The desk comes with four raised panel dove tail drawers that retain all the original hardware. The center where the legs go have a reverse cove carving, which I have never seen in oak. It has a scallop bottom trim base, raised panels all the way around and a wide bevel edge on the solid tiger sawn oak top. The only negatives I see on the desk is that there is a little wear on the edge of the top from rubbing against something and there is a split going down the center of the top. We most likely could pull the top off and repair the top, which wouldn’t make a huge difference, but it is an expensive repair. The desk itself is high end quality.

I now intend to diversify into world currency collecting ie Bank Notes. Having made this decision I intend to sell a large part of my certificate collection. French Louis XV Style Bureau Plat Ormolu Mounted Leather Top Writing Desk
This amazing French Louis XV Writing Table Desk was an estate find. It looks to be wood veneer with an intricate black leather inlay with gold guilt edging. The desk is lined with heavy brass embellishments along the edges and has ormolu mounts. The front has 3 locking drawers with the keys for each one and they work fine. The desk has faux drawers on the side and backside. So that it can be a centerpiece in the room. The finish and leather look to be in very good condition, some of the brass on the legs has come loose and may just need to be nailed in(one is slightly bent) I'm not sure of the age, it looks old, but I am not sure if it is an antique. please refer to photos on the underside of the desk and of the dove tail drawers. Old Antique Wardrobe Armoires Dresser Bureau 1930-1950
This is in really bad shape. Structurally it is good. Missing a piece at the bottom. I believe it is called a kick plate. The unit itself is in good shape structurally. It has really bad scuffs and dings here and there. Has outer veneer, and in missing big sections on both sides. I saved this from the trash, thinking, one mans junk is another mans treasure. The covers and hinges are VG and the leaves are tightly bound. NO soiling. Stains, marks etc. on the leaves or pages. One of the color folding geology maps was bound upside down by the printer. The maps are all VG+ with several tiny closed tears in the edges. Light scuffing of the back strip and light wear to the boards. Each leaf has 3 tiny holes near the gutter because before it was bound by the library it was probably bound in paper wrappers using thread. The book was never put into circulation by the library.

VINTAGE FARM BUREAU FEEDS SACK-Augusta Co. VA Augusta Cooperative Farm Bureau 100 LBS. NET Bag This is an original feed sack that once held 100 pounds of feed manufactured by Augusta Cooperative Farm Bureau with their main office in Staunton and other locations in Weyers Cave. Waynesboro, Fairfield and Stuarts Draft in Virginia. The sack measures about 24" x 38" has very readable printing on one side only and still retains the original stitching across the bottom and up the sides. It is made of burlap and excellent graphics in green, red and blue showing two horses, a cow, a pig and a chicken in a pasture with a barn and silo in the background. The Augusta Cooperative Farm Bureau is still in existence today and trades under the name of Augusta Coop. They provide fee d and grain for cattle. Sheep, goats, horses, chickens, pigs, llamas ... moreand even fish in farm ponds. This feed bag is an excellent piece of history to add to your collection. The upper bookcase sits on the lower unit comprising of two drawers over one cabinet door. Hand crafted custom cabinetry from the early 1900s. These are from one of the most prominent 19th century pharmacies in New York City who's proprietor is known as"the father of modern pharmacy" and founded the Pharmacy Board of New York. Fantastic mid century chest. Attributed to Charles Webb, with four drawers. Wood has a beautiful honey-toned finish and looks like oak. Clean, simple lines characteristic of mid-century modern design. This high-quality, well-made piece features drawers with dovetail joints and solid wood construction. Unsure of exact age. No maker's mark. Overall. The chest is in good condition, however it does have some wear as a result of age and use, including minor dings at the corners and light scratching and discoloration to the top. See pictures. An old unused State of New Jersey Navigation Bureau elevation marker. Appears to be a bronze like metal and measures about 3& 1/2" high/wide and weighs 13 ounces. No idea on the age of this. Was purchased 18 years ago from a man who did estate sales here in Ocean County New Jersey. I have seen official geological elevation markers such as this pounded into solid rock atop the mountain in High Point New Jersey with the elevation scribed into it. This is a nice bound volume of the United States Department of Agriculture Weather Bureau daily US weather maps covering the period January 1 through Jaune 30. 1901. That means you are getting 180+ maps in this volume! Volume itself measures about 20 by 24 inches; and the map pages themselves measure about 19 by 23 1/2 inches. The covers of the volume have some expected wear and tear, but the maps themselves are for the most part in excellent condition. It's interesting to trace the movement of great weather patterns across the US from day to day over a century ago! I am sure you map dealers will see the possibility of'breaking up' this volume and selling the pages individually. Here's a unique find right from the estate sale. This is a solid brass tool check token from the 1930's from either the Hoover Dam or Boulder Dam projects. probably both) It has been in dry storage, not dug up, so has a nice original patina. I'm sure not many of these vintage collectibles have survived. This is like a piece of folk art that measures 1 1/2" in diameter, slightly larger than a silver dollar) The actual color is more golden, not slightly greenish as pictured.
