With the two corner cabinets, you could virtually line an entire room with teak or use sections in different rooms, the possibilities are endless. The rich amber finish on the unit is in very good condition, showing only slight wear consistent with age. The color along the entire unit is amazingly uniform. This is a very cool Danner style bookcase which stands about 5' 8" tall. 4 Sided with clear acrylic or lucite tube slats. Looks to be made from veneered MDF or particle board. The shelves are made of have some sort of pliable but study plastic. Vinyl? Shelves are black in color. Piece could use a cleaning as it's pretty dusty and there is old label or sticker residue on one part. The black plastic or vinyl shelves have a few small dents or impressions. There is one section of the veneered MDF or particle board that has a hole and cracked(see pics) Also. In this same area the veneer has some wrinkling. Has a metal stand on the bottom. Vtg 70's Teak Oak Orange Etagere Bookcase Mid-Century Modern Eames Herman Miller
This is a sensational circa 1970's etagere shelf rack unit. It is made of light teak or perhaps oak solid wood cross-members that clamp with set screws onto orange coated steel tubes which are very sturdy and support glass shelves. Very minimalist design. I do not know the exact age but I do know they are older and it has an Allied moving sticker with a patent date of 1965 and 1970 so I am leaving the sticker attached for reference and date approximation. It measures 85" tall 25.5" wide and 17 5/8" deep. It is in excellent overall condition with minimal wear. The glass shelves are removable and can adjust by moving the wooden bars up and down along the tubes. The glass is also in excellent condition but there is a large scratch across one that fortunately is not very noticeable. These come completely apart and will be shipped ... morein two boxes. Appears to be made from a solid frame(possibly teak or rosewood- can't tell for sure) and features birch veneered plywood on the shelf surfaces and interior divider. Very sturdy! Features two adjustable shelves. 3 drawers with original vintage hardware. Measures: 44" Wide x 52" High x 20" Deep. It does feature a few minor nicks and dings but nothing major on the back portion of the frame which could be sanded and repaired pretty easily. They've made recent reproductions of this shelf but I believe this is one of the good old originals. It is very well made and in very good condition. Some minor scuffs here and there but nothing serious. Overall measurement is: 27-3/4" wide by 28-3/4" tall. Shelves are 12-1/2" deep and so are the sides. The bookcase folds away as you can see in the picture- when folded it is 2-1/4" thick. Weighs about 25 lbs. unpacked. Great for an office. Sewing room or guest room. The top half shelves on the bookcase are adjustable and removable as is the bottom shelf. With the bottom shelf of the bookcase removed(as seen in first image) this would be a perfect TV/media storage center. The unit is in good/very good original condition. There are two large holes cut through the bottom of the bookcase and the top of the storage unit. Presumably to accommodate cords. However, these holes would be covered up entirely with whatever you chose to put on the bottom shelf of the bookcase, whether it be books or a TV. Additionally, the bottom large shelf may not be original to the unit, as its front edge is beveled, whereas none of the other shelves ... moreare. Offered for your consideration with no reserve is a great vintage mid century modern wall mounted shelving unit– Cado style. The unit appears to be made of solid walnut with brass shelf brackets. Branded on back of a rail: Made in Denmark. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with normal wear due to age and use. Some scratches and dings on wood– more noticeable along shelf edges. Small ring marks on one shelf. Missing one rear shelf holder– easily replaced at local hardware store. No screws included to attach to wall. VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN RETRO METAL BOOKCASE SHELF STAND
This auction features this beautiful 4 shelf all metal Mid Century Bookcase in excellent condition! It measures 36 inches high x 36 inches wide x 9 inches deep and has a beautiful faux wood paint that looks like new; no wear. Cracks etc. The ends are brass and the piece is strong. It does not wobble and is straight; I took a picture on an angle so it kinda looks uneven but it is not. It will be taken apart; very easy to reassemble; the small rubber caps on the bottom of the piece are worn through; but are not necessary to the piece. The pictures were taken outside; the surface has such a beautiful finish that it picked up the shadows of the trees; there is no rust, no dullness on this beautiful piece! MID CENTURY MODERN Rosewood/ Birch POD Bookcase Media Cabinet Book Shelf Storage Very unique mid century modern bookshelf or media cabinet! Most likely from the 1960s- 1970s. Great design with a"Pod" like open square shape and rounded corners. Appears to be made from a solid frame(possibly rosewood- as it has a distinctly'Rosie" smell. And lustrous fire appearance in the wood) and features birch veneered plywood on the shelf surfaces and interior divider. Very sturdy! Features two adjustable shelves, 3 drawers with original vintage hardware. Measures: 44" Wide x 52" High x 20" Deep. It does feature a few minor nicks and dings but nothing major on the back portion of the frame which could be sanded and repaired pretty easily. Please see the last three pictures for closeups of the flaws. Overall very good vintage ... morecondition! I can't find any designer marks on it, but there is one sticker that says the shelf/ divider plywood was made in Japan- so there is a chance that this might be a Japanese piece. Can't say for sure.
