Antique Dresser All Oak. White Marble Excellent Condition Beveled Mirrors Offered is a beautiful oak dresser or vanity. The outstanding feature is the white marble top and it is in mint condition. This is remarkable considering it's age. The dresser has 3 parts- the mirror assembly. The marble mid-section, and the oak base cabinet. The mirror is attached with 2 wooden rear slats which extend to the base cabinet& screws that hold it rigid. The marble rests on the base. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The buyer can take this dresser home& use it, guaranteed to have a major effect on a room when it comes to decorating. Guaranteed antique- not a reproduction. This will retain value- about 100 years old, perhaps more. DESCRIPTION: The dresser has a 3section mirrored top consisting of a frame with arching top ... moremolding with a carved horizontal over 1/4 round fluted side columns. The center miror is stationary with side mirrors that are hinged& swing out almost 180 degrees. All mirrors have wide bevels. Excellent silvering without blemishes. The marble section is white with a thin grey lines from the stone. It is not composit or manufactured stone. It is clean, no chips, no repairs. The mirror rests on the rear of the top shelf which is over a marble galleried backsplash and opposing side sections. The flat top surface is clean& smooth white marble, all marble is matching and original to the piece. The base cabinet has 2 pull out drawers over 2 swing out doors which open to a large interior with a center horizontal shelf. The base has 1/4 round fluted columns which match the mirror and a center vertical with carving and a burled oval decoration. The pulls are brass, the locks work, a key is provided. The dresser is clean inside, the drawers are not stained, there are no odors, was not stored in a damp location(it's in our house) the drawers slide easily, locks work, this is a nice piece of furniture. Antique armoire dresser and vanity with bench and mirror. This bedroom set was originally purchased in northern New York. St. Lawrence County where it was kept for over 60 years. It has been stored at my home in Florida for about 10 years. The condition is very good considering the age of the pieces. There is some surface damage to both pieces. antique huge hand made carved wood wooden high end dresser vanity box case 1800s
this is a very high end antique handmade wooden dresser box from mid to late 1800's it has an exquisite shape and nicely routed dark stained edges. also a nice ball shaped trim at the base. there is wonderful art deco details on each face of the box. That has some ware from use. the keyhole has a victorian brass trim piece but missing key. the box opens and closes nicely on hinges in the back and stays open with an added brass extender piece at the side. its made from many different wood and veneer which has a high gloss finish. there was a thin cork bottom added to the bottom to stop the box from sliding and scratching surface it sits. it measures 15 inches long by 9 1/2 inches back to front by 5 1/2 inches tall. large box. it has some splitting to the wood from age on the top and in the back. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN HORSESHOE FRAME - BEVELLED VANITY - DRESSER MIRROR c.1800s
This unusual horseshoe shaped mirror is intended for dresser or table use. It has two 3/4" brass ball feet and a hinged prop-arm stand to hold it upright. It has a 1 3/4" wide frame. I'm not sure of the wood. But it's tight-grained with the original finish& appears to be possibly cherry or mahogany. This mirror stands 12 1/4" tall and is 10 1/2" in width at its widest point. The frame is approximately 3/4" in thickness. The mirror has a 1" bevelled edge and its area measured to the frame rabbet is 7" W. x 8 1/2"H. The prop is 8" L& 1 1/2 W. The mirror shows some small areas of silver loss and the frame has some minor finish damage at the edges. But over-all, it is in very good antique condition. Antique Set of 5 Vanity/Dresser Jar Sterling Lid Glasgow Hallmarks
This Listing is for a set of 5 vanity jars with solid sterling lids. Each lid is hallmarked the same and if my research is accurate the set was made in Glasgow. Scotland. The first mark is a H in a square. Next mark is the Lion Rampant in a circle and the last mark is C H with a symbol below in a circle. The two round glass jars measure approximately 3 1/2" across, one lid weighs 3.21 oz and the other 3.29 oz. The small oval jar is 3" x 2" and the lid weighs 2.24 oz. The medium oval jar is 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" and the lid weighs 3.42 oz. The laegest oval jar is 9 1/4" x 3 1/4" The lid was too large to weigh on the scale. This very refined Victorian Jar has been in our family for decades ~ my Mother kept pine needles and dried violets in it. And, what a treat it was to join her at her vanity dresser and be allowed to remove the lid, and smell the garden inside. Jar measures 3-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall. As you can see the wooden lid(appears to be walnut) has wee wormholes. Which was not unusual on antiques this old. Inside the lid. Appears to be a final coating? paper mache? The design in the glass is remarkable ~ a stripe of dual large circles. Then a stripe of a trio of jagged edge(sawtooth) And the creme de creme is the large flora design on the bottom. 4 Dresser pulls measure 3 3/4" across. Screws are set at 3" apart. Bolt to attach from the inside of the drawers is not included. 3 pulls are identically decorated. And one is plain. I have included another plain handle that I found. These are very old, thin, and do have some tiny dents. I tried to photograph each one individually. Photos are pretty accurate. antique empire flame mahogany vanity dresser carved!!!!
