$375.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Scranton, United States This 2 section barrister bookcase has been refinished on the outside maybe 20 years ago and painted on the inside and on the back in a blue/grey sort ... moreof color. Probably done at the same time as the finish. The spots that might have revealed the maker name have paint on them so I am selling it as maker unknown. In addition to the 2 sections, it comes with the original top or crown, and a base with drawer. It also features metal side straps between each section and the scissor mechanism for the doors. No problems with the 2 glass doors. In fact, I see no problems at all. With the square straight legs it is very mission looking and being from about 100 years ago, I think we can safely call it authentic mission furniture in every way except the finish, although a lot of mission furniture WAS this color when it was new. The joints are all tight and all sections lock together easily and correctly. While only a 2 stack, it is a big 2 stack with each section able to take books as much as 13 1/2 inches tall. The over all measurement are 34 inches wide as most of these are, and with base and crown a total of 45 inches tall. It is a full 14 inches deep from knobs to back. I am listing this as local pick up only. BUT there are shipping/delivery options for you to chose from. RI delivery is $50 MA or CT. $100 If you are beyond those states. I would still deliver to most of the rest of New England, all of NJ, parts of PA that are East of Harrisburg and parts of NY that are East of Binghamton for $200. The only peeling or bowing of wood I see is the thinner pieces on the back of the piece(up against the wall on display) one at the very top on the back edge- lip that goes up. The top/ cap piece is included but there are no legs. There is one piece for the open& closure that is not attached to the screw. It lines up& the screw is in place(photographed) but needs to be re-attached. I am far from a professional with antiques- just loved to collect them- so the next owner may choose to re-attach or not. The doors glide smoothly while opening& closing. If you put very heavy things on the top it does put some pressure on the hinge part that makes the doors open& close which makes it harder to open& close. Up for consideration is a fine Oak Arts Crafts 4 stack barristers or stacking bookcase. The bookcase stands 50 1/2 inches tall by 34 inches wide. Each Stack is labelled with a paper label to the interior. Each Section is stacked on the other and they are different dimensions. The bottom section being 15 inches tall the two center sections being 13 inches tall and the top one being 11 inches. The depth is 11 inches deep and the overall depth at the feet is 12 1/2 inches. The bookcase has a patent date on the door sliding mechanism of 1908. The finish is excellent. It is original dark brown varnish with extra clean interior coloration. The inside of the bookcase sections measure approximately 31 1/2 inches wide by 12 inches tall. The over all condition is pretty decent with some expected wear from age and use. PICK UP ONLY IN TOLEDO. OHIO* Here we have an original, early 1900's era ~ LUNDSTROM MAHOGANY SECRETARY DESK STACKING BARRISTER BOOKCASE SET ~. This handy combination of a secretary desk and bookcase set measures 33 1/2" inches wide by 43 inches tall by 11 inches deep. The inside of the bookcase sections measure approximately 32 inches wide by 10 inches tall. It does have the original top and base as well. The over all condition is pretty decent with some expected wear from age and use. All in all, this was well cared for over the past 90 or so years.
