There is a little card in the drawer from 1967 that could have been ... morefrom an antique store or a repair store. The bottles are ever so slightly turning amethyst in my opinion. One has the entire top part loose but can be easily attached. There is also a line in the crystal(these are pretty heavy) that might be something going on in the glass. It looks like an inner crack on the top part and then there is somewhat the same type line on the bottom part as well. The other one is in better shape. Still. These are really really old and thus the blemishes. The inkwell has black paint on some parts that is wearing but I think that is all original. The drawer opens and closes. There are some dings and such but I think the picture tells a good story. The contents of this storage unit were from Sweden, and so if you look on my other auctions you will see the antique finds that were found with it. Thank you. Oh, the size of the box is about ten inches by six and a half inches by three inches. The handle is secure. Thank you. I am suspecting 50s or 60s, but I am no expert on vintage furniture provenance(Antiques Roadshow lingo again. could be older. It is solid wood construction with a laminated desk top on wood. The steel hardware and wood fittings are all in good shape and the chair is tight and serviceable. Its original finish shows obvious signs of wear and regular use and was probably actually in a public school environment in its day. There is still some gum residue(though any actual gum"wads" have long since been removed) under the seat and table! It measures about 32" high overall with a 17 1/2" wide by 17" deep seat. 17" seat to floor height. As big as the seat is I suspect it could have been in a High School or even college study or lecture hall, probably not a lower grade elementary school. An average adult can fit in this one just fine. Would be awkward to pack for shipping, but I can arrange private carrier blanket wrap shipping if you'd like to send me details of your location for an estimate(range is usually about $80-150 depending on destination) Otherwise local pickup in Milwaukee/Waukesha area is free. Overall very good condition with wear, creases, and light scuffing to the covers and cover edges. Previous owners name and business in black magic marker on the first blank page. I inhereted a bunch of old furniture out of my Grandmothers estate. I would like to sell it as a lot but will devide up if someone is interested in a particular item and I can't sell it as a lot. This furniture is good for someone who collects and/or restores old furniture. A few of the pieces are in very good condition while the others need some TLC. I don't know what kind of wood it is, where it originated from or exactly how old each piece is. You will get all 14 pieces in this lot. There are 14 pieces all together 1 Tapestry Rocking Chair- ... moreLooks like tapestry to me. Soft material. Looks like possibly a religious scene on the seat. Matching material on the head rest. Larger chair with spindles and matching legs. It appears all the pieces are here but it needs someone who knows how to restore it. I was told this piece is possibly French from the very early 1800's but once again, Im not sure just how accurate that information/ date is. 1 Swivel Bankers Chair/ Desk Chair by Northwest Chair Company- I did find out this company only produced furniture in the early 1900's. Appears someone painted it gray 2 Misc Wood Chairs- one in ok condition. Other needs major repair- good for parts 4 Rockers- 1890’s Wood and Cane Victorian Era Lincoln Style Rocking Chair- this is what I was told it is and by researching it. It does resemble all the ones I can find) very sturdy, you can rock in it, cane all looks good, Bentwood style cane/wicker rocker- I don't know what the difference is between cane or wicker. Wood is all sturdy but seat needs some repair. Blue colonial rocker- Solid wood. Sturdy, great mechanical condition, has paint wear. Dark wood with painted head rest- Needs spindles reinforced. 2 kids Student Desks
