All sections are the very desirable Grade 299(quarter ... moresawn/tiger oak with the medium finish) Has the very desirable ogee(curved) top and bottom. All sections are size D-10 1/4. Bookcase is ALL ORIGINAL. Original finish. Original wavy glass, original knobs on the doors. Bookcase is ALL COMPLETE. All labels are present and intact. All glass is present(no cracks or breaks) All felt along the tops of the doors is complete and intact. All scissors mechanisms are present. All acid-etched side bands are correct and present. I rescued over 20 sections from a storage room of an old Chicago school library, and these 6 sections were in the best condition. Condition of the sections is way above average for their age. After 100 years the finish on these cases has usually"alligatored" Not here. Although there are the usual scratches and chips in the finish, which is to be expected(there is a rub of white paint on the right side of one section shown in the photos) the outside finish is overall extremely smooth with a nice gloss. The very top has the most wear and scratches as the librarians slid and stacked items on top of the cases. There is also the reside from 2 old pieces of cellophane tape on the front of the top. I can find no delamination of the back panels, nor any bubbling of the veneer on the very top. Being in a library for so many years has preserved them nicely. Overall size of the bookcase is 84" tall x 34" wide x 12" deep. If you need more photos. Or have additional questions, please email me. Because I don't trust my packing skills on something of this size and value. I am offering this bookcase as a local pick up.
