It has three small pull out drawers on the inside with the middle drawer having a lift up mirror and there are three larger drawers below the desk area. The inside of the desk also has a couple of cubby shelves. If you look below the second shelf you can see someone has cut a small hole to pass cords through. I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. There are a couple of very small little marks or bumps but nothing major and overall it is in Very Good used condition. This Would Be A Very Stylish Addition To Any Home! Condition: Unspecified Location: Moorpark, United States I am not an expert but an antique furniture appraiser looked at this piece recently and stated this is a unique desk that he's never seen one quite ... morelike it. It was likely made in the early 1900's. Made of oak. And has a spooncarved front. There are no identifying markings. It is in excellent shape and it has the original finish. Brass fittings show a bit of tarnish but should clean up easily with a little TLC. Three of the posts on the brass rail at the top are loose but can be easily secured with a little bit of attention. One of the rail ends is stripped so that will need to be secured as well. Otherwise this piece is ready for your home. I would be happy to provide more detailed photos if requested. I hate to part with such a beautiful and unique item but we no longer have the room and it just doesn't fit our decor. The dimensions are 40 1/2” tall its tallest point. 33 1/2“ wide at its widest point at the base, and 19” deep when closed,and 34“ deep when opened. Local pickup only.

I'm listing lots of newly acquired vintage paper. Ephemera and photos this weekend! Here is an extraordinary historical photo! The cabinet card measures 12" by 14" You can see that the seven men seated are all wearing uniforms with various insignia. They are seated under a tent with another tent behind them. You can just make out a horse on the far side. I am not at all an expert on military history, but on the back you can see written in light pencil, General Morton U.S. Secretary of War 1898' I have not researched this at all(I have too much to list) so not sure who the others are, or where, etc. A very clear, fine image showing the least bit of wear! Antique Queen Anne Desk Secretary. Solid Cherry.
I practically swooned when I saw this piece of furniture. This Queen Anne style is one of my favorites. With the cabriole legs in front and the straight legs in back. The hardware on this piece is simply gorgeous, but it is the patina on the old cherry that really knocked me out. Plus, it is solid as a rock, even after all this time. There had been a gallery around the top that broke in two places so I had to take it off-a loss but there is so much else dreamy about this piece that it is hardly missed. I have the two remaining pieces and could send them along in case you want to hire someone to build the missing link. The carving of a lion in the center is gorgeous. Everything about this piece is high quality and first rate. It is 38" tall and 26" deep when open, 14 1/2" deep when closed. 27 1/4" wide. For shipping. Very nice solid mahogany Chippendale Governor Winthrop desk/secretary. Wonderfully constructed desk with very clean lines and detail. You see similar desks often and this one is so so much better! Solid wood even the lattice work in the upper doors. Check out the interior it is spectacular also. The finial in the center of the broken arched top is fine. Just all details are spot on. It has very little of it left but there is a John Widdicomb paper tag on the back and explains the quality. I date this circa 1920-30 at best. This antique oak half curio cabinet half secretary is in great condition! It is approximately 100 years old. There is no documentation we just know that is has been in the family for 3 generations. With no documentation all the information I have is based on family stories. It is the original finish and the only marring is on one foot(shown in picture) The back appears to have one patch and the mirror is re-enforced(I do not know if that was done originally or later) Also there is some type of packing material visible on the back where the secretary and the curio meet. The curio cabinet is a curved door with adjustable shelves. This is the original glass! The secretary portion has the original mirror and carvings around the mirror. It has a drop down desk and slots for letters and pens behind the drop down portion. There are three drawers ... moreunderneath the desk. The bottom one curves slightly out and the top two are flat surfaced. There is an ink stain in the top drawer(shown in picture) It measures 70" tall. 36" long, and 12" wide. I have an awesome mid century danish modern wall unit for sale. I've only found one of these online and they described it as teak. I'm not sure if it is or not. It's in wonderful condition. But there are a few very small imperfections here and there. There is a small chip in the hand on the right side(pictured) Almost perfect though! It measures 72 x 42 x 15.5. It has a drop down door on the front. The right hinge is popped out of place(pictured) but it could probably be glued back(it doesn't affect how the piece operates at all) It is a one of a kind! Johnson and later the campagin manager for Robert Kennedy’s presidential campaign. When Senator Kennedy was shot to death in June, Salinger was 10 to 12 feet away from him. I think it's Dark Walnut. 2 small hidden drawers inside. See photo#4. Claw foot, nice craftsmanship. It does have some scratches in it. It's not a perfect piece. It also has some dark brown paint or stain on the left side, that might of been done at the manufacturer, I don't know. But, it is still a beautiful piece to have in the home. Masterfully carved 19th century Portuguese contador/secretary
This is the kind of furniture you very rarely find nowadays. In Brazilian or Cuban mahogany with brass details in the front of drawers and the sides. This magnificent contador(used to count money) consists of two parts. The top, where the drawers are, and the bottom, where it boasts of wonderful carvings, like the two amorous doves that constitute the main adornment of the pierced apron. The legs show the characteristic twist of the Portuguese and Spanish style, while near the feet, where the stretchers meet other brass details appear and brass knobs protrude. In very good condition save little wood shrinking due to age. Original patina. Height: 52 1/2" width: 29 1/4" depth: 15 1/2"

Secretary desk with fold down writing surface and glass front upper bookshelf
Selling my childhood secretary desk that my parents purchased at an antique store in Vermont back in the 1980's. I am not sure of the purchase price. The age, or the wood type. The stain is a chestnut color. The desk are two parts. The approximate dimensions of the lower secretary desk part are 36 inches tall, 34.5 inches wide, 19 inches deep. The approximate dimensions of the upper bookshelf part are 33 inches tall. 32 inches wide at the bottom(where it rest on the secretary desk) and 36.5 inches tall(from the top moulding trim) 11.5 inches deep. The drawers have dovetail construction and all four drawers open and close fully. The handles. Hinges, and hardware appear to be brass(not positive of the material) One of the eight handles came out of the hinge socket. I have the handle loose so it can be reattached and repaired. The bookshelf ... moreunit has a glass front. The glass is in good shape with some sticker residue which needs to be cleaned. The very top of the bookshelf has a circular mark which appears to be where the previous owner(s) kept a plant. On the fold down writing desk there is a small chip in the wood on the left hand corner. There are four holes on top of the secretary desk where the bookcase is attached also there are scratches and wear from the bookcase rests(these are not visible when the desk is attached) The back has rough unfinished wood showing. The fold down writing surface is fully functional. It folds down and rests on the upper drawer which pulls out. Feel free to ask any questions if you need further description or clarification.
