Holy hotness! For sale is one of two fully-restored General Fireproofing 3-tier metal lawyers bookcases. Professionally painted in an RAL 3001 Signal Red catalyzed lacquer. Each bookcase has three identical sections with glass doors that flip up and slide back. The glass has been thoroughly cleaned and the original aluminum pulls have been polished. Each one also has a metal plug on the bottom section where a lock or something used to be. Each section is attached to the other with four small metal screws. While they have been professionally restored. One does have a couple of minor imperfections, namely two very shallow impressions on the very top; one of about and inch and a half wide near one end and another tiny 1/4" ding. Oak Stacking Barrister Bookcase by Mayer & Thaheimer 75" Tall Wavy Glass Nice
This is a vintage Mayer& Thalheimer of Baltimore Stacking Barristers Bookcase. It measures 75 3/8" Tall-34" Wide-9 1/2" Deep. It will accommodate a 10 1/2" tall book. Four of the Five sections have the original wavy glass. The center ones glass has been replaced at some point. The bottom section has a different Mayer& Thalheimer tag than the top sections and has a different coloration on the back as you can see so it may be a marriage though it fits perfectly. Condition is very good. I've enjoyed it for many years but am moving to a smaller home and don't have a place for it. I'm not offering shipping but can be accommodating on working out delivery.

Antique Globe Wernicke 6-Stack 299 Grade Oak Stacking Lawyers Barrister Bookcase
Up for bid is a wonderful 6-stack Globe Wernicke lawyers or barristers bookcase made of quartersawn oak. All sections are the very desirable Grade 299(quarter sawn/tiger oak with the medium finish) Has the very desirable ogee(curved) top and bottom. All sections are size D-10 1/4. Bookcase is ALL ORIGINAL. Original finish. Original wavy glass, original knobs on the doors. Bookcase is ALL COMPLETE. All labels are present and intact. All glass is present(no cracks or breaks) All felt along the tops of the doors is complete and intact. All scissors mechanisms are present. All acid-etched side bands are correct and present. I rescued over 20 sections from a storage room of an old Chicago school library, and these 6 sections were in the best condition. Condition of the sections is way above average for their age. After 100 years the finish on ... morethese cases has usually"alligatored" Not here. Although there are the usual scratches and chips in the finish, which is to be expected(there is a rub of white paint on the right side of one section shown in the photos) the outside finish is overall extremely smooth with a nice gloss. The very top has the most wear and scratches as the librarians slid and stacked items on top of the cases. There is also the reside from 2 old pieces of cellophane tape on the front of the top. I can find no delamination of the back panels, nor any bubbling of the veneer on the very top. Being in a library for so many years has preserved them nicely. Top Cap For Globe Wernicke Sectional Stacking Barrister Metal Bookcase
You are buying the top cap ONLY for the sectional bookcase you see in the pictures. I repeat-just the top cap. The base and 4 sections are listed in other sales. The top cap is 2 1/4" tall and 33" wide by 13" deep. It fits over the top of a bookcase that has an indented top of 31 9/16" wide by 12 1/8" deep. The rest of the description describes the rest of the bookcase which you might need to see if this fits yours.These never had doors and are slightly taller than the ones that you find with doors. Size is just over 33" wide by 13" deep by 17 1/8" tall to the very top. The section that shows when stacked is 16 7/8" tall. The very top of the cabinet is a little smaller so that the base of the next section can lock into it. The smaller section at the very top is 31 9/16" wide by 12 1/8" ... moredeep. I have 4 of these cabinets that make up the larger stack. You are buying one with the chance to buy additional if you are the first buyer. If you buy more than one you need to buy one-pay for it-then buy the next-pay-and so on. I cannot combine shipping and ebay will combine it by weight and their combined invoice will be wrong. As you see the total structure it stands 80" counting the top cap and bottom base. There is lots of wear and scratching/loss to the paint and they could use cleaned up better.Some have writing and old tape on them. One of the sections has 2 holes drilled in the right side that you can see in a picture. The one picture shows the top inside of the cabinet. The only piece that is signed is the top cap. There is rust on the base but not much rust on anything else. The cabinets weigh 32 lbs each before packing and will incur even more dimensional weight by the shippers due to their size. You are buying one-1-single cabinet from the 4 section bookcase that you see. It is one of the 4 large center sections. the base and top are listed in other sales. These never had doors and are slightly taller than the ones that you find with doors. Size is just over 33" wide by 13" deep by 17 1/8" tall to the very top. The section that shows when stacked is 16 7/8" tall. The very top of the cabinet is a little smaller so that the base of the next section can lock into it. The smaller section at the very top is 31 9/16" wide by 12 1/8" deep. I have 4 of these cabinets that make up the larger stack. You are buying one with the chance to buy additional if you are the first buyer. If you buy more than one you need to buy one-pay for it-then buy the next-pay-and so on. Globe Wernicke Macey Style Antique Barrister Stacking Bookcase Top & Base
Up for sale is this barrister bookcase base and top. There is no label so I don't know the precise maker. The base is missing its bottom panel. There is some veneer loss/damage to the top along with other wear and tear, so please know that these are a refinishing project. The top measures about 34" across and 12" wide including the lip on the very top. The base is about 12 1/2" wide including the lip at the very bottom, and 34" across. The last photo shows how the top fits on a Macey D12 section, those sections are about 11 1/8"

Antique Vintage Lundstrom Barrister Lawyer Stacking Mahogany Bookcase - 3 Sets
Lundstrom Book cases- Circa 1926. Three tops with original brass plate. Three bottoms and 13 individual book cases- configure bookcases as you please. Each bookcase is 13" x 34" Old wavy glass. Door are in really good shape. Solid wood. Light repairs needed on side of a couple of the book cases but does not compromise the integrity. Backs of all the bookcases appear original except for two. All knobs are original but 5 missing. Very beautiful. Great addition to any vintage library. Overall good shape for their age. Bookcases come apart for easy handing.