layaway available on any of my listings should anyone have an interest in that. up for auction is the nicest empire vanity i have seen in all the years i have been messing with antiques. i bought this not long ago and have it in my dining room as there is no where else to put it in my 20 room house. i have another one in a bedroom upstairs that i will list shortly. hopefully it will sell and not this one as i want to actually keep this one. anyway. I have seen a dozen or so of these, but none this nice. it is serpentine, heavily carved mirror harp, pedestal, feet and wings, along with carved roping surrounding the vanity top. the mirror shows some fog, which does not bother me, i can have that corrected for about 100.00 should someone want that accomplished. it is free from damage or repairs as far as i can ascertain. i think the knobs on ... morethe two serpentine drawers are original as well. this is a wonderful empire piece made around 1860 or so i think out of the most wonderful flame mahogany as you will find. the piece has wonderful patina and is gorgeous. the pictures do not do it justice. it stands 49.5 to the top of the mirror, it is about 30 inches to the vanity top and 22 inches deep at the widest point of the serpentine top. it is 44 inches wide at the back of the top and 38 inches wide at the front of the top. shipping will be the buyers responsibility. you may arrange a carrier, or i will do it for you, or you may pick it up at my home. if the carrier requires a crate, i will build it for the cost of the material and will not charge any labor. the material will cost about 50.00 for the crate, if required. i need to sell one of these vanities, don't have room for both. i am starting this at probably all it is worth, but if you want the best, this is for you! i bought it because it was the nicest one i have seen in years and years. i doubt you can find another one like it, and if so, it will be expensive. i will be glad to answer any questions or supply other pictures upon request. good luck

VINTAGE TRI-MIRRORED VANITY AND CHAIR FROM THE FORMER PALM SPRINGS HOME OF MISS BETTE DAVIS While not a film prop that I know of. This vintage(circa 1920's-30's) vanity dressing table and chair came from the former Palm Springs home of Miss Bette Davis. According to local lore, Miss Davis owned Villa Finamente at 784 Patencio in Palm Springs, near the homes of Mary Pickford, Marie Dressler, Greta Garbo, Barbra Streisand and other film greats in the lovely Las Palmas neighborhood. The former home of Miss Davis, which is pointed out on the Palm Springs City Bus Tour, was Bette's Palm Springs vacation home in the 1940's and then sold sometime in the 1950's. As is an old Palm Springs tradition, homes were often sold"turnkey" meaning all furniture, appliances, artwork, linens, nik-naks, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, ... moreetc. remained in the home upon its sale. The last owner, who purchased the home from Miss Davis, sold the home and all its contents, as"turnkey" is no longer as popular. Many of the pieces sold may have belonged to Miss Davis, but there was no specific proof. The estate sale was held by Ben Hegel Estate Sales Specialist. Although they were aware that this had previously been Miss Davis' home, I was told they had no knowledge that any particular piece may have been hers, with the exception of this vanity and chair. I asked how they knew it had been Miss Davis' The response was that there was an 8x10" photo of Miss Davis sitting at the same vanity, which was sold first thing in the morning along with some other photos of Miss Davis. I asked why they would not keep the photo to be sold with the vanity. The reply was, We didn't think about that! I believe someone in the Palm Springs area, who is perhaps a Davis fan, has this photograph. I do, however, have photographs of the vanity being removed from the Via Finamente estate and a receipt for the vanity on the original Via Finamente Stationery. Rosewood 1860 Antique Marble Top Dresser. Chest or Vessel Sink Vanity. A stellar Victorian period chest or dresser from about 1860 is genuine rosewood with a marble top and could be a vessel sink vanity. Hand crafted with exquisitely detailed carving and a bow front. The old finish is very well preserved. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina. Hand cut dovetail joints are visible on the case and drawers. Carved pulls are original. Drawers are lined with curly or birdseye maple. The shaped marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains. The removable swivel mirror frame includes tiny drawers for handkerchiefs or jewelry. Said to be from New York. Set was acquired from its original owner whom bought the pieces in Harrisburg in the late 40s and got the glass custom made in the 50s. Tall Dresser: 5 Drawer 49" tall x 33" wide x 18" deep Cedar wood boxed bottom drawer. Cracked veneer on bottom drawer. 2" scratch on veneer on second drawer. 3 or 4 spots of chipped edges Long Dresser& Mirror: 6 Drawer 34" tall x 56" wide x 21" deep- Bottom right drawer has chipped edges- Few other bumps and nicks Mirror measures 33" tall x 46.5" wide and is beveled. Solid hard wood with 40s Art Deco drawer pulls. Great set however not pristine. There are bumps on edges of pieces. Few surface scratches due to the glass tops. All the glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Mirrors are in VG condition with no marks. Overall great condtion outside of that mentioned. Local pickup in Harrisburg. PA. It has a tilting mirror and it is carved from walnut. The wood has a beautiful patina and the mirror is in very good condition. The vanity has a drawer that pulls out and stands on four round carved feet. It is in overall good used condition. It measures from top to bottom 20.5" high and 15.25" wide and 6 and 3/4" deep.
