Vintage Dupont Lucite Celluloid Art Deco Dresser Vanity Set
Item up for auction This is a nice vintage DuPont Lucite dresser set. All pieces are light green with a blue. Gold and mustard design. All of the pieces are marked: DuPont Lucite. The set includes a beveled hand mirror, stiff bristle hair brush and trinket box. The base of the trinket box is made of a blue green opaque glass. The mirror measures approximately 14 1/2 inches by 5 inches; the brush is about 9 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches; the trinket box is about 5 inches by 3 3/4 inches. The mirror has a few fog spots and there are 3 spill spots on the lid of the trinket box. Overall the set is in good vintage condition. Art Deco New Haven Celluloid Dresser Clock. Had it running for two days and it kept good time. Has some condition issues. There is a crack in the celluloid on the back of the clock and it looks like the base was re-glued in the back.see photo 5) This clock is likely from the late 1920's to the early 30's. In March.1946- The Company changed it;s name to New Haven Clock and Watch Company. In 1956 the company filed bankruptcy and by 1960 they were out of business.

This gorgeous chest I found as a diamond in the rough. When I acquired it the original shellac finish was so opaque you could not see any of the flame mahogany on the drawer fronts.I was delighted to find the beautiful maple and flame mahogany woods under the old finish.The side panels are gorgeous mahogany veneers.I restore antiques and customize furniture. I knew this piece had great lines and bones. The requirements for greatness. I think you will agree that the customizing makes for a stunning masterpiece.This chest has a large feel and commanding presence.This is a first class chest all the way, down to every detail. I restored this classic chest from top to bottom. Including all of the drawers being taken apart and re-glued and clamped, new drawer slides custom made as needed.The drawers slide beautifully.The drawers are all full depth ... morefor maximum storage and dovetail joinery(the best on the market)This heavy dresser rolls perfectly on metal casters. The entire dresser was hand scrapped(no stripper) and carefully the finish was restored using many, many coats of hand rubbed polyurethane for a gorgeous rich finish which brings out all of the beautiful woods.The satin black oil finish was then covered in a clear polymer giving it tremendous depth and beauty. The top surface has a wood grain texture, and with the custom black finish it look like leather, it is very unique. The following are the custom additions. This is a vintage pink depression glass vanity set art deco style of celluloid and glass. The tray has two layers of glass in which flowers. Pictures, locks of hair or(in this case, lace) can be framed. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks, but the design on the top is worn off in some places. Lovely display piece. Vintage art deco celluloid dresser set,Tuskeloid, outstanding painted design
This is a wonderful vintage art deco 5 piece dresser set signed Tuskeloid. It consists of a hand held mirror. A dresser jar with cover, a hair jar, a hairbrush with a handle and and elongated hair brush. All of the pieces have a beautiful painted design- a flower basket with lots of embellishment. I believe the brushes are horsehair brushes. The 2 jars and the elongated brush are in excellent condition. The hand held brush has a few gaps in the paint that edges the shape of the brush. The mirror face is great; the back has a ring shaped stain on it and the paint that edges its shape is mostly rubbed off. For its age, it really is in amazing condition. William Greenwood& Sons. Each piece is covered with an exquisite guilloche enameling. This brilliant blue enamel is translucent to reveal the delicate machine turnings on the underlying sterling silver. The set includes: Hand mirror: 11 3/8 inches long 2 large brushes: 9 3/4 inches long 2 small brushes: 6 inches long Each piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver. The anchor for the city of Birmingham, the date letter G for 1931, and a makers mark of WG&S for William Greenwood& Sons. The set is in great condition overall with only a few minor flaws as we have pointed out in the ... morephotographs. One of the large brushes and one of the small brushes each have a small amount of loss to the blue enameling. But as you can see in the photos this is quite minor, and both losses are on the edge which is the least noticeable. In addition, the mirror has a small dent to the top edge as shown. This is not very noticeable. Otherwise, the condition is excellent. The mirror still has the original beveled glass. You are looking at an exquisite hand-painted. Art Deco, 4-piece ladies dresser set. The set is backstamped with the Silesia tent mark, dating manufacture to the early 1920s. The color is a light cream-gold with hand-painted gold decoration. The gold decoration is in beautiful shape. Even on the bottom of the hair receiver. This gorgeous set will be a prized display for any collection. The tray is 10" x 7" the hatpin holder is 5" tall; and the hair receiver is 3.5" in diameter x 1.75" tall. Center section is a red velvet approx. 3.25 x 5.75. The side pieces are approx. 2.25 x 2.5 x 5 deep. This piece is perfect as a dresser accent or use your own imagination. Hard to see in pictures. Here is a Set of 5 Vintage Drawer Pulls and 2 Matching round knobs. They were removed from an old Art Deco WATERFALL style wardrobe that was in very poor condition. The 5 pulls fit drawers with 4 inches between the 2 screw holes. They each consist of a thin curved piece of orange Bakelite which fits into a piece of antique gold finished Metal. They measure 5 inches long x 1 7/8” high. Likewide the round knobs have a piece of Bakelite in the center and measure 1 inch in diameter. Condition is all 7 pieces is Excellent with no cracks or breaks just some wear to the gold finish. All of the screws that you need to install them are included. The Chest dates to around the 1920s- 1930s and the Style is Classic- remaining a Perennial Favorite to this Day! The Chest has the Handsomest Tiger Oak Grain in both of the upper doors. Below the Dovetail Constructed Drawers have what appear to be replacement Drawer Pulls. The Drawer Interiors all also feature Quarter Round Wood on the Interior Sides and Center Support Bars. There are no maker's marks nor labels that we could find. One thing is for sure.

You are bidding on a set of 12 brass drawer pulls/handles. These have an art deco look and are used and worn and either can be used for a distressed look or can be refinished. You get 8 that are about 5 1/4" long with 4 1/4" between the screws. And 4 that are 2" long with a 1 3/8" screw space. Buyer to please pay within 4 days of end of auction.
