This beautifully crafted desk has a"boomerang" shaped asymmetrical top with rolled edges and sculptural legs with brass detail. It has three drawers. With the top drawer having a built in sliding tray. In the front, there is a bookcase/storage area and a locking mirrored bar compartment with a shelf. The original key locks both the top drawer and the front compartment. Stamped on the bottom- Lovig, Dansk Designs, Denmark. The bottom drawer is stamped with the year of manufacture- 1967. Pedersen and Hansen was a studio based in Viby. Denmark. Very nice vintage condition. A few very small nicks here and there that are only visible upon close inspection. One significant bruise to a back corner as shown in the pictures. I'd rate it an 8/10. Simply a beautiful piece. 24" long by 9" deep by 6 1/2" high. Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Desk Kai Kristiansen Executive Secertary Office
Mid Century Danish Modern teak executive floating desk designed by Kai Kristiansen. The desk measures 5ft long x 28.5" tall x 28 3/4" deep. This desk has not been refinished. There are many surfaces scratches in the top and around the unit. Please enlarge each photograph and inspect them carefully as they are part of the description. The desk has 3 bookshelf boxes on the back. Original. There were two skeleton key locked doors on each end, with the center open. There was one door missing when I bought this, so I removed the doors on each side and filled in the lock and screw holes. You can see these old spots in pictures 7& 8. The very right bookshelf(looking at it) has a lighter teak tone on the bottom of the shelf from sanding. Please notice the color variation in picture 9. Rare Mid Century Modern Eames Danish Denmark Dansk Lovig Flip Top Teak Desk!
This is a wonderful and rare vintage mid century modern Dansk Lovig teak wood flip top desk. This desk is in great shape considering it is 50-60 years old! It has some light wear and light scratches on the worktop. One of the wood handles has been repaired and one is missing part of it, you should be able to see in the pictures. It has a couple of tiny holes in the underside from a couple of screws that were put into it by its former owner and also has a small repair to the veneer on one side. It measures approximately 29 inches high by 64 inches long and 29 inches deep, when the top is in the flipped up position the desk measures 34 inches overall. One drawer has a lock, but we do not have the key, replacement locks can be bought if you really need to lock the drawer. Amazing set of 3 teak wood cabinets from a mid century modern wall unit system. The cabinets come from the estate of the original owner and have been tucked away for years. We haven't been able to locate the rails. Hardware or other cabinets but if they do show up, I will list them asap. The cabinets are in excellent condition and only show signs of normal age. No damage, no water marks. One cabinet has a drop down door with a lock but I have no key so I can't open it. Two cabinets measure 27"wide x 12"deep x 17" tall and the larger cabinet measures 27"wide x 16"deep x 21" tall. Each cabinet has holes on the side so they can be mounted to supports. It is a terrific piece for those looking for a smaller design without sacrificing high style(check out those Kagan style legs! The base slips under a bed. Chair or sofa and the height adjusts to make it comfortable for reading or writing. It would also work well for your laptop or tablet. The larger section of the top slants to make it even more comfortable for reading and it has stops to keep your book or tablet from sliding off. It appears to have once been electrified, and has since been modified to use a AA battery operated movement, accessible via a removable teak back panel. Back is also stamped with the number 249. 1960s Mid Century Modern Desk Unusual Atomic piece, large teak slab
This is an unusual Atomic Desk/casual table. The top is a solid single piece of Teak. 27" by 63" by 2" thick. The desk is 29" high. Very cool to find a slab that big! The swooping atomic legs are also from teak. There is a built in shelf at each leg. I have had this piece in my collection for more than ten years, and have used it as a desk. a few minor water marks on the top, but can easily be buffed out. I have priced it to move as I am downsizing. NOTE: there is a crack in the top typical of large slabs. See photos. Not unusual these cracks are seen in many Nakashima live edge pieces with big slabs, and he ususally put in a contrasting wood butterfly piece. I did not butterfly the crack as has stabilized.
