This is a great find from a very old estate sale in a very nice area of homes. Pair of Vintage Antique Handpainted Floral Milk Glass Vanity Dresser Powder Jars
These I purchased some time ago from an Estate. I'm in a position now where I must downsize my eclectic collection of antique items. These two items I could probably list separately but I believe they belong together. Both are Vintage(1920's-30's) Powder Jars which ladies placed on their Vanity Table. They are Milk Glass with a floral hand painted design around each jar. The lids are metal and they screw on the jars. They too are painted. The jars measure 3" high by 3 1/2" in diameter. The Milk Glass is thick and heavy with no flaws(no chips or cracks) The paint on the jars has quite a bit of wear which is seen in my pictures. The paint wear on the lids is very minimal. This type of art is pretty much obsolete. I believe someone will appreciate them as interesting and pretty antique collectibles.

Val St. Lambert Antique 6 Piece Vanity Set. Perfumes, Dresser jars.
A beautiful antique vanity set made by Val St. Lambert of Belgium. Six pieces- 3 different sizes of perfumes and 3 different sizes of covered jars. The perfumes are: 4 1/2" 5 3/4" and 6 1/4" The jars are: 3 1/2" 4 3/4" and the round one is 3" in diameter x 1 3/4" tall. The jars all have a rayed base, as shown. They are molded glass with a diamond shaped pattern between the blue panels and the clear panels below. They are in very, very good condition, especially considering their age. The large perfume has 2 matching lines on the neck of the bottle. As a glass collector and antiques dealer, there is no question in my mind that these were done during the manufacture of the bottle; they are not cracks and do not go through to the other side. I have done some research on them and come up with the fact that they ... morewere also made in amber. Which I have seen, but never have found them in blue. I have seen them dated from pre-1900 to 1920. My understanding is that they are older- before Val St. Lambert started making acid-etched, which was c. 1900. Antique Beautiful Cameo Brush And Mirror Dresser Vanity Set-AsIs
This is a unique old pair. The mirror is over 13 inches. And the brush is 11+ inches. The brush is wooden under bristles, and the mirror has a removable back. The mirror is a little bent where back moved off, but I think glass and all is original when you see the old backing behind it. These are engraved, but I can't find markings. Antique Victorian Round Floral Plateau Vanity Dresser Beveled Scalloped Mirror
Beautiful heavy Victorian Plateau with metal cast rim- has little scallops etched around mirror- the mirror itself in very good condtion for age. Slight scratch and a few tiny marks but nothing to detract from how pretty it is- not sure if the base is cast iron- quite heavy and the metal shows age- tried to show as good as I can in photos- very pretty for vintage perfume bottles or dresser set. This pair of decanter milk glass vanity bottles are from the early 1900's. They do have much of the painted areas worn off but the bottles themselves are still good condition. Only a few nicks around the tops of the bottles where I'm guessing the stoppers repeatedly would hit them When placing them back into each bottle. Antique set has the small 5.5" brush and the large 7.5" brush and the 9.75" mirror. all pcs are in disrepair with the celluloid being cracked and chipped at places as well as black spots on the silver and some dents here and there as well as some small breaks at the edges. There is also what appears to be lacquer on the mirror as some yellow film chipped off when i was touching it. See pics. i did polish the smaller brush and it looks much better and i will leave the rest to you. The bristles are dryish and out of shape. Some will shed for sure. This is an absolutely gorgeous Antique Czech Repousse Filigree Jeweled Vanity Jar. With a glass jar that is not original to the pair. The jar is made by famed Hazel- Atlas Glass Co. of Wheeling, PA and is stamped"HA" at center of star patterned bottom. This piece was acquired from an estate and the prior owner must have paired the two after the demise of the original jar. Customarily the jar bottom would have the star design as this one does, so the owner was cleaver to pair the two. The ornamented relief in brass/copper patina jeweled top is stamped"Made in Cechoslavakia" without the'z" on the inside of the rim. The glass jewels are just lovely, though several faux pearls are missing. The new owner can have them replaced. The rim has an embossed floral pattern. Photos tell all. Beautiful antique Victorian or Eastlake dresser vanity. Marble tops are ivory in color and in good shape. Original ebony drawer pulls. All 4 drawers pull nicely with unique dovetail work. There is also a secret bonus drawer at the bottom that goes unnoticed. The mirror has some silvering in it. Burl wood inlays throughout. Minor wear to be found in places. But nothing terrible. The wood looks to be chestnut, but I am not positive. Great well made piece that will last many more years to come. My apologies for the somewhat awkward photos. This piece is heavy to move on my own. And the lighting was not the best for taking pictures. I am assisting a friend in selling this piece. It has been in their family for a long time. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster. Embossed brass hardware is original, the key still works the lower door lock. Hinged triple mirrors have all been replaced and have no scratches. The mirror easily slides securely into the back of the vanity. Measuring approximately 46" wide by 67" high and 18" deep. It has six drawers that open and close smoothly. There are a couple of VERY light scratches on the top of the vanity. Click on photos for close up view! There is a slight overall haze in the mirror's silvering, commensurates with the true turn of century glass mirrors.
