It is a lovely little piece measuring 39" tall. 27" across and 15" deep. It is in nice condition given it's age, but it does have a small chip out of the front right corner post. You can see it in the photos. The interior is plain with no shelves, drawers or cubbies. The information that I received from the appraisal company is as follows: The drop front oak(not quarter-sawn oak) writing desk is a Mission style Arts and Crafts desk; there is a keyhole in the top of the fall front and a small gallery or backplate on the top back of the desk. There is an"H" stretcher in the middle bottom of the desk and a vertical"X" stretcher on each bottom side of the desk; the legs are quadrant legs; there is one drawer with round brass pulls beneath the fall front. I would date the desk C. 1900-1915; the value would be between $625.00 and $700.00 in today's retail market. Due to the size of this item it will not be available for shipping. It has burl walnut panels coming down both sides, heavy crown molded top and a crest with big ball finials on each end. It has a commode base with three drawers and a door. The only thing I don’t like about this cylinder desk is that the finish is light, similar to a cherry, but it is walnut wood. It has the original heavy bold brass hardware, and is in really nice shape. The pull-out writing surface has green felt on it. When you open the double panel cylinder roll, it reveals a simplistic double drawer interior that is simplistic.

Antique Lap Writing Desk Folding Oak Wood Bone Box Travel Portable Brass Hinges
For sale is this exquisite antique lap writing desk. It does have some condition issues. Which is why my opening bid is low for this type of quality. Someone re-lined the interior with green felt. Both interior wood surfaces are off their hinges, and it appears to be missing two slats by the ink well holders. However, this was really an upscale item for its time. Both wood surfaces inside the box have breadboard edges. I believe the material for the lock and top accent pieces is bone. They have been inlaid and pinned. The pinned brass corners were beautifully constructed. Has a little copper stop inside to hold the table down. Made of oak, it measures approx. 4 1/2" h x 12 3/4" w x 7 3/4" d. This Chinese carved wood box was bought at an upscale estate and is very old 19th century. The carving is so detailed and deep on the top and all 4 sides. There are some chips to the carving you can see in photos if you look close and the nail has come loose on the border as shown and a crack on bottom. I think for its age its in excellent condition but could use a cleaning. I have taken large photos to try and show the detail and beauty of this rare Chinese box. Thank you for looking at this auction for this antique American solid wood clock frame. The frame has a wonderful design with the bell curved top resting on a slightly footed and wider base. The back of the clock has the top and base flush to one another so it can be placed directly against a wall or other flat surface. It appears that it is made of mahogany and has clock mounting bezel that appears to be made of brass and tin. It measures 12-1/2 inches long. 5-3/4 inches tall, 2-1/4 inches wide at the base and 1-3/4 inches wide in the bell curved top where the clock face is mounted. The opening for the clock itself is 3-1/2 inches in diameter without the bezel. The interior diameter of the bezel itself is 3-1/4 inches. A nice American antique clock frame. There are simulated Brass Corners(Brass Coloring) and a simulated Brass(Brass Coloring) insert on the Cover. There has been a repair made to the Latch/Lock by a previous owner so there is a Bent-over Nail that protrudes from the cover. The Nail could easily be removed. Interesting Antique Ebonized Wood Desk Set Pieces Odd pieces. Found in an old estate. Beautiful hand-decorated/carved wood base piece and two separate turned wood holders/cups One brass lidded ink well attached to marble base. Heavy ebonized wood. Very smooth, possibly walnut, base piece measures 11inches x 7-3/4 inches x 1/2 inch thick. There are drilled holes that go partially thru and some the whole way thru the piece. I would guess it was attached to a marble base or similar with other parts attached. Brass ink well has hinged lid and is attached to a marble base. Does not fit into the wood piece. Please see the photos and ask any questions as it is not easy to describe. Not sure how it all came together. But all is in very good condition. An enigma to me. ANTIQUE Early 1900's Wood & Metal (Cast iron?) SCHOOL DESK - Photography Prop
For auction is a sweet little antique student school desk with a pull out drawer underneath. I was told it is probably from the early 1900's. But I'm not quite sure. It is very heavy and constructed of both wood and metal, which I believe is painted cast iron because of its weight. The metal has rust throughout and the top wooden part of the desk does have some movement. It appears the connecting bar underneath has snapped and will need to be soldered. But overall, this little school desk looks nice, even the way it is. The wood is still in great shape. Hard to come by one like this. Would make a nice photography prop for youngsters. It measures@24.5" high to the top of the seat(the back of chair) and the seat itself sits at@11.5" The wood tray measures@ 20" x 14" at the widest points. for auction is a very rare r j horner true partner's desk. rare because this is the only one in this model i have seen of horner's. Second it is made of cherry wood and is extremely heavy. i rarely see horner pieces in chery. the secondaries are quartersawn oak. i have taken a picture of one of the drawer side to show the oak. as you can see it does have the typical horner carving on the top of the desk, drawer fronts and sides as well as legs. it is a true partner's desk with no fake drawers on one side. it has 3 side drawers on each side and a long keyed drawer over the kneww hole. it is a large desk being 54 inches wide and 34 inches deep. with big casters on it, it stands 32 inches tall. i put the casters on so i could move it once in place it does not need casters as there is ample leg room in the knee hole. it is all original ... moreand has never been refinished. it has the original drawer pulls with fierce griffin heads on them and the original key the top of which is two dolphins with their tails touching to complete the key. it has the nicest carved, fluted, and contoured legs. there are no missing glue blocks as far as i can tell and is the sturdiest piece of furniture i think i have ever handled. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay intact. it sits level, no warps, no wiggles no nothing. it is in great condition. i think i paid like 6000 for it many years ago. i am starting it for much less. i have so much stuff, i can barely walk thru the house so i am trying to get rid of a few larger pieces. the lucky buyer can pick it up at my home or it can be shipped at buyer's expense. good luck. i do have a lot more pictures, but ebay only allows me 12. if you want anything else please ask.
