When fervor for antiques of the Louis XV taste were still at a remarkable high, this very attractive French Louis XV Bureau Plat was embellished with great effort. Featuring a solid mahogany top with a molded edge, the front of the bureau plat has a long hand dovetailed drawer for storage, opening to reveal a solid golden oak interior. The keyhole escutcheon is probably the finest bronze mount on the desk, a piece that prominently features the rocaille movement around the fully functioning key and lock. The apron is shapely, the front and back mirroring the flow of the top with a slight inversion in the middle. The cabriole legs are formed with very fine gate, the tapering form nearly perfect in proportion to the table, each surmounted with an intense rocaille Gilt bronze mount with the"C" form featured actively as it curls over the entire knee- a thin reed of gilt bronze continues to flow down the leg into the beautiful Gilt bronze sabot mounts with curling toes. This is a fully functional piece. Not just being a beautiful decorative art, the form being sturdy and strong throughout with a clean writing surface. This fine desk measures 45 1/2 inches in height to the top of the gallery at the back.Height to the top at the front measures 46 inches, with a total width of 48 inches, total depth of 26 inches and this desk weighs approximately 200 lbs. The pull out writing surface measures 41 inches wide by 21 inches deep and height from the floor to the top of the writing surface measures 30 inches. The knee hole height of the desk portion measures 25 1/4 inches and knee-hole width measures 18 3/4 inches. The cylinder portion of this desk raises and lowers very smoothly and has a large brass lock mechanism on the bottom which is marked: Indianapolis Cab. Co Pat. The lock is intact but we do not have the key. The inner desk portion is beautiful maple with a multitude of various sizes of storage drawers and cubbies.The old green felt on the pull out writing surface appears original and does show some wear and some spots. The left offers a stack of four storage drawers with period dove-tailed ends and the original pulls. To the right another drawer is found with a storage cabinet below. The lock is missing from the cabinet door. As you can see in the pictures this desk could easily be in the center of a room for it is as lovely on the back as the front and is finished beautifully all the way around. This Victorian Eastlake cylinder roll desk circa 1880 is in fabulous antique condition. The desk comes with four raised panel dove tail drawers that retain all the original hardware. The center where the legs go have a reverse cove carving, which I have never seen in oak. It has a scallop bottom trim base, raised panels all the way around and a wide bevel edge on the solid tiger sawn oak top. The only negatives I see on the desk is that there is a little wear on the edge of the top from rubbing against something and there is a split going down the center of the top. We most likely could pull the top off and repair the top, which wouldn’t make a huge difference, but it is an expensive repair. The desk itself is high end quality.

I believe the age of the globe has been accurately determined. As this globe reflects Myanmar vs. Burma, a united Germany vs. West and East Germany, and with the USSR still shown. Nice solid globe that displays nicely. Tiniest of nicks along the edge of the wood base(can be seen in the first picture) Could be easily touched up with a bit of wood stain if so desired. Here is a really nice desk set for your home or office Vintage Desk Lamp and Art Deco Tape Dispenser I found this great old lamp and tape dispenser in a yard sale and had to bring them back to life. Cleaning these items and giving them a new paint job was an act of love. I am not certain that these pictures do the colors justice. The base of the lamp and the upright arm are black. The lamp cover and tape dispenser are both fire engine red. All of the electrical parts. Cord and plug are new. The tape dispenser is cast iron and weighs in at just under 7 pounds. The lamp base and arm are also cast iron and the total weight for the lamp is just a bit under 4 pounds. Add some packaging and a box to this and we are looking at a shipping weight around 15 pounds. I love this little lamp! I just wish it worked! This will be the perfect project for any of you who are electronically savvy and like to tinker with lamps. This is a Dazor Model 1001 vintage lamp. It has two gooseneck arms- what style! The shade is easily moved up and down as intended. The base measures about 8" x 5 1/2" and the shade measures about 20 1/2" x 5 1/2" The gooseneck arms are about 10" long. Vintage Dayton Floating Arm Industrial Drafting Steampunk Desk Table Lamp
This is one functional and fashionable lamp! Talk about heavy-duty. The base at the bottom is definitely weighted. This lamp works great! It comes with two bulbs- both of which are working. Assuming they travel fine in the mail- this alone will save you on cost as compared to the lamps that don't include the bulbs. This lamp also provides more light since it has two bulbs as I've noticed many just have one. It adjusts to just about any angle you'd like. Please note it does have a spot on the top of the lamp shade where the paint has rubbed off as pictured. It looks like someone had a piece of masking tape on there for years and finally removed it. It left some tape residue as well. But because the spot is on the backside of the lamp shade- it most likely won't show with the way you would typically place the lamp on a table ... moreor desk. It's not obnoxious or anything- and can just be chalked up to the character that comes with vintage items. Serviced Vintage German Desk Clock
DESCRIPTION Those that are curious. I used to sell under the ebay name fastmerchandiser. I decided recently to sell under my websites name Cloxmonkey. Up for sale is a nice Vintage Desk clock. It has been serviced and warrantied for 2 years. It is German Made and by the design. I would estimate probably from the 1930's. It is a daily winder. For me pictures are a clear indication that I have opened up the clock and performed the services you expect for the price I charge. A lot of sellers on ebay claim to have serviced the clocks they have for sale. Believe it or not some do not perform much. They do not post pictures of their"cleaned and lubricated" or"serviced" clocks which to me does not make any sense. If you cleaned the movement. Why not post pictures of it? I also shop on here and most of the time, clocks that ... morewere cleaned by some local"clockmaker" are just as bad. I have received many through my shop that were repaired by someone local to the buyer and nearly every time the clocks were not given the proper treatment. Which is why they come to me for proper work. Clocks will be posted on ebay for a month or two then move to my site if they do not sell. So if you do not see one that you were interested in. It may just be waiting on my site. Now. Let's start with how good this clock looks: Clock measurements: 3.5" High including the hanging loop 2" Wide 2.0" Deep The dial and hands are in excellent condition. Keep in mind it is not hard to crack one of these open and simply tell you what the date stamp is without performing proper servicing. For me pictures prove that I have been there and have performed. Take a look at how clean the movement is. Clock required light repairs and is keeping excellent time. The hairspring was replaced sometime in the past. Below is a close up of the balance and time train. Look very carefully. You will notice absolutely no dirt. Fuzz, hair, old oils or grease; nada absolutely nothing. I am not kidding. This 2 1/4 x 3 1/2" desk mirror is in excellent condition with the exception of a mirror defect shown on the top edge of the mirror in the picture. The cardboard backing is not stained and looks great. There are 2 staples in the back. It appears as though the staples held a small calendar to the cardboard backing. Antique Vintage E Ingraham 4 Column Faux Marble Cathedral Gong Mantle Desk Clock
Hello and welcome to our auction! We are offering this Great Antique E. Ingraham Mantle clock! I think it is an Ingraham clock because we just sold one similiar to this. There is a tag but not able to make our print. This clock has a beautiful look with intricate detailing. Such as uniquely etched bra ss legs. Marble swirl design painted on the wood pillars, and etched design around clock face. We have the ori ginal round glass piece(not sure if original) that needs mounted into the clock. We have the original pendulum. The clock measures about 17" x 6" from the base lets and 11 14/ inches tall. Overall. It appears to be in very good condition for it's age. It has a few flaws which include, some minor imperfections on glass, one of clock hands is missing. There are a few minor imperfections in the wood including very tiny chip ... moreon back cover.
