It is in good condition but does have some ... morecondition issues. I am unsure of the actual age of the dresser but would guess it to come from the mid to late 19th Century. It is made of walnut, with burled rosewood accents. The side mirrors pivot at adjustable angles. The bottom front of the dresser on the left side as you face it is broken off and needs to be repaired. Some of the original wooden drawer pulls are missing as well. There is a glove box inside one of the small drawers, and there are some spare parts that will be shipped with the dresser, including some extra casters. The mirror measures 13 in long by 4.5 in wide. Brush 10 in long by 3 in wide and the comb is 7.75 in long. They show expected light scratch wear and a few small dings but for the most part all three pieces are in excellent condition. The mirrored surface is near perfect with no loss. For sale is an Old Antique English STERLING SILVER& CUT GLASS Small VANITY/ DRESSER JAR. The Lid has English Sterling Silver Hallmarks for Birmingham. 1901(see photos) The Maker's Mark appears to be'HM' see photos) The item measures about 1 3/4 inches(4.5 cm) in height. The Lid measures about 1 3/4 inches(just under 4.5 cm) in diameter. The lid is decorated with Fancy Edwardian scrolls. The central cartouche has not been engraved. The glass jar is nicely cut. Offering for sale a Rare Antique RODEN BROS/ Birks STERLING SILVER Vanity Dresser Mirror Brush 5 pc Set This nicely detailed set dates to the engraved date of 1937 when the monogranned T&W( a family member) were married. Beautifully Engraved in a Floral Pattern with a Sterling Silver hallmark on each piece: Sterling 925 R(lion) They were carefully made in Toronto. Ontario Canada by Roden Bros Ltd. Then Birks later acquired this firm in the 1950's. The hand mirror measures approx. 12-1/2" long; the hair brush is 10" long; the other brush is 7" long; the comb is 8" long, the nail file is 5" long and clippers are 4.5" long. These are used. But in great condition. There is some light typical wear, as to be expected with a 75 year old dresser set. It is noted that most pieces have usual minor scratches& ... morea few very small dings(nothing serious) It is also noted the mirror does have some delamination/spotting(very common wear with mirrors of this age) This lovely set would make a nice addition to your valuable collection. The smaller jar measures approx 1 3/4" tall x 6 3/4" round. it is 2" in diameter. The jars themselves are in excellent condition- no chips or cracks. However. The sterling lids have a few dents. this is a very rare antique high end solid brass and wood ornate trinket box from early 1800's. it is signed on the bottom by maker"St" the box is made from very thick. Very heavy brass and has a wonderful patina from age. it is extremely detailed with heavily embossed floral and scroll detailing. it has a wonderfully ornate solid brass locking hinge mechanism that sits in a slot next to the key hole. it is beautifully footed and lined with a wooden lining which also has a nice patina from age and use. the wood lining underneath the lid is inlaid and has 4 ornate decorative rivets holding it in plate. the box measures 5 1/8 by 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/8 inches tall. it is in exquisite shape and an extremely high end box. it does have a working key but forgot to take the picture of it. I am downsizing. Offered for sale is an antique tray that has 2 real dried butterflies along with silken threads and dried flowers and leaves from the Thompson Art Co. The butterflies and flowers are under glass and framed in a mahogany stained wood frame with two brass colored handles. The Thompson Art Co. was in business from 1905– 1923. Frederick H. Thompson(1844– 1909) started the Thompson Art Co. about 1905. Frederick M. Thompson(1876– 1923) took over the business in 1909 when his father died. Thompson Art Co. closed its doors permanently in 1923 when Frederick M. Thompson died. I bought this tray many years ago at a large antique show in the East. Over the years I have seen the larger serving trays but not this nice smaller size. I’ve had it displayed on a dresser in my guest bedroom. It measures 7” wide(not including handles) or 8-3/8” ... morewith the handles by 5” The deep well frame is 7/8” deep. The original paper backing is on the bottom of the tray. The Thompson Art Co. was in business from 1905– 1923. The preserved items under the glass are in great condition. There is no damage to the glass. The stained antique wood frame has some scattered scuffs/ wear. The metal handles have decorative stamped designs and are brass colored. The handles show some wear so I believe they are brass plated. Antique Victorian Dresser/Vanity/Toothbrush Box Rose Finial
