Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. Antique Art Metal Stacking Bookcase Machine Age Industrial 3 Section
Great stacking bookcase circa 1940 from the machine age start of the midcentury modern period. It has a sticker on the top front that reads ART METAL JAMESTOWN? NEW YORK USA- Bookcase is metal but original finish is made to look like mahogany. As you can see one window needs replaced and there is some wear to the finish and spotty rust spots but overall very presentable. No dents. Both top and bottom remove leaving 3 matching stackable sections. Doors work nicely. Overall size is 52" tall by 32 3/4' wide by 18" deep plus a little additional for the knobs. Broken down each section is about 15" tall plus another 3/8" indented section for the next stack to fit on. Actual working size-that is the amount of room you have for the books giving clearance for the door and door mechanisms are 17 1/4" deep. 30 1/8" ... morewide by 12" tall. After you get away from the side brackets-a book or so-you get a little more than 12" Each section weighs about 45 lbs These were the start of the metal stacking bookcase era-you'll find later issues that were made for the US government in gray. Up for consideration is a fine 3 stack Humphrey Widman Mahogany side paneled bookcase. The bookcase measures 34 inches wide by 48 1/4 inches high. The top sections are 12 inches deep by 10 1/2 inches high. The bottom section is 15 inches deep by 14 1/2. wide at the bottom. The leg has a saber kick out leg. 1900-1915 Globe Wernicke Quarter Sawn Oak Stacking Bookcase Section that has the banded sides and is all original with original sticker in the back Pattern 113 grade 299 Standard E 13 1/2 unit Globe Wernicke Co. It is approx 13 1/2" deep 34" wide and 15 1/2" tall. The original glass is good. The back is still very solid and has the original pull which is a little crooked due to the fact that the screw is bent that is attached to the pull. The scissor hardware for the door is all there. The two boards on the top are good and strong. It is a little dirty but will clean up nicely. Pictures will show you views of this item. Vintage Steelcase Industrial Metal Stacking Lawyers Barrister Bookcase w/o Base
For auction is one vintage 2-tier Steelcase lawyers bookcase. It features two identical sections with retractable glass doors and the top cap with the Steelcase logo. But does not have a base. A base would need to be made for it, but even a simple, rectangular wood base(painted or stained) would do. It would also be ideal for adding sections to an existing stack. It is painted a silvery gray color and has light marks and scratches common to age and use. Though one side is more heavily scratched than the other from being laid on its side and slid(pictured) One of the sections also has a couple of small dents(pictured) It has been thoroughly cleaned and polished and is ready for use. Antique Early 1900's Globe Wernicke Lawyers Oak Stacking Bookcase
Lovely early 1900's Globe wernicke stacking quartersawn oak bookcase. 3 stacking units with a seperate contour top and contour base for a total of 5 pieces. Bookcase is stained black. All sections labeled Globe Wernicke Grade 297 which is quartersawn figured weathered oak. All sections have original bands around each unit. Each section has original brass knob on door, and each section has original antique wavy glass. All doors open easily and have original scissor mechanisims. The metal side rails are not present inside the doors where the doors slide back on each section. Lovely. Local pick up and paypal. I would work with you if you contact a private moving company.

c1909 Globe-Wernicke Stacking Mission Style Bookcase
Welcome! Well what can I can about this wonderful antique bookcase? First of all I will tell you this is all original and it has all three of its original label on each section of this stacking bookcase and they are also in nice condition. This was made by the Globe-Weniche Company c1906 and each piece stacks on top of each other. There are 5 pieces all together. There is one drawer on the bottom then the three individual glass front book cases and a top section that holds them all together. So you see this comes totally apart for easy transporting to your home. This is in a mission style as you can see that from the knobs and the hardware on the bottom drawer. The wood is very dark and as I am not an expert on these things I am not sure what kind of wood this is? The varnish on this item has crackled a bit from age so you can see it is all ... moreoriginal and has not been touched. There are a few scratches here and there but could be easily touched up. I think for being over 100 years old this is in very nice condition. This is a fine antique and it could be used for your many books or even for a nice vintage collection of anything you might like to display. 1900s Oak Quarter Sawn Stacking/Barrister Bookcase Drawer Front only
1900's Quarter sawn oak barrister/stacking bookcase drawer front only. It is approx 32 1/2" x 4 5/8" I only have 1 knob/button and the other is missing. The finish could use some sprucing but is original. There is a small piece that is broken off on the back where the drawer bottom would fit but I have the piece to re-glue it. It has a serpentine type shape to it. Pictures will show you views of this item. Any questions please email.
