This auction features a gorgeous 3 Piece Hammered Sterling Silver Vanity or Dresser Set made by Watson. All three pieces are in wonderful condition with only a couple of minor dings. One in the upper right hand corner of the mirror and the same in the upper right hand corner of the brush. None of the pieces are monogrammed. All three pieces have the Watson Hallmark. Lovely Antique Victorian Celluloid Portrait Dresser Glove Box w/ clasp. This box has a portait of a very pretty lady surrounded by roses. The box is 13-3/4" long by 3" tall by 4-1/2" wide with crisp colorful grahics and an ornate black celluloid scroll w/ a lady's head in the center decoration applied around the box. The box is in overall very good condition. There is a tiny spot or two of budlging in the paper starting. And a few spects of paint missing. The linen lining is in good condition but is dirty around the edges. The clasp properly closes and the hinges are in good shape. Please pardon light reflection/glare lines- these are not flaws.

Up for sale is a a lovely set of 2 matching sterling silver and glass dresser jars. One is a large. Full size jar and a small rouge jar. Each sterling top has a beautiful, narcissus flower pattern. The larger jar measures 2 5/8" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter. The sterling top has some imperfections. The sterling top is thin and has some pinholes on the top and one small split on the side. It fits well with the glass base. There are also some small dings around the edge of the lid. The lid is clearly marked"Sterling" The glass base is in overall good condition except for a small chip on the side. And a shallow chip on the top edge measuring about 1" long. Please read the item description and review the photos before bidding. This is an antique mahogany adjustable mirror frame for a dresser or vanity. The item was acquired from an estate and it is in good clean condition. The outside measurements of the frame are 18 3/4" wide and 23" high and the highest point of the curve. It would accommodate a mirror that was 16" wide and 24 1/2" high at the highest point of the curve. Two very small pieces of the surface wood are broken off on the lower right side of the frame and there are a couple of pieces of surface wood missing on the back side of the frame. N O RESERVE! ANTIQUE FOSTORIA GLASS. JENNY LIND CAMEO PORTRAIT DRESSER VANITY SET, VICTORIAN Welcome to our site. Offered is a set of original Fostoria hand painted"Jenny Lind" portrait dresser set. C.1880-90. The set is nicely modeled in opaque milk glass with aqua and bronze colored paint. Relief floral and cameo portrait vignette decorations. Commemorating the famous opera star Jenny Lind. Fostoria later recast the pattern in the 1950's from the original molds, but this set which is hand painted in aqua blue/green with bronze colored highlights is from the late 19thC. It has been in my personal collection for the last fifteen years. And I am selling it since having redecorated. The set consists of cologne bottle measuring 9 3/4" tall. Powder jar measuring 3" tall, and two dresser trays measuring 12" and 9 1/2" Condition ... morenotation: the lower stopper on the cologne bottle is damaged as shown. But the chipped portion is within the bottle and not seen when the stopper is in place. The paint on the cologne bottle has more wear than the other pieces, which have good paint retention. A ll 4 pieces are in very good condition with only mi nor dings along the edge of the larger pieces. They are all marked. 835" No maker's mark. But 835 is the German ve rsion of sterling silver. The mirror is 10.5" long. The handled brush is 9" long. The other b rush is 7" long. The comb is 7.75" long. T hey are monogrammed with a fancy"PWS" lettering. The 4 pieces weigh a total of 25 ounces. This set is not being sold as scrap. The case does show wear on the outside. But is still nice for it's age. Antique Porcelain Hand Painted Dresser Vanity Tray Dish O&EG Royal Austria
The O&EG Royal mark of Oscar& Edgar Gutherz- Austria-dates this lovely hand painted porcelain oblong dresser tray from 1889 to 1918. The expertly designed sprays of delicate blue and white flowers with foliage are arranged on a background of white and added hints of blue. Cream and a very light suggestion of rosey beige at top for contrast. There is no fading of the colors. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. I see 3-4 tiny pin size specks, obviously done during the production of the piece and in no way detracting from the beauty of this approximately 100 yr. old collectible. A little"misplaced" blue paint outside rim on large spray side(photo#7) The tray measures 10 1/8" X 6 7/8" with a 5/8" rim. 4 Antique Sterling Silver Vanity/Dresser Sets Mirrors, Brushes, file, scissors
