Nonornate pieces are made by Du Barry(excluding the shave brush) Pieces are most likely all Pyralin celluloid though there may be some BAKELITE in the set. 15 pieces in all. Including lids, covers, etc. The tray measures approx. 7" X 10" There is a small mark on the tray. Also the ornate backs of the mirror and brush could be detailed for cleaner look, but arestill quite nice and have been lightly cleaned. Brush, mirrir, and tray look as though some of pattern has faded in color and that some paint has flecked off in a few spots. I do not beleive this ruins their appeal in any way. Antique Child's Dresser Hand Made Early Painted Piece Mirror 4 Drawers Chippy
Primitive Antique Child's Dresser Great little Mirrored Dresser. Originally purchased at the Brimfield Antique Show in MA. This is a great little chippy piece. Do not know the history, my guess it was a hand made piece by someone with very good wood working skill. There is a nice carved pediment across the top over an early mirror. Turned columns on the sides of the mirror and nice decorative trim around the mirror. There are two shallow wide drawers and two square deeper drawers on the bottom. As you can see in the pictures one of the drawer bottoms was made from a wood crate and one of the sides also shows the imprint of a wood crate under the paint(see last picture) There are old metal wheels on the bottom. In good solid antique condition. The paint is worn and chipped, there is wear to the mirror with some silver loss, on the side ... morewhere the imprint of the crate can be seen there is a break to the trim wood on the back corner. On the old wood backing it looks like there is an old water mark. It has seen years of use. Still a great primitive chippy piece that could be left as is, or repainted for a bright clean finish. The top piece with the columns and the mirror is held on with screws and can be removed to cut down on shipping cost. Dresser measures 31" tall. 19" wide and about 12" deep. For auction here we have a beautiful carved oak Victorian sideboard dating to the latter part of the 19th century. This impressive sideboard of large proportions has a large mirror upstand with ornate carved showframe over a base of inverted breakfront form with frieze drawers supported by twin pedestals with ornately carved fielded panel doors united by undertier and raised on plinth base. The carving throughout is of high quality with floral detailing and crisp edges. The sideboard is in good working order with no worm or splits. It does have some scratches on the mirror which I am sure is from how old it is. The leather on the backside is hardened from age. There are no cracks or breaks and it has a wonderful bevelling in the mirror which is very hard to picture accurately. It is 8 1/2" across and is about an 1" tall. It is pretty heavy. Antique Bird eye maple dresser and original mirror
Used Bird's Eye Maple Dresser. This piece came from my grandmothers house. She was born in 1900. I don't know where she got this piece from. I used it and my son used it as a dresser. I was told it is the original mirror- it is detachable. The mirror is in excellent shape- it was in storage. The mirror easily attaches/unattached with two pieces of wood. The dresser is about 49 inches tall. The mirror about 21 inches- total height about 70 inches tall. It is 18 wide and about 30.5 inches across the front. Each drawer has a key hole. All the pulls and key holes are original. The two front little drawers are curved to match the curve of the front. The four bottom drawers are flat. It is on wheels The inside of the drawer have some pencil marking and one has black ink spilled The worst part of the veneer is the bottom drawer top right ... morecorner- zoom in and you can see it. This is a wonderful antique mission/craftsman oak dresser with mirror for sale. Original wooden roller feet. And mirror is original. Since this is an old piece, the mirror has expected aging to the silvering. Overall the piece is solid and in good condition for its age with only minor scratches to the finish. The drawers open and close and piece is very sturdy. One minor issue with one side of the piece. Near the bottom of the dresser on the right side(as you face the dresser) are a few minor nicks where the original wood has chipped away. Instead of trying to match a stain to the piece, that area was left alone. Also, that same area has a slight bow in the veneer- which is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. It has a tilting mirror and it is carved from walnut. The wood has a beautiful patina and the mirror is in very good condition. The vanity has a drawer that pulls out and stands on four round carved feet. It is in overall good used condition. It measures from top to bottom 20.5" high and 15.25" wide and 6 and 3/4" deep. The mirror measures 13 in long by 4.5 in wide. Brush 10 in long by 3 in wide and the comb is 7.75 in long. Antique Saart Bros Sterling Silver Dresser Mirror Brush Comb Set Early 1900's
