He was 96 when he passed and he got this desk from his parents estate in Spokane Wa. when they passed. It is made from solid oak and on the ends of the top board you can see that the top is tongue and grooved. Very hard to show in the pictures. I don't know tiger oak from quarter sawn oak so you be the judge. There is some what appears to be grey paint on one corner of the top. please see pictures. Someone drove 2 finish nails about 2' long into the top of one of the legs. One leg has a chip out of it at the bottom about the size of a quarter and another leg has a little grey paint at the bottom of one side. See pictures. I have made no attempt to repair. Clean or restore the finish on this desk, it is in the condition it was given me in. All in all this desk is in great vintage condition given its age. Top of desk 36 1/2" wide x 24 1/2" deep and the desk top is 29 1/2" above the floor. Will ship via Greyhound Bus to a station of your choice for you to pick up. There is a small dent inside the bookcase. It appears that something fell on the back of the bookcase. You can't see the dent unless you open the bookcase doors or look at it from behind. Each piece is labeled with a part number and name, so it appears that they must have been sold separately. This is for local pickup in Irving, TX. Georgian solid oak bookcase cabinet hand cut dovetails drawer moveable shelves
Antique oak. I think, bookcase/cupboard with drawer below. I am not absolutely sure on the date of manufacture but it has hand cut hidden uneven dovetail joints. Machine made dovetails came in the 1860's. Picture 3 shows the inside, side of the cabinet with pieces of wood which can be moved to adjust the height of the shelves, one of these pieces of wood looks unoriginal. Picture 4 shows the inside of the drawer and the square cut legs. The cupboard lock in picture 5, along with the drawer lock are marked/stamped'H.A.S. LEVER' I can't find the maker on the net. The drawer handles are a cast iron tear drop shape, held with an old square black nut on the inside of the drawer. Measure 4 feet high, 3 feet wide and 1 foot deep. The only real decoration to this cabinet is the beading shown in picture 7, so this would look ideal ... morein an old or modern house with it's simple lines. Picture 10 shows the front dovetail of the drawer and the last picture the rear dovetails which have been chamfered at the back. I was offered a lot more money for this cabinet when I lived in London by a rag and bone man, I don't know why, so study all the pictures and make up your own mind. This really is a lovely piece of furniture with a rich deep patination and a luxurious feel to the polished top. I bought this 41 years ago from a farmhouse sale in Devon. Hi. This is a stunning old piece of furniture dating back to mid 19th century. As you can see it's been hand carved with lovely features all around it. I have up for auction these Two Solid Oak Twin Trunk Beds. I have just taken a photo of one. Because the other is identical. The headboard has adjustable shelves and is approx. 44 inches wide and 43 inches high. The base with the mattress is approx. 71 inches long and is approx. 27" high with mattress. What is really cool about these pieces, as the second frame shows, are drawers and a cubby for additional storage. All kinds of cool spaces! This mattress is not a twin size, but a youth size piece. Dimensions are 57H X 34W X 14 D. A few minor imperfections such as the hole thru the back of one of the units.It won't be noticeable when you put books in in though and a small chip of wood missing out of the corner of the bottom unit. An antique bookcase of solid wood. Likely oak. 5 shelves including the base. The shelves can be removed and adjusted up and down. Total height- about 62.5 inches. Including decorative carved piece on top Width- about 39.5 inches Shelf depth- just under 10 inches There's a water ring on the top. And one of the pieces on the back can be shifted back and forth a little. It's sturdy and can hold a lot of weight(see picture) but it can be tilted back and forth on its base a little. This specimen post dates the Mission Oak American furniture movement which came about a decade later. This has the original William Morris English Arts& Crafts movement design. It is defined with three applied floral carved motifs on its top frieze and double stained. Leaded and textured glass doors. The case is made from very thick select cuts of solid tiger oak. It is in a very nice old well oxidized original finish. This finish takes on a reddish dark amber hew that is impossible to replicate. Up for sale is a BEAUTIFUL SOLID WOOD. SHAKER RIDGE" KINCAID DISPLAY CASE/CABINET. It is in great Condition with some wear scuffs at bottom edges which can be expected. There is a very small piece of wood at left bottom edge that is partially separated from moving and can easily be fixed. This is in a spot that is not noticeable. The drawers are very clean and inside is stamped"KINCAID SHAKER RIDGE SOLID WOOD SINCE 1946" Inside the cabinet is very clean.