You are bidding on 4 different antique Sterling Silver vanity sets. All are%100.00 hallmarked sterling silver. I could only upload the 12 photos you see here but I would be more than happy to email interested bidders as many as they like. The first set pictured is made by International Sterling and is just the mirror and brush. It is in good overall shape with the mirror having a little hazing. As you can see in the pictures it is monogrammed. But not quite sure what the initials are. The second set is made by Birks and consists of a brush, mirror. Nail file and the sterling holder for a comb but the comb is missing. All pieces are monogrammed with a N and again clearly hallmarked Birks Sterling. Overall the condition is good with slight clouding in the mirror. The nail file has some corrosion on the file portion. The 3rd set is hallmarked ... more925R sterling and consists of a brush. Mirror, scissors, nail file and comb holder which is missing the comb. Each piece of the set is monogrammed with a D. The scissors in the set have some corrosion on the cutting portions which are not silver, but overall condition is good. the 4th set is hallmarked Birks Sterling and consists of a brush and mirror only. Both pieces are monogrammed with a C. The brush is in great shape but the mirror portion of the set has come loose and there is some small dents around the mirror edges. Also included is 2 smaller brushes(last picture) both are ornate and hallmarked Sterling Silver. The smaller one is hallmarked Sterling while the larger one is hallmarked F&B Sterling. 1907. In total there are 15 pieces of Sterling Silver up for grabs. My local antique dealer offered me $350.00 for everything so that's what I'm started the bidding at. Again. ANTIQUE VANITY SET BAKELITE DRESSER HAND MIRROR VINTAGE LOOKING GLASS
This is a very old vanity or dresser set in great condition. The items appear to be bakelite but I am going by what I was told when I purchased the lot at an estate sale. The pictures show the pieces to have a design or it might be stains that bleed throughout the backs with metal tear drops in the center. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. I only used water to clean these because I did not want to jeapordize damaging the set with any chemicals. The measurements are as follows. Mirror: 10 inches long X 3 1/2 inches wide. Brush: 8 inches long X 2 1/4 inches wide. File: 6 3/4 inches long X 1 inch wide. Container or Storage Box: 7 inches long X 2 inches wide x 1 inch deep. Greetings and welcome to our auction. Today we are offering a VERY PRETTY dresser vanity set. This set includes a HAIR RECEIVER and POWDER DISH. In the last photo I wanted to show you a vanity tray that is in a seperate listing and does not come with these two pieces. The hair receiver and powder dish are both marked on the bottom: M Z Austria. Classic. They feature a hand painted floral pattern with VIOLETS. I found the artist's initials. A.M.B. on one of the lids. They are footed with gold painted legs and there's gold trim around the outside edge on the lids. The pieces measure about 3 3/4" high and 4 3/4" across at the widest point. They appear to be in very nice. Gently used vintage condition. I don't see any knicks, chips or cracks. This is a nice old celluloid dresser box. The box has a great shape with curved top and an unusual Castle scene on the lid. It measures 8.75 inches long. 7.25 inches wide and 4 1/8 inches tall. The condition is good with some loss of paper on the sides and a bit of damage to the celluloid at the edges. The mirror inside is in rough shape. The lavender colored fabric inside is not torn but needs cleaning. The hinges are good and the latch works but the tip of the latch is missing. Good color with blue floral pattern. This is a truly RARE BEAUTY! Exquisitely etched mirror surrounded by painstakingly cut out scrolled wood topped by STERLING SILVER HALLMARKED caps. Connected with CELLULOID guards. Mirror measuring 16x11 with a inch or two extra for the wood scrolls. So much to tell on this mirror I’ll list to the corresponding number on photos: 1& 2) ETCHING on mirror is superb! As you can see. Different angles produce a slightly different appearance. 3) WOOD scrolls. Possibly WALNUT are cut out perfectly for the Sterling caps. The caps are nailed on with silver headed nails so they become part of the design. I couldn’t make out what the HALLMARKS(photo 6) say, but this has been TESTED as STERLING SILVER! 