Here is a gorgeous solid walnut Empire Revival bookcase from about 1880. Only two shelves are shown in the photos. However, there are four removable/adjustable shelves. The lock sets are original in the door and drawers and there are two keys which both. Easy to transport and to break down and set up. This bookcase has the base, the crown and then, basically, a stack of wood to include the two glass doors. Height to the top = 92" Height to top of base = 16 3/4" Depth at base = 20 1/2" Depth at center of bookcase = 13 1/2" Width at the top = 57" Width at base = 51" This beautiful and unusual bookcase came out of a well known estate here in Charleston. It is in ready to use condition.and in antique condition. The hinges are original and the screws to attach to case piece are replaced and those on the doors are ... moreoriginal. A very attractive antique. Circa 1880's, Eastlake style plain oak open bookcase, with shelves for magazines, or what nots. It is screw and glue construction. It has steam pressed"spoon carved" stylized florals. There is a brass bar across to hang a curtain down front. Bookcase measures 56" tall by 28-1/4" wide by 13" deep, the book shelves 10" deep. Excellent condition: oak without cracks, original finish, scuffing and minor chipping to feet.

A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, solid mahogany, and stripped mahogany veneers, double door bookcase. The case has curved front corners carved with spiraling acanthus leaves. Large carved claw feet are on front. The case sides and the top board are solid mahogany. Each door has the original wavy glass panel, brass escutcheons, and the key(the two locks are missing their catch. each compartment holds three adjustable mahogany stained maple board shelves. It measures 56-1/4" tall by 54" wide by 15" deep, the shelves 11-1/4" deep. Excellent condition: beautiful original finish, no chips or cracks to mahogany boards, veneers without chips. The glass panels are undamaged.

Aesthetic Victorian Solid Mahogany Bookcase with Side Cabinet& Gallery with 2 Keys c1890 Being offered for sale is this spectacular Aesthetic Victorian Solid Mahogany Bookcase with a side cabinet and 2 keys circa 1890's. This fine 19th century bookcase features incredible carvings and details and has its original old wavy glass. Original square beveled mirrors and all the brass hardware also appears original as well as the rich finish. This bookcase has a wonderful brass and mahogany gallery on the top with incredible detailed carved leaves above the door on the left with a gold gilded panel of fretwork below and the original square beveled mirrors, pierced carvings and a display shelves above the door on the right with a original beveled glass door side cabinet with a small storage drawer below. The tasseled key works the locks on ... moreboth doors and inside the cabinet are four adjustable shelves on the left side and three on the right. At the base additional storage is offered with the two storage drawers below each having the original Lion face brass pulls and period dove-tailed ends on the drawers. The locks are intact on the drawers and there is a key but the locks seem stuck. This splendid bookcase is solid and tight and an excellent example of the Aesthetic Victorian era of design and is definitely a statement making piece. This bookcase is in wonderful antique condition with no issues we can find, there is however an old repair to the top left side that appears secure and not an issue, see close-up in the last picture. Antique Globe Wernicke barrister bookcase mode; 299. With 4 sections(D8, 2 x D10, D12) top, and legs. I believe it is from the early 1900's. This is a restoration project, one d10 has a broken glass, the door hardware on all will needs some cleaning and tweaking, one iron band is starting to detach, the veneer inside is damaged in one or two pieces, top is delaminating, the base is broken and other minor problems. Eill also need a thorough cleaning and possibly a stain refinish. It is made of oak, a few pieces look like tiger oak, the existing finish is very dark. Mid 19th Century Rare Carved Solid Oak Bookcase On Cupboards
Hi. This is a stunning old piece of furniture dating back to mid 19th century. As you can see it's been hand carved with lovely features all around it. It is made from oak so is very solid and heavy but comes in two so it's not to bad to move around. There's is signs of wear around this item as to be expected with age. Also as you can see on my photos there is one of the feet missing but still sits level. Could easily be replaced if need be. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, plain oak two glass door bookcase, with steam pressed scroll designs. There is a beveled glass mirror on the back crest, with two nicknack shelves spindle supported. There are four original oak adjustable shelves, one with plate groove. Doors include the original brass pull and lock, no key. The left glass door panel is original wavy, the right panel is new glass. Bookcase measures 6'4" 68" tall by 13-1/4" deep, the shelves 10-3/4" deep, by 3' 36" wide. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks, unworn original finish. Mirror has some backing cloudiness, all glass without damage.

There are two glass pane doors, with ornamental Gothic arch tops, each door with eight glass panes. Six mahogany stained maple adjustable shelves and back boards. The drawer base has flame mahogany veneers on drawer, original mahogany knobs. The furniture measures 7'6" 89-1/2" tall by 4' 48" wide by 18" deep, the shelves 11" deep. Very good plus condition: original finish, doors with lock, no key. Six panes on one door are new glass replacements, the rest old wavy glass. Small veneer chip top front edge of drawer case.
