Antique 3 Section Stacking Lawyer's Barrister Bookcase
Lawyer's or Barrister's stacking sectional glass-front bookcase from the early part of the 1900's. Dark wood exterior. That I believe was refinished about 20 years ago. The interiors are natural(light) wood. The wood and finish are in very nice condition. All of the glass doors operate correctly, and serve to keep valuable books clean and dust-free. There are no water rings or other marks in the wood. Bookcase is comprised of 5 pieces; a base unit that stands approximately 9 inches from the floor. One tall bookcase section that is 14.25 inches tall, and two regular bookcase sections that are 10.50 inches tall. The fifth piece is a decorative top cap that finishes off the unit. The bookcase was made in the U.S. by F.E. Hale Manufacturing in Herkimer New York, sometime after 1907. Hale Manufacturing is still in business today making ... morebookcases, in Frankfort NY. Oak Barrister or Stacking Bookcase Replacement Door With Glass Trim , No Reserve
This door will fit most standard larger sized stacking bookcase section. The outside dimensions are 32-1/2" wide X 14" high. It is made from 3/4" thick cabinet grade oak. Custom made by a cabinet maker for restoration of an antique barrister type stacking bookcase but was never used. These replacement doors are hard to find in usable condition. Especially in this larger size. With a little stain and finish it will be ready to go in your antique bookcase. Also included but not pictured is the trim that holds the glass in place. No glass or hardware included and door may need some minor alterations to fit your model bookcase. Offered at no reserve and buyer pays actual UPS Ground shipping cost.

Up for your consideration is this very nice antique bookcase I purchased at an estate/consignment auction. It is around 51" high. 34" wide and 11" deep. It has glass pulls which I don't know if they are original or not. The stacks come apart easily and I can't find anything wrong with the piece. It does have a few nicks/scratches but nothing significant. Glass appears to be original. Could use a good cleaning but felt that was better done by the buyer. This is a pickup only but I would be glad to deliver to a shipping company in Cedar Rapids. Waterloo or Dubuque if the buyer contacts the shipper and arranges for the delivery.

Vintage Oak Lawyers Stacking Bookcase Door Glass and Hardware GRM Grand Rapids I sold a vintage mission lawyers bookcase awhile back and the bottom section had been damaged so I sold only the remaining sections. This is the door and hardware that was removed from the bottom unit. It is the glass door that hooks on the sides of the bookcase unit with the hardware for the sides of the bookcase itself. The bookcase it was removed from was oak so this also should be oak. The glass is in perfect condition. No chips or cracks. The knob is not original. The door is in wonderful condition and has the hooks attached on the sides as shown. It measures 32 3/8' X 13½' X 13/16' I did notice that this door is higher than the other ones were and it was on a bottom unit. I'm not sure if all the screws are there but that's what we ... morehad to remove but a screw or two is not hard to find. Some of the parts have some minor surface rust which should clean up easily.
