ANTIQUE ART DECO VANITY MIRROR Upright, Easel, Corn Stalk & Leaves Frame, 1920s
Listed for your consideration is a vintage. Or antique oval mirror, framed in two stalks with leaves. The mirror is designed to stand on a dresser or vanity and has a standing easel. The easel is sturdy and has a guard, to protect it from bending too far back and breaking. The whole item measures 18-1/2 inches x 14-1/2 inches. The mirror alone measures 16 inches x 11-1/2 inches. The mirror is ART DECO. From the period of the 1920s-1930s. The detailed frame of the mirror is made of a carved wood, designed to look like the large leaves of corn stalks curling up along either side of the frame. The crossing of the stalks forms the base of the frame. Very original, very unique! Whimsical! Folksy! Stylish! Everything is original. Including the mirrorl. It is beveled along the entire outer edge and is in very good condition overall, however it does ... morehave some small areas of discoloration due to loss of silvering at the back, but not enough to require resilvering, as some old mirrors do. Fortunately, the darkened areas are limited to the edges, and do not interfere with the center of the mirror. There is a string at the back of the mirror for easy hanging. Although that was a later addition and not part of the original plan. The frame of the mirror is wood. With some paint and gilt. It is in very good condition, no cracks, no repairs, but there is some edgewear to the wood. The brown, felt back is attached to the frame with six small screws, easily removeable in order to access the mirror, if desired, for cleaning. Non-smoking environment. No odors. Clean. This is a truly unusual vintage Art Deco black and brushed chrome double-sided beveled glass vanity hand mirror. It has a great Art Deco look about it. It is probably from the 1930s or 1940s. It has a standard mirror on both sides. When I first looked at it I was convinced it was bakelite. But it doesn't pass the"rub and smell test. It is in great condition with virtually no damage except for a couple of tiny dents on the chrome. But they're barely noticeable. The mirror has no marks or blemishes. It is marked with the company name Jewelite and the number 515 on the handle. It is also stamped U. S. A. right near that. Vintage NUDE WOMAN Finial ART DECO Trinket Vanity Powder Jar Satin Glass
From an estate. Is this vintage or antique satin or frosted glass trinket jar featuring a Nude Lady. She is sitting on the lid against deco style pillars. The jar is diamond shaped with flat corners. Marked"Pat. Applied For. Sorry, I do not know who made this or exactly when, but I'm guessing 1920's by the art deco design. The jar measures about 4 1/2" tall to the top of the finial x 4 7/8" long x 3 3/4" wide. The bottom has scratches on the inside, probably from cleaning. The top has a few small chips and fleabites which I have photographed for you, so please look them over. From the outside, you can't find any flaws. A rare piece, as I was not able to find another just like it.

Each piece of this delicately crafted set has an eye-catching guilloche enamel pattern in this rare Art Deco copper colour. Which radiates like a sunrise. This is an effect that a skilled craftsman achieves by finely engraving the metal underneath the enamel and then decorating it with a thin layer of guilloche enamel. In addition. The larger pieces of mirror, hairbrush and clothes ... morebrush have a lovely black enamel setting on the handles along with finials on the ends all in the Art Deco style– please see the photos for the detail. The silver metal is probably chrome plated. The brown leather suitcase and copper-coloured guilloche enamel pieces are complemented by a satin-lined brown interior. Which has the same radiating waves pattern of the guilloche enamel. There are pockets on each side and attachment straps also in brown leather with press studs to hold the pieces in place. The larger pieces are mounted on the satin lined interior. The set consists of: a mirror; a hairbrush; a clothes brush; a comb; four bottles and three manicure pieces. One small manicure piece is missing. The case has two lock fastenings but no keys– although these should be easy to replace. It carries the initials lightly stamped and painted of gothic letters AMB– these should be easy to remove. MEASUREMENTS: The suitcase is 45cm in length; 31cm in width and 15cm in depth. It is large for a vanity or dressing/grooming set and is the size of a weekend suitcase. Vintage Art Deco Hand/vanity Mirror (bakelite/lucite/celluloid/acwalite ?)
