It is made of quartered oak with an antique oak finish and brass hardware. ... moreThe gold"Globe" stenciling still remains on the top of the unit. The dimentions are 18' deep. 17.5 wide and 31.5' tall. It is fully functional and the file cabinet unit and the card catalog drawers work as intended with the original hardware remaining. Condition: Good original condition with the usual age related scratches and blemishes to the finish. There is dark staining and a little rippling to the veneer on the top. Most of the finish is definately originial. But I'm really not sure if the sides of the file cabinet unit have been refinished at some point. They have the same type of wear as the rest of the unit, but are noticibly lighter than the patina on the rest of the pieces. The brass side bands have oxidation on parts of them. Shipping: Good news.I have all the packing materials and therefore will not charge a wrapping fee. Bad news.this is a heavy piece. About 60 lbs all packaged up so will be expensive to ship. This antique lawyers bookcase is in beautiful condition. All glass and sliding mechanisms are intact and in working order. There are a few tiny speckles of paint on the top and on one side. look close at the pics and you will see them) but they are barely noticeable. I did not dare try to remove them for fear of damaging an otherwise gorgeous finish. The middle door knob is slightly bent, but again, is it worth it to try to straighten it? Selling an Antique Oak Barrister Bookcase made by Macey. Measures 62h x 34w x 11d and has 4 sections in great condition. There is no issue with the Glass. Just a reflection from the flash. I am told the base(pictured) is probably not the original, it is the one I received with the unit. There was a repair made to the top at some point which is highlighted in 2 pictures. Unit originally had lights which were removed. You can see a small slit made at the top, back of each unit to pass a cord thru. Does not affect the unit from the front. The Barrister must be picked up on or before November 11.

34" wide. 69" tall, 12" deep. Three 10" tall D-8 1/2 sections, Two 12" tall D- 10 1/4 sections base and top. This is a completley original barrister fully sanded and refinished. Original brass side straps and handles polished and clear coated so will not tarnish. All original wavy glass. Only flaw is a burn spot on top. Vintage Steelcase Industrial 2-Tier Metal Stacking Lawyers Barrister Bookcase
For auction is one vintage Steelcase industrial metal stacking lawyers bookcase in very good original condition. It is painted a silvery gray color. It has been freshly and thoroughly cleaned and waxed. There are some minor scratches from use. And there are two small 1/16" dents on the top edge of one side, as well as some very fine rust around the metal frame of the lower glass flip-up door. The rusty areas has been polished and waxed and feel clean to the touch; the overall effect is more of a patina than of rust. The doors open and close smoothly. There is a small inventory number etched into the top left on the front of the cap. The units unstack easily and are held together by a lever lock on each side underneath, so it's easy to add more sections to as you find them. DIMENSIONS: 35.75" wide. 11.5" deep, 33.5" ... moretall. Up for auction is a beautiful set of 2 + 1 stacking lawyer Barrister bookcases in excellent condition with original wavy glass. What is here is a set of two matching sectional stacking bookcases that someone has added a perfect fitting 3rd piece to add to the height and storage capacity. The 2 section bookcase marked"The Globe-Wernicke Company" of Cincinnati and is unusual in that it has the original drawer at the bottom. The middle section is marked HALE of NY. Nice original brass hardware on each. Barrister cases were made by many companies designed to interlock in pieces so you could buy just two and add if you needed capacity. The set measures 47" tall x 37" wide x 12" deep. The top has been refinished to match the mahogany due to fading but matches wonderfully. This is a ca. 1900-1905 Fred Macey"D" 12" Stacking Bookcase Section. It has a golden oak finish. Measuring 11.5" Deep, 34" Wide, and 14.5" tall, 12" interior book height. The Macey stamp under the section reads"Macey Sectional Bookcase 4B" Its in overall very good condition with original finish. It has the double oxidized copper pulls. Condition: The overall original finish appears a little"dry" lost luster slightly) and has slight alligatoring. Original wavy glass and all original hardware including the back metal strap at the bottom of the back plywood that keeps it from warping over time and fits snuggly into the next bookcase section. It has the original spring loaded doors that still work. Note: there is a very small sliver/chip missing from the side of the door near the top that ... moreis barely visible from the front(see last photo. Shipping: Pick up or I can ship this via FedEx ground to the Lower 48. These sections are more difficult to pack and more expensive to ship. Shipping is at cost via FedEx ground. This is a ca. 1900 ogee quartered oak Fred Macey"D" Stacking Bookcase Top. It has the beaded trim! These are very hard to find and made only by the Fred Macey Co. from 1900 to about 1905. It has a golden oak finish. Measuring 12" Deep, 34" Wide, and 3" tall. The Macey stamp under the section reads"Macey Sectional Bookcase 4B" Its in overall very good condition with original finish. Condition: The finish appears a little"dry" on the sides(lost it's luster) And has a couple of the usual blemishes on the top. Note: in my last photo there is a small sliver of the inside board that is chipped. Right where one of the nails that secures the band is. I have the nail further secured by a tack so it does not fall out when the top is lifted off. The band itself is still very secure and not loose, still ... moreheld on tightly by the other three nails. All the hardware is original including the metal strip on the back that keeps the back plywood from loosing and rests snuggly on the bookcase section below.
