The stand has machine turned legs, and towel bars at the sides that attach to a custom shaped trim work that runs across the back. This trim work is at most 5" above the top of the stand. The top of the stand is 28.5" tall, 33" tall at the top of the raised towel bars, is 28.5" long across the back from bar to bar, and 18.75" wide front to back, including the trim. The bottom shelf has a small area at the far right front where it looks like the wood may have been broken and repaired, or at least cracked. I am unsure of the type of wood that the stand is made from, but it looks like Cherry to me.

Local Pick up. Antique. This was on my Grandmother's farm. Maybe before her, as she was born on the farm in 1910. It appears to have wood dowels holding it together, dove tail draw, and old back. I doubt if the pulls are original as they really used their furniture on the farm, but the pull do look old too. ANTIQUE VINTAGE ? WASH BASIN AND CHAMBER POT STAND WITH BOWL AND WATER PITCHER
I have put two separate pieces together here to come up with an amazing listing. I acquired the chamber bowl and water pitcher at an estate auction. It was listed as an 1896 Maddock& Sons chamber pitcher and bowl. The markings on both the bowl and pitcher are the same. John Maddock& Sons, Royal Vitreous, England. What I question is the 1896 as both the pitcher and bowl are in beautiful condition. I do not see any crazing and there are not cracks or chips. There are scuff marks on the bowl from the bottom of the pitcher but that is to be expected. The stand is structurally sound with one small issue with a crack in the wood on the towel rack. I have included a picture to show the damage. The stand also has some errant painting spills, although they are small they needed to be identified. Another pictures show these spots. White paint ... moreon the candle holder and inside the towel rack with some purple on the base where the chamber pot is placed I did have to replace the cracked mirror which looked as if it had been previously replaced before. The piece is easy to ship as it comes apart and assemblies without any tools. I will include a few pictures to ad in the assembly. The marble doesn't look like it was ever polished, but it was dug up next to an old barn that was falling down, so it may just be worn and weathered. It measures about 21 1/2" long. And 6" tall and about 3/4" thick. It has a beveled edge as you can see in the first picture. The last picture is of the back. I don't see any visible cracks or major flaws. There is what looks like a rust stain that measures about 1 1/2" long, the darker spots that you can see, and a textured, unpolished surface. Beautiful Antique Wash Stand With Mirror Made in North Carolina!
This antique wash stand was made in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It measures 34 inches tall to the top of the stand beneath the mirror. And it is 36 inches wide. The mirror has a few spots that have black showing through, but it is in otherwise good condition. It needs to be refinished, it is a great example of early 20th century furniture. Stunning Antique Victorian 19th Century Doulton Burslem Wash Stand Bowl Blues
Stunning Antique Victorian 19th Century Doulton Burslem Wash Stand Bowl Blues I had an opportunity to go down state Illinois recently for the homecoming of my Alma Mater and shopped the wonderful sales. Barn sales and antique shops along the way. I have a huge variety of oldees for you this week- from 19th century primitives to 1950s kitsch- there’s something for everyone! This one is a show stopper. What I have is a late 19th century wash stand bowl marked on the bottom by the maker. Doulton Burslem. The mark dates the piece to between 1886, when the company added the crown to the mark(to commemorate the appointment of Henry Doulton as"Potter to H.R.H. The Prince of Wales" to 1891, when the word England was added to the bottom of the mark- which this one does not have. I do not know what the patten is called, but it is gorgeous ... morein white and shades of blue that are accented with gold, and with what I think looks like a a sponged on gold accent all around the body of the bowl. The rim of the bowl has a fancy scrolly pattern and is topped off with a border of the gold. The bowl also has an impressed mark on the underside that I'm showing in photo 14- I cannot read it, though. This is a large bowl- big enough to hold a pitcher that I do not have. I'm betting you could add your own pitcher, or just display and use the bowl as it is, because it is gorgeous. During the holidays I have a similar blue and white transferware bowl that I fill with pine cones and berries branches for a lovely statement table centerpiece. The bowl measures 15 5/8" diameter and stands 5 1/8" tall. It weighs a hefty 6 3/4 lbs. It is in amazing condition for its age. You can see crazing that is light all over. In photo 6, you can see an old dried piece of masking tape that was on the bowl that had what looked like parts of pen and ink writing on it(a family note, perhaps? I didn't remove it for my photos, but decided to go ahead and take it off here in my office because I wanted to make sure that there was no dam

Antique Dry Sink, Cabinet, Cupboard, Small Chest, Wash Stand