Beautiful vintage art deco hand/vanity mirror. The name of the manufacturer( on the inside of the handle is"Aristo du jour" I am not absolutely certain of the material but think either bakelite. Lucite, acwalite, or celluloid. It is a green marblish finish. As you can see from my different pictures the color of the mirror appears to vary some-which is due to the lighting in the two different places I photographed the mirror. It is closer to the color of pictures 2-4 when you zoom in on them. The mirror is in good condition with only two very minor slightly blurred places(the larger of the two certainly being smaller than a dime) These do not interfere with the reflection. The color is a cherry stain with some scalloping on the top. The base is also wood and is oblong with simple trim work. The mirror is pretty clear, with minimal scratching and appears to be solid. The mirror is slightly uncentered and it also appears to be beveled(showing on one side. CONDITION: Antique. The date is unknown. But guessing Ca early 1900's to 1920s. I am not an expert and the date could be all wrong. The wood is in good condition, solid with no apparent breaks. There are some scratches. The mirror will NOT stand up on its own, very rarely it will, meaning the swivel mechanism keeps swinging the mirror backwards. I'm sure this can be repaired somehow. This is my great grandfathers and grandmothers bedroom set. It is from the late 20s. The dresser and vanity are in nice shape. There is a tiny bit of trim missing from the top right corner of the vanity. You can see it in the pictures. The full size bed holds a queen size mattress. As I show in my pictures. There is some water damage to the left front footboard, as you can see in the pictures, the veneer is lifting off a bit. A good wood person could repair this. There you go. Vintage Art Deco Blue Mirror Vanity Dresser Tray 8 Sided Bevel Cut
This is an Art Deco blue mirror. Eight-sided polygon, measuring 16” by 9” by 1/4” thick. The edge is only slightly beveled with the bevel polished to a satin finish. It has old green felt on the back which protected the dresser or table and which possibly causes the mirror image to be a bit hazy. However. This may be typical of blue mirrors. See photos. I have photographed one corner nick and one place with a bit of silver loss at the edge. But overall you will see the remaining edges have minimal wear and there is only miniscule wear on the glass surface itself. Will ship double boxed and insured.

Lot of Antique Art Deco Sterling Grooming Brushes for Vanity by Saart Brothers
This is an antique set of grooming brushes in the Art Deco style. Perfect for a vanity. The shells of the clothing brushes and the comb are made of sterling silver by the Saart Brothers silver company. All of the pieces are in very good condition. I did not polish these pieces, and you can see in the photographs there is some tarnishing to the sterling. The clothing brush bristles are made of nylon and I believe the comb is made of plastic. The measurements of these grooming brushes are as follows; the clothing brush is 4 3/8" long. 3" wide and 1 3/8" tall, the comb is 6 7/8" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1/4" thick. Very nice condition. One small spot on the finish on the wood tray is worn. You can see it in the picture. The mirror shows age. Not chipped or cracked. You can see faint blotches that are typical of old mirrors but does not affect looking in it or the appearance.Most of what you see in the mirror is reflection. I believe the base is oak but my husband is away and he usually confirms for me. I know its a hard wood. Not pine. It has a nice brown finish. The Mirror is beveled. It stand just under 12" tall and wide. There is a place to put you cuff links.Tie clips ect. It looks like a Men's Vanity mirror but It looks beautiful on any dresser, even a woman's. Vintage Art Deco Porcelain Bathroom Fixture. Fixture measures 5 1/2" tall by 3 3/4" wide and is 3" deep(Wall to top of fitter) Needs a shade to fit 2 1/4" fitter. Light works as does the pull chain switch. The outlet also works but since it is not grounded I would recommend not connecting it. There is a tight 3/4" hair line to one side and a manufacturing flaw by the outlet. This is a flaw. Not a chip that has been glued. Knob on the pull chain it original porcelain. From a prominent Hampton N.Y. estate sale we found these lovely art deco vanity perfume bottles.Lids are silver the ones that are marked have 935 on it which is purer than sterling. Center bottle 4" Tall 2 7/8" wide end bottles 2 3/8"tall 2 1/4" wide. All of the tops are monogrammed and have dings the left end bottle has a flea bite. These do date to the 1930s and are still around. Glass on center bottled is facilitated on edges and the end ones have rounded off edging. WE DO COMBINE SHIP WHEN EVER POSSIBLE! Antiqu e and vintage items may have patina from age and previously wear.It is not considered damage and we do not point it out as it is expected. ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU DECO CELLULOID BAKELITE VANITY SET RHINESTONE FLAPPER YELLOW
This yellow and blue 3 piece vanity set dates back to the late 20s or early 1930's and is in good condition for its age. It is made out of celluloid and is set with blue crystal rhinestones on its edges. The tray measures 9 7/8 inches long by 6 1/4 wide. The brush is 9.5 inches long by 2.25 inches wide and the bottle is 4 7/8 inches high by 1 7/8 inches wide. There are no missing stones in any of the pieces, but the celluloid is dull or scratched in some spots. There would have once been an atomizer on the perfume bottle, but sadly it is gone now.