Up for auction is this stunning antique wash stand vanity set box for a toothbrush. This is heavy china unglazed on the bottom. Lid rim and bass top. The decoration is a beautiful robin’s egg blue. Then garlands of flowers around the lid and base bowl. The only mark on the piece is the embossed number“119” The lid is pierced and has a gilded rose finial. The inside of the bowl has brackets to hold the brush and allow drying. The box is 8 3/8” long. 3 ¾” wide, and 3 ¾” tall to the top of the lid finial. There is a small gap in the unglazed rim on the underside(this is not a crack. Does not go through, but is shrinkage from when this was made common in iron stone) The piece is in excellent vintage condition with no nicks. Chips or cracks. Gorgeous Antique VANITY SET that was produced by APOLLO Studios. NY in the 1920s. The mirror cleverly is used as the cover for the dresser box and makes a unique statement in a boudoir setting or as a showcase piece. The mirror has a lovely hand painted portrait of a young woman holding a rose and an artist's signature. It is surrounded by guilloche metal protected by hard clear plastic(plastic has an age spot) The gilt metal frame with handle sits on top of the dresser box when not in use. RARE Estate Sale Find PERFUME ORMOLU FILIGREE AMBER GLASS DRESSER VANITY SET This is a large set 10 1/2 inches Tall from Top of Stopper to the bottom of the bottle(entire bottle and lid) There is one bent wheel That I think was made that way from the factory. So not going to try straighten, and I would not suggest anyone trying, because it might break and besides it is so beautiful that you cant see it unless you pick it up and look it over. Some dust on the inside of the glass bottles. I will leave that for the new owners to clean. Because of age I don't want to mess it up. But I beleive it can be washed. Up for auction is a very unique find. This came from an old estate sale in Central PA. This brass dresser/ vanity mirror measures 16 ½ tall by 15” wide. It’s made of brass and has a beveled mirror with webbed feet. As for the style I’m not totally sure where it falls because of the different elements I see in the mirror. It has no dents or chips and has a great patina. The only information I could find on the mirror is the number“2” on the feet and the number“06” on the top of the stand. Perhaps a childs, a larger brush, a hand mirror, glass powder jar with silver lid, nail file, button hook and additional tool, perhaps a cuticle tool. All are repousse, floral and marked Patented Sterling C520 with a hallmark. We are unsure of the maker although we have seen similar marks and hallmarks that was described as an early Daniel Low. The mirror measures approximately 8 and 1/2 inches long and 5 and 1/2 inches wide. The powder jar measures approximately 4 and 1/4 inch wide and tall. It includes the powder puff. These are in very good to excellent condition depending on the piece. The silver is shiny and without dents. The glass powder jar is etched with roses and leaves ... morethat surround the diameter. It is excellent condition with no chips or cracks or signs of repair. The beveled mirror has some discoloration around the edges and some minor scratches but otherwise is in very good condition. The nail file is in excellent conditon, the cuticle tool is in excellent condition, the button hook is very good but loose from the handle. This is an Art Deco era vanity/dresser set consisting of mirror. Comb, large power jar and small jar. The mirror is discolored from age, but still makes a lovely display piece. The large jar has a lid which snaps on and the smaller jar has a screw-on lid. The mirror measures 11 3/4" in length. The comb is 7 3/4" long, the large jar measures 3 3/4" in diameter and the small jar is 2 5/8" in diameter. Antique Early/ Mid 1800's Walnut Dresser Vanity Shaving Mirror. It has a tilting mirror with wood screws and washers. The walnut wood has a beautiful rich patina and the mirror is very good condition. Contains a single drawer with hand dove-tailed corners and stands on(4) round carved feet. Measures approx. 21" high x 15" wide x 7" deep. In overall good used condition. A long crack runs across the top. Patina reflects the age of the piece. Wood washer with crack.
