Or mirror stand& vanity dating from the early Showa period between1930 and the early 50's boasts ... morean adjustable 3 way mirror that creates multiple reflections, made in a beautiful extra thick quality glass with beveled borders that still has a very clear reflection for its age. The center below the mirror is adorned with a textured glass surface reflecting a pale blue colour. Its Art deco lines, adorned with a lovely stripy grain veneer in a golden shade are accented by silver tone openwork handles. Small drawers offer space for accessories or make-up and it can easily fit on a night stand, chest or work top making it an very useable and versatile piece. It is in excellent overall condition for its age with no major damage. There are some slight bubbles in the veneer in a couple of places. And one small chip has been filled on the middle drawer. The attachment between the mirror and the stand is slightly wobbly on the left hand side, but stable. There is so much ornamentation swags and bows. It is a kidney shape. Note the adorable little cane footrest underneath the opening. This was so that the lady didn't have to put her little feet on the cold floor! The three part mirror is adjustable, in that the sides move. Antique Silver and Cut Glass Box This box has a sterling silver lid with a hammered(planished) finish in the Arts& Crafts design with roped edges and the oblong glass body is cut in the Hobnail Pattern. There is an oval hole in the middle of the lid. I haven’t seen this before in this type of piece but it is either designed as a Hair Tidy or it has been subjected to later alteration. The lid is hallmarked for Birmingham 1901 with the maker’s mark of John S Pullinger. The lid does have a number of bruises and dents as shown in the photos below and some small areas of the edges are very slightly downturned. The glass has no chips or cracks that I can find. The damage is reflected in the asking price although it is still a lovely item. Antique Silver and Cut Glass Box This beautiful box has a sterling silver lid which is profusely decorated with flora and scrolls. With crimped edges and the interior is gilded. The chest-form glass body is cut in the Diamond Pattern and sits of four splayed feet. The lid is hallmarked for Birmingham 1904 with the maker’s mark of Miller Bros. The silver is in lovely condition with only a few tiny pinhead dints to the top. However. The sleeve that fits onto the glass body has a number of dinks as shown in the photos below. Hello and welcome to my auction. After my parents passed away I inherited the dressing table with tri-fold mirror pictured. Not real sure how old it is but I had the dressing table when I was a small chld. now a senior citizen) I do remember when I was a teenager my mother and aunt refinished it to this darker color. I was young and don't even know what kind of wood it is. It is a hard type wood and not pine. It has 2 drawers on each side and a little shelf in between. There are little rolling casters so it can be moved easily. The mirror is a tri fold mirror which looks like it has some haze to it. The mirrors could be replaced for not too much money. I considered taking this table apart and just using the sides with drawers as a night stand for a small bedroom. I bought this beautiful vanity set for my wife several Christmases ago and now that she has passed I have no need for it. It was refinished and re-glued and it retains all the original hardware. The chair was also re-glued and refinished and a new cane seat. There are no flaws with either of these pieces and the little lady will be thrilled to own it. The vanity measures about 50 inches long and 20 inches wide. The highboy is about 36.5 inches by 19.5 inches and at the highest point at the decorative piece on top it is about 48 inches high. Has 3 larger drwers on bottom and on the top of chest the 2 side by side drawers. The beautiful and interesting top opens to a jewelry box with a mirrored lid.

An antique 19th century dressing table/vanity in mahogany with two drawers and bottom shelf. Measuring approximately 54.5" tall to the top of the mirror, 35.75" wide, and 18" deep. It is in good antique condition with normal wear and tear commensurate with age and use- some dings and scratching found commonly on old furniture. There is also some loss to the veneer left of center on the front, just beneath the bottom drawer(see photos) There is also a repair to the shelf on the bottom where the wood split and was reinforced underneath. This beautiful piece was brought back from Japan, right before WW ll, from an American nanny that was working there. The piece had been in the family forever but they let her choose 1 piece to bring home.They called it a wedding chest and, since they had no girls to pass it down to, they let her have it. I have no idea how old it is, only that it is very, very old. If I had to guess, I'd say late 1700's, early 1800's. There are a lot of chips of the"japanned" edges. Some of the pictures make the chips look A LOT lighter than it actually looks in person. The flash must do that. I had an estimate of apx. $500 to repair the chips. To get to the mirror, you open the top 2 pieces that then rest on the side"arms" that fold out, then ... moreyou lift up the next piece. It has 4 drawers.
