Has one pin to hold the white glass shade and is Im pretty sure for a three way bulb. In great shape for age. Very minimal wear of black basicaly in one part that I see. Whole thing measures about 28 inches tall at the loop x 18. On the bottom is a metal plate that does have some rust but it doesnt affect the lamp. The shade is meant to fit perfectly on the white glass shade so it doesnt move. I dont know if it would hold a glass chimney or not but it doesnt look like it was intended for that. I think the hole at the top is to let out the heat. You will love it. It will need to go parcel post due to being oversize and to cut down on shipping cost. Grab it before someone else does. This small side chair with a cane seat is adorable and built extremely well of good solid wood construction and can be used as a desk chair. Side chair, sewing chair garden chair or dining seat. French Country style. Ivory. Marked Oct 1911 and a shop mark I can not quite read, something wicker shop. Very charming details to the back of the chair that are great left as is and have a lot of character to be highlighted if painted. The height is 34 inches with a seat height of 17 inches and the width is 17 inches as well. I used it in a guest room with the matching tall chest on chest(listed separately) Large dresser and mirror(listed separately) and nightstands as well as a bench(Listed separately. Up for sale is this vintage French Louis XV Provincial style wood secretary desk. I believe it is from the 50's and has a makers mark on the side of the drawer as seen in the picture. It looks like an R burned in a circle. This is a stunning desk that is in very good condition. It is painted black with gold trim and the top is yellow leather with gold trim. There is some surface crazing to the finish of the leather and signs of wear to some of the gold. But I think it only adds to the beauty of the piece. It comes from a private Conn estate and measures 29" x 53 1/2" x 21 1/2" The drawer has a brass pull and is 31" wide. I have it listed for local pick up only but shipping arrangements can be made. VINTAGE 1974 ORIGINAL THOMASVILLE FRENCH PROVINCIAL DESK SOFA TABLE & CHAIR
We are pleased to offer this FABULOUS. EXCEPTIONAL, vintage writing desk or sofa table and matched chair. This is a French Provincial style set manufactured by Thomasville and dated 1974. Both the desk and chair are made of solid oak(no veneer) and have their original, antiqued(golden) whitewashed finish. The desk features beautiful curves and cabriole legs. There are carved/incised details on the legs and a hooved foot detail. The drawer fronts and scalloped apron have raised trim that accentuate the curved lines of the desk. The incised areas have a subtle golden finish while the raised areas have a more natural finish. There are 3 functioning drawers on the desk front and these are adorned with the original, ornate hardware. The desk top is very nice with a tone-on-tone parquetry inlay. The back of the desk is finished in the same manor ... moreas the front and sides. It has a scalloped apron with raised trim. The arm chair is quite lovely and features spindle. Turned wood, accents on the chair back and under the arm rests. The chair has a beautiful, slightly pearlescent, white vinyl(could be leather, but I don't think so) It has a curved top with a shell accent in the center of the back top. It features cabriole legs as well. This is a gorgeous pair. Both are very high end pieces. They are heavy and very sturdy. There is some minor evidence of age to the finish in a couple of areas. It is not severe or distracting and does add to the aged character of the set. The arm chair has more wear to one arm with some loss of the finish and a small. Surface split in the wood(picture# 10) It is not terribly distracting and could be resolved. It does not affect the structural integrity of the chair at all. The vinyl is very good with no splits, cracks or peeling. It is still soft and has not hardened with age. The padding is also good with no sagging. The desk is substantial. A French Provincial style Writing Desk with a Distressed Look. Circa 1970's. We are pleased to present this vintage 1970's era French Provincial Writing Desk for your consideration. It features Queen Anne style cabriole legs with carved knees and feet along with other carved details and decorative trim. The back of this piece is finished. So it can be placed in an open setting if desired. The Desk has overall measurements of 30-1/2 inches high. 52 inches wide, and 24 inches deep. The top surface is slightly less, measuring 50-1/2 inches wide and 22 inches deep. Four side drawers accompany a center writing drawer and provide a moderate amount of storage space.
