solid rock atop the mountain in High Point New Jersey with the elevation scribed into it. This Auction is for An Antique Empire Period Doll Dresser. It stands approx. 29 inches high X 16 inches wide X 9 inches deep. Bureau has two deep drawers with wooden knobs. All is original on this piece. You can see at some point in time the mirror must of split in two and another piece of wood was added. Piece has a very dark walnut stain. This is a great antique 2-drawer card catalog! Both the cabinet and the drawer fronts are beautifully dovetailed. Both drawers slide easily and can be completely removed from the outside cabinet. Outside measurements are approximately. 141/2 inches deep. 13 inches wide, and 5 inches tall. The brass plate saying"Library Bureau Sole Makers" is in really good condition as are the brass drawer pulls. A metal adjustable card-slide is included in each drawer. This beautiful solid-pine clerks desk was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890 and recently imported to our antique furniture store here in Atlanta. GA, USA. The pine displays a wonderful grain and rich complexion, both complemented by a lovely patina that will continue to grow more beautiful with each successive generation. This clerks desk provides a generous amount of storage space for its size, with two external drawers and a top that opens to reveal an interior desk space with tongue-in-groove paneling. The dark green leather, although not in the prime condition it ... moreonce enjoyed over a century ago, provides a smooth, elegant writing surface that is far superior to wood, glass or metal. Each drawer features solid-brass pulls and hand-cut dovetails. They also retain brass escutcheons but these do not, unfortunately, house functioning locks and the piece does not retain the original key. Some time ago the legs were damaged and the feet were sawed off, and each leg now shows signs of that damage in the form of significant cracks and chips; nevertheless the piece remains sturdy. This elegant Victorian pine clerks desk would certainly make a fantastic addition to any home furniture collection! This charming pine clerks desk was crafted in Victorian England around the year 1890. The two large drawers and slanted top open to reveal an impressive amount of storage space. This clerks desk looks great from any angle. Shown here is the opposite side. The black leather has sustained some wear. Including a bit of separation between it and the wood.
