Each of the drawers has a working lock and the key is included. There are 3 glass shelves on the upper center and 6 wood shelves in the upper left and right unit. Each of lower doors conceals one wood shelf. The upper unit is lighted but the current cord should be replaced. This item is in wonderful antique condition with only minor signs of age appropriate wear as pictured. The original antique bubble glass is free from breaks or damage which is very hard to come by. The backing to the upper unit looks to be lined in a off white colored wall paper and there is a red drip stain to this surface as seen in image#18 on the lower left side. Wear to the finish on one of the shelves can also be seen in image#18. Breakfront measures 92"h x 72"w x 16"d in total. The upper unit measures 56"h x 70"w x 12"d. The is a misson lawyers bookcase from Globe Wernicke. Label says 898 mission oak finish and each of the 4 sections are labeled. I think the finish is fumed oak and is a lovely mission look. 55 inches tall. 11 inches deep and 34 inches wide. 4 sections with a seperate top and bottom. Bottom has a nice drawer. Original finish. Original antique wavy glass. All doors open nicely and have all inside door mechanisms. All hardware is original except for 2 knobs which were replaced at some poit. Here’s a 4 stack Globe Wernicke bookcase in beautifully figured quarter sawn oak. It’s complete with top and base. This unit measures 47 ½” high. 34” wide and 11” deep(The top is 12 1/8” deep) Labels in each section read, top to bottom, 108-299 ½, 110-299, D10 ¼-299, 10 ¼-299. These are from my mother’s estate and are in very good condition– probably close to 100 years old, obviously there may be a very minor scuff or nick– but not many. All have the original wavy glass and brass knobs. Metal sidebands are naturally worn, and have a nice uniform patina. The wood has a wonderful patina also. Lundstrom Book cases- Circa 1926. Three tops with original brass plate. Three bottoms and 13 individual book cases- configure bookcases as you please. Each bookcase is 13" x 34" Old wavy glass. Door are in really good shape. Solid wood. Light repairs needed on side of a couple of the book cases but does not compromise the integrity. Backs of all the bookcases appear original except for two. All knobs are original but 5 missing. Very beautiful. Great addition to any vintage library. Overall good shape for their age. Bookcases come apart for easy handing.

Sectional case has the base,top, and three tiers. All shelves have original glass, hardware and pulls. Case is overall 40.25" tall/ 12.25" deep/ 26" wide. Two sections are 11.25" one is 13.25" tall. The wood top is in fair shape with some staining and scratching. The 2 smaller tiers are in good shape but the dark varnish is smooth in places and raised in places I think from just aging. The larger section is in identical condition. The base is missing the feet. The doors glide smoothly while opening& closing. If you put very heavy things on the top it does put some pressure on the hinge part that makes the doors open& close which makes it harder to open& close. It is very old but in great shape with a lovely, consistent semi-gloss finish on bright, heavily figured, solid-wood English oak cabinetry. The workmanship is excellent. This is the piece you want. It's functional, warm, and makes a tall, distinguished statement wherever it is situated. I don't know the exact vintage but am thinking early 20th century. Glass all intact. Hinge-work, articulated armatures for lifting and stowing panel windows is all functional. Even the tiny pulls are figured oak. The unit measures 69 7/8” high. 34” wide, and 11” deep. The labels read, from top to bottom: D 10 ¼-299, 108-299, 110-299, D10 ¼-299, D10 ¼-299. Lovely matching pair of oak step-back lawyers bookcases. Label says Globe wernicke of London. All doors have bands around each section. And all have brass knobs to open. Each section is labeled with the Globe wernicke label of London. Both bookcases have a drawer in the bottom. Top sections are in excellent condition. Both bookcases are 71 inches tall, 34 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches deep at bottom. One section is missing a scissor but still opens. Slight wear to back. Nice Globe Wernicke bookcase. Two pieces of the leaded glass are cracked but no sharp edges, could be used as is. There is some veneer lifting on the top as well as a small piece missing( see photos) These are grade 299 1/2, 3) are size d 8 1/2 and(1) is one size D 12 1/4. The D 12 1/4 has some gold crackle finish on the glass. If you know what this is called please let me know and I will upgrade the listing. There is a drawer in the base. Some of the label in the leaded glass section is missing. You can clearly see the size and grade. Here offered is the best metal Barrister Lawyer's Stacking Bookcase that I have ever offered for sale in the 40 years that I have been in the Antiques Business. This is a three stack bookcase made by Shaw-Walker one of the best Indusial and Office Furniture Manufacturing Company's of the 20th Century in America. The original green paint on this is in amazing condition. I had a very hard time showing the true color of this Green. This is much better looking in person than my photos show. This is a nice rich green somewhat darker than Army Green. There is only slight wear to the front bottom inside of the individual bookcase sections(These cannot be seen ... moreunless the door is open) and some minor scuffing around the bottoms of the feet. The top of the bookcase also has some scuffing from items being slid across the finish. This is not bad but you can see the marks if you are tall enough. There is no rust or dents to this Bookcase. On each individual stacking section on the back left side is an oval mark where a inventory or number tag was original affixed to the pieces. These are all missing and were probably taken off when this was decommissioned from a Company's inventory. This is 33" wide. 13 1/2" deep and 59" tall. Each Bookcase section is 16" high. The doors all lift up and slide properly and all the glass is free of cracks or chips. The knobs are made of brass. This Bookcase belong to a retired Lawyer in our area. As for age and maker I can not find any information on it. I do know it is at least 30 years old. The bookcase has been hand painted white and the inside is black. It has surface scratches inside on the shelves and some minor scratches and defects on the outer shell as well. Anyone who knows barrister bookcases knows that these are hard to find. I have literally owned hundreds of stacked bookcases and this is the second Ideal stack I've ever had. These were the'Bentley' of the bookcases made. All original stack here that was not assembled and was purchased as you see in the pictures. The condition is really fantastic. Original cleaned finish with minor wear, as with any antiques that are 100+ yrs old you may find very minor nicks, scratches and such but none here to call out. For your consideration is a gorgeous. Quarter sawn, I believe tiger oak barrister or lawyer bookcase with a beautiful base. All original finish and glass. It maintains it's original brass side bands which have darkened with age. This piece has 3 sections which are larger than a lot of barristers, therefore this particular one can accommodate larger books. The first section will accommodate 12" in height books. The 2nd 9" and finally the 3rd will hold 11 1/2" in overall height books. Dates to the late 1800"s. We purchased this 25 years ago at a wonderful antique shop in rural Ohio. We are downsizing so time for someone else to enjoy this treasure! Great to use in a bedroom to showcase personal treasures as well as using it as a bookcase.
