The washstand is made of oak; almost a tiger ... morestyle oak. Finished in a dark wood stain/tone. The top panel has serpentine front and sides, and the top drawer has a serpentine front. There are 2 additional pull-out drawers and a cabinet/cupboard below the top drawer. All metal pulls are original to the piece and are very ornate. Framed panels on both sides and on the backside. Some wear to the finish on top; previous owner used it as a sewing table/sewing storage. This is a well preserved washstand. Great to use now as a small chest or storage piece. Small enough for a hallway or bathroom, great for a bedroom, family room, or entryway. Unique decorative wood and finish make it a great practical accent piece.