This is a great little cabinet/dry sink/cupboard etc. That is so versatile. It is made of wood- I think it is mahogany- and comes with a marble top and back splash. The cabinet has one long top drawer and two narrower drawers down the left side, with a cupboard door on the right side. My family used it as a small bar- but the possibilities are endless! The chest itself is in great structural condition- dovetailed drawers are secure. All handles are present, and hinges on door are fine. Thnere is a piece of trim on the door that has some damage- I'm not sure if it is original to the piece, but it can be easily replaced. The marble top and backsplash have some marks. I do not know how to remove these safely, so have not tried. Both the top and backsplash are not secured to the cabinet, and for the most part, the cabinet was used with only ... morethe top. In the photographs, the back splash is just leaning against the wall. Antique Hand Painted Yellow Wash Stand Circa 1870's-80's This wonderful bright yellow hand painted pine wash stand has a floral accent painted on the back splat and bottom drawer front. It also has a dark brown hand painted pin stripe bordering the whole piece to accentuate it's lovely shape including the slightly bowed out front top shelf. It has two candle shelves in the top corners, two tiers, one drawer and nicely turned legs. The drawer is hand chamfered and dovetailed. It stands 36 1/2 inches from floor to the top of the back splat, 20 1/2 inches wide, 17 inches deep and is in very tight structural condition and the paint condition has already been pointed out in the previous description. The stand is a lighter oak finish. The four legged stands are more sturdy and structurally sound but as they are used for home accent decor that really does not detract from the three legged stands. The corner has a small split but is hidden well by the bowl. A few pictures are included to show this. The pitcher and bowl are not original to this stand as they are pretty new. There are no makers marking on either the pitcher or bowl. The pitcher has a small chip on the very bottom. Almost completely hidden until its turned over. The stand measures 53" tall and 22" wide. This is about 52" tall, and 18"x18" I have no idea as to the age of this piece, most everyone on Ebay claims theirs to be old or antique. I acquired this in the last 20 years from the 100+ year old hotel in Golconda, IL. It has been known as the Riverview hotel, and in later years, the Mansion. I will let the buyer decide about the age. Please note the bowl and pitcher do not actually fit the shape of the wood properly, and both items have been damaged, with the bowl repair being easy to see in the last picture. Howdy Folks! Shorty Here! You won't believe what I have acquired now! Buried half way underground at an auction was an. Intriguing OLD cast iron cauldron with personality! If only this cauldron could talk O Boy the stories it might tell. It may have. Been used at a cowboy round up. Or a pioneer camp. What about a witch ritual or a gypsy camp? Okay I know it. Just might have been and old soap making pot but my stories are better. The cauldron hangs on a heavy stand which enables the pot to be tipped for pouring. Unfortunately someone put a few holes in the bottom to plant flowers in so it can be used in the yard for landscaping purposes. Antique Victorian 7 Piece Chamber Wash Stand Set Pink Flowers
Imagine having to go through your morning grooming and toilet routine without indoor plumbing. This antique ceramic(probably ironstone) toilet or chamber set with pretty pink and white flower decoration was a necessity in every Victorian home until the turn of the last century. Rural Americans used wash sets well into the 20th Century. Nowadays a set like this will often be found accessorizing an antique washstand or in a country bed and breakfast. There are seven matching pieces(11 pieces total including the lids and trivets) wash basin or bowl, large wash pitcher, covered chamber pot, covered soap dish, shaving mug, medium waste pitcher which is a duplicate of the larger one, toothbrush holder jar with no handles. Two ceramic inserts or trivets are included, one is a soap saver for the soap dish. The lovely floral decals are on both sides ... moreof each vessel. Lavish gold sponging decorates the rims and handles. The china bodies of all but the insert pieces have relief molded acanthus leaf and double vertical line decoration. The regular size coffee cup in two of the photos are to give an idea of size and scale. All pieces are marked underglaze in green"Vienna" The shaving mug only has an additional mark in gold. The number 625 1/4. The set was probably made in the USA from the 1880s to early 1900s. Vienna is most likely the pattern name. My Kovel's and US pottery marks books don't list this mark. I found only three minor areas of damage to the entire set. The chamber pot lid has a small chip on the rim. 1/4 by 3/16 inch- you can see it in photo 5 just below center right on the lid rim. The white spot to the left is a reflection, the one to the right is the chip. The basin has a shallow, small glaze nick on the rim, very hard to see or feel. Toothbrush jar has a shallow glaze nick or scratch on the edge of the foot. None of the pieces have any hairlines, cracks, repairs, or crazing. Shipping includes signature confirmation and insurance.