4) 1 very slight scuff& slight rippling. Only noticeable on CLOSE INSPECTION- NO BROWN SPOTS at all! At a glace this mirror LOOKS PERFECT! EXCELLENT ... moreCLARITY for a mirror this age! 5) SILVER caps are in excellent shape with only a tiny edge piece missing on 2(3mm) scrolls. Center scrolls are both slightly dented in centers(photos) 6) The dark edge pictured is the extent of it& only occurs in a couple spots on very edge. Again you really have to look for them. 7) CELLULOID guards are in EXCELLENT SHAPE& even have a slight SHINE to them! No scratches or gouges anywhere! 8) A couple scrolls have slight dings to the wood on the bottom. Not noticeable. 9) Looks like this used to have handles or maybe just holes were drilled for them& not used. But there are filled in holes on either end of mirror. This in no way takes away from the beauty of this piece. 10) All wood backing held with screws. Nice& flat- screws are slightly countersunk so as not to damage your bureau. CAVEATS: VERY. The 7+ inch brush does have some old silver polish residue on it otherwise in excellent condition with all teeth present. Set has two approx. 5 1/2 by 2 1/4 jars with etched rose. Flower and leaf pattern repeated three times on glass with impressed thumbnail pattern also repeated three times. Again NO MONOGRAMS. Set is tarnished as shown but as with any antique item felt it best to leave as found. This a substantial set with a hefty silver content. The two lids on the jars weigh in excess of five ounces. And would appreciate hearing from anyone who may know. The mirror is usable as is. But could use a new glass piece since there is something going on with the current piece glass, although I have used it like this for many years. Measures approximately 13" long and 5" wide(measured at the widest part) This does have some condition issues. But I think that all of them may easily be repaired if you wish. There is a separation along the upper handle. It appears that someone may have tried to open the handle. I am thinking that they may have thought to replace the mirror? I am just guessing. This 3 piece set consists of a mirror. Brush and comb. The mirror is approximately 12 ½ inches long and 4 ¼ inches at its widest. The mirror itself is beveled glass. The ... morebrush is approximately 9 ¾ inches long and 2 ¾ inches at its widest. The comb is approximately 6 ½ inches long and just under 1 ½ inches tall. Each piece has an empty cartouche, no monograms. As you can see in picture 12, the combined weight of these pieces is 465 grams. As to exactly how much of this weight is sterling silver, I can’t really say. The condition of this set is quite good. All pieces are hallmarked Webster Company Sterling(see pictures) There is some light spotting of the silvering on the mirror. Mostly in the bottom bevel area. There are some dings to the brush and mirror that are visible in the pictures but overall they are in great shape given their age. As always. Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Vanity/Dresser w. 3 Beveled Mirrors, Circa 1900
This is a very stunning Vanity Dresser in impeccably restored condition. The long beveled mirror in center swivels. The oval beveled mirrors on each side swivel inward(back sides are finished) all mirrors have been re-silvered. A piece of veneer on the top right about 2" by 1-1/2" has been replaced(see photo) and there is an area on bottom of oval mirror on the right measuring about 1" by 1" that has been filled, see photo) It has ornate claw feet on legs as well as on each support under the mirror. This sale is for this very nice and fancy ornate victorian era dresser mirror with a round beveled mirror. It has unique face motiffs in a five areas in the fancy lacy design. I believe this to be cast brass. There is a small iron loop to hang on the wall if desired.It has imprinted marks"P.E. Guerin N.Y. and No 298. The brass looks in very good condition. The mirror appears to be in good condition for being from this era. Some spots on the mirror, please see the photos. P.E. Guerin N.Y. made fancy metalwork hardware etc since 1857. Antique Birmingham England Sterling Silver Vanity Dresser Set 1903 and 1904
A beautiful sterling silver vanity set. With a nice floral design, with date stamps from 1904 and 1903 made in Birmingham England. The Maker's Mark is a little too worn to distinguish but the others are in good shape. The first is an Anchor which denotes the city of Birmingham, the second is the lion with a raised right hand which indicates sterling silver and the third are date marks, all indicate the"i" shown in the picture which is 1904 and one brush with an"h" for 1903. This would make a beautiful decorative piece but is also usable if you wish. Made of precious sterling sillver its bound to hold its beauty for centuries to come. It seems at some point the brush hairs were replaced and the silver needs shining. The comb holder would need to be repaired for if you wish to use it.
