The ... morelectern rack is missing the single piece of wood of bottom molding. The lectern opens and closes as desired. It has a gadroon edge. It is finished in a dark walnut stain. I think the wood could be walnut the more I look at it in this dark finish. The overall size is 21 inches square and 35 inches high overall. Each section is 10 inches wide, 7 inches deep, 11 inches high and 12 inches high on the bottom shelf. It is missing a few of the brass tacks, but overall it is complete. The bottom of one of the sections has a crack and oval stain, which has no effect on the bookcase. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.

Beautiful 1885 Antique Revolving Black Walnut and Brass Bookcase w/ Book Rest This is a beautiful rare antique revolving library bookcase table that has a metal tag on the front top edge that reads; The CIN Cabinet Co. Cincinnati Patented May 5. 1885. This cabinet is made of black walnut with the center pole possibly being a different hardwood. The cabinet is removable from the center pole, which is topped by a bearing, allowing the cabinet to smoothly rotate a full 360 degrees, with no stop point. The center pole is mounted to the crossed X base and the legs have a reeded groove design and hardwood casters. Brass tubing forms the shelf ends. The top has a built-in flip up bookrest, which can be lowered for a flat top. There is shelf space on all 4 sides. Highly sought after original Danner revolving bookcase in its original mahogany finish. Condition is good. Perhaps better. THe spindles are all attached and very good. The top of the bookcase has two wood separations, as shown, otherwise, this bookcase would be very good. Still very functional-turns properly. Original casters, etc. Some of the inside shelves have stain marks from old stains, etc but overall, a very nice representation of a Victorian Danner piece. Stamped"CW 60" Item# 120011TRP10 This is a fine antique Edwardian revolving bookcase. Crafted of solid golden mahogany, the top a single thick plank edged by carved molding over two levels of bookshelves. These are set at two distinct heights(10" top, 12" bottom) that allow it to comfortably hold most average size books. The sides are crafted of four shaped mahogany slats, each secured to the case with rounded screws, achieving the breezy and transparent overall aura associated with most fine pieces of the Edwardian period. The entire case spins with remarkable ease on thick dowel system inside of the case, presumably utilizing some kind of bearing inside for to account for the smoothness ... moreof the rotation(we have not taken it apart to see exactly what the mechanism is inside, but it is very strong and very smooth) This rests over four splayed feet locked together with a forged iron cross, resting over original caster wheels. This is a very cool Danner style bookcase which stands about 5' 8" tall. 4 Sided with clear acrylic or lucite tube slats. Looks to be made from veneered MDF or particle board. The shelves are made of have some sort of pliable but study plastic. Vinyl? Shelves are black in color. Piece could use a cleaning as it's pretty dusty and there is old label or sticker residue on one part. The black plastic or vinyl shelves have a few small dents or impressions. This is a very nice revolving tabletop shelf. It could be for small books or nic nacs. It is 15 1/2" tall by 12" wide. The cubby holes are 6 1/2"x6" In comes in two parts. The top shelves(photos 1 to 10) that swivel on the base(photo 11 and 12) I took different shades of the top piece to show how it was constructed and that there are two seperations between boards, but book case is very sturday, not loose. This solid tiger oak piece is signed with the stenciled"Danner Trade Mark" AND.under the bottom section there is a partial. But legible oval paper label that reads"Paine Furniture Company" The Paine Furniture Company was founded in Boston in 1835! They were a manufacturer. But by 1872 they also retailed other fine furniture from other companies(Danner was one) This bookcase has large and very fancy hobnails that I've only seen once before.possibly a special order from the Paine Furniture Company. Antique Revolving Wood Bookcase, Early 1900's Eastlake Style Base, Handmade?
Hi. This is a lovely little revolving bookcase. It's a red pine with 3 grooved pine strips on each side. Base is made with an East-lake style design decoration. I would guess circa to be early 1900's. The top has a more brownish color to it which accents the piece. I am selling as found from an estate sale. It stands approx 29 inches high from top to floor with the top measuring 16 x 15 3/4 inches and 11 1/2 across the bottom of the base. Two shelves for books or display measuring 7 3/4 inch high on the top one and 10 1/2 high on the bottom shelf. Revolving motion is smooth and sturdy. There are pieces that have been re-glued and replaced on this. This piece stands 44 7/8" high. The top is 20 1/8" square and the base is 19" wide. The height of the space between the shelves measures as follows from top to bottom: 10 1/16" 10 1/8" 12.25" This is an antique piece that has been restored. The finish is smooth and shiny and there are no surface scratches on this. There are some age and use appropriate dings under the finish that give this piece great character. Here is a very early and RARE Tiger Oak Danner Revolving Bookcase in the'Fumed Oak' finish that was used very often in the Arts and Crafts(Stickley Era) by most makers of Mission Oak furniture. The Paine Furniture(established in 1835) company sold Danner bookcases of this type in the 1880's through the early 1900's with the wider slats and decorative hobnails. This was probably a special order during those years. There are a few"scars of time" that only add authenticity and charm to this treasure. Overall measurements are 26" square and 58" high. There are four levels with 16 bookcase sections. All measuring 16" wide, 7" deep and 11" high. Besides being a fantastic bookcase, Danners are great for holding HUNDREDS of CD's, DVD's and your prized Collectables! The stenciled"Danner ... moreTrade Mark" is seen on a top level section. THERE ARE NO MANUFACTURING MARKINGS THAT I CAN SEE BUT I THINK IT IS A DANNER FROM THE RESEARCH I HAVE DONE. ITS BEEN IN THE FAMILY THROUGH THREE GENERATIONS AND IS IN REALLY GOOD CONDITION. SCUFFS AND TINY DINGS BUT NO BREAKAGE. LOTS OF DUST. IT HAS 4 TIERS AND LITTLE BRASS OR METAL BUTTONS ALONG THE STRIPS OF WOOD. SOME BUTTON ARE LOSE AND BENT BUT YOU CAN STRAIGHTEN THEM.