Up for sale is my grandmother's cherished Saart Bros sterling silver dresser set. Her name was Eugenia Cecelia Johnson and. As you could guess, the brush and mirror are monogrammed"ECJ" The comb is monogrammed with a single"J" I don't know how much the silver alone weighs but the whole set on the digital scale weighs 447 grams. Marked with the Saart crest and"sterling" on all pieces. She grew up in Taunton. MA and so it makes sense that she would have this set made by the company that was founded by William Saart in 1905. I was told it was a wedding present and I believe she got married in 1939. All the pieces are in fantastic shape for their age. No cracks. Chips or discoloration on the mirror. Some minor wear on the handles but that is to be expected. The bristles on the brush are in excellent condition ... moreand the comb in in perfect shape. Brush measures 10.5" long and 3" wide. Offering for sale a Rare Antique RODEN BROS/ Birks STERLING SILVER Vanity Dresser Mirror Brush 5 pc Set This nicely detailed set dates to the engraved date of 1937 when the monogranned T&W( a family member) were married. Beautifully Engraved in a Floral Pattern with a Sterling Silver hallmark on each piece: Sterling 925 R(lion) They were carefully made in Toronto. Ontario Canada by Roden Bros Ltd. Then Birks later acquired this firm in the 1950's. The hand mirror measures approx. 12-1/2" long; the hair brush is 10" long; the other brush is 7" long; the comb is 8" long, the nail file is 5" long and clippers are 4.5" long. These are used. But in great condition. There is some light typical wear, as to be expected with a 75 year old dresser set. The original solid cast bronze hardware is also included. The original large mirror goes over the lower long dresser and has the original glass which is in good condition. This is all hand crafted with dove tail joints.really nice work! The set needs refinishing. There are scratches on the top but the flamed front has remained in very good condition. Antique Tiger Oak Dresser W/ Beveled Mirror 4 drawers PALMDALE CA PICKUP ONLY
This is a tiger oak antique dresser that I've had for years. It's time to sell so my loss is your gain! Mirror has lovely carvings at the top and bottom but also some dark areas. Please see photos. Also has beveled edges and is marked 1908 on the back. Honestly, it could be 1906, I can't pull it away from the wall as yet. In good antique condition with one small hole(see pix#11) that my husband made to attach wire to secure it to the wall. We live in earthquake country. Dresser looks great. No obvious scratches. There is 3 or 4 small chips on the bottom of the front(see pix#12) I'm sure the back is rough though, as was the custom way back then. It has 4 good sized drawers. The handles may be reproduction, the screws look new. The locks look old though. Dovetailed corners show it was once painted green, but has been stripped ... moreback to its original finish. Back piece of drawers slide into place. The legs have small wheel casters on the bottom. Dresser measures 42 inches across the widest point. 22 1/2 inches deep. Dresser is 35 inches tall and the mirror adds another 40 inches. Mirror frame is 38 inches wide at the bottom. Constructed in the very early 19 th century this Dresser ... moreMirror was altered by a cabinet maker. Later in its life, but in the 19 th century. The bottom is covered with fine figured mahogany veneers and has a single draw constructed with fine dovetails. There are three mirror posts that are mortised into the top of the box. In the photographs you can see that there is no evidence on the veneer that these three posts were added. So they must be original. The early mirror retains the original thin looking glass with spline corner to the frame. At the top of the triangle shelf you can see the three mirror posts are mortised through and split-wedged. There are small turned posts on either side of the top smaller mirror. Which have shrunk oval with age and at the very top is a watch hutch with a Chippendale style crest. This shaped crest has had several tips and part of the broken arch restored. The rest of this circa-1820s Dresser Mirror is perfect, with no other restorations. The base. Which is supported with turned feet measures 9” wide by 13 ½” across the front by 7” tall. Gorgeous Antique VANITY SET that was produced by APOLLO Studios. NY in the 1920s. The mirror cleverly is used as the cover for the dresser box and makes a unique statement in a boudoir setting or as a showcase piece. The mirror has a lovely hand painted portrait of a young woman holding a rose and an artist's signature. It is surrounded by guilloche metal protected by hard clear plastic(plastic has an age spot) The gilt metal frame with handle sits on top of the dresser box when not in use. Up for bid is a Lovely Antique dresser top vanity mirror with drawer in what looks to be made of mahogany with the original finish with a great patina in excellent condition for its age. The mirror has the original silvering to it showing slight age to it and is still very nice to use daily. It also comes complete with all its original hardware as well. I would place the time period from around the 1920’s or so done in an early American style and would fit into several periods of furniture and make a great useful look in any home.
